敎師의 專門性 涵養을 위한 現職敎育制度 改善方案 採索

Abstract

A teacher's quality has an important influence upon the education. His or her role in education becomes more significant with the rapid development of the society and bulgling information. To keep abreast with the rapidly changing educational area, a teacher has to make an every effort to improve his or her quality. The teachers' in service education has not produced any desirable results. In order to realize the anticipated result of the education for teachers, we should improve upon the system and method of the education for teachers. This study is mainly focused on the existing problems of the education for teachers and tries to search the reformation for it. For this, the following contents are investigated. 1. A research on the importance of teachers' specialization and the necessity of in-service education. 2. Finding the realities of foreign countries' in-service education. 3. Analysis about the motive of the teachers who enter a graduate school and its problem. 4. The purpose and the function of educational graduate schools and Korea National University of Education. This study is carried out with booklet along with the method of a questionnaire. The subjects are 495 of teachers from middle and high school in Daegu area. The materials of 405 out of 495 subjects are examined by means of Chisquare-Test. The result of the investigation is summarized followings. 1. Though the teachers are very interested in their specialization, their active role toward it is not enough to do that. 2. Many teachers have more positive attitude toward individual-based education and point out that the center-based education doesn't allow them to good result at classrooms after the education. The method of improving is that in-service education is estimated by grading system, and it is committed to the graduate school of education. 3. Many teachers have an intention to go to the graduate school, but they have a great difficulty for deficiency of time, higher school fee and so forth. So they want a stipendiary vacation during a graduate school. 4. Most of them have a little knowledge on Korea National University of Education. A number of teachers have a critical attitude toward the committing in-service education to Korea National University of Education. As a result, we can make conclusions for this study. The teachers need to make an effort about in-service education more energetically and voluntarily and to enhance their quality and ability. We attempt to improve in-service education through grading system. So that it is committed to the graduate school. Further more, the function of in-service education at Korea National University of Education is more enlarged and it need be open to many teachers.;敎師의 자질과 역할은 敎育의 成果를 좌우하는 關鍵이 된다. 사회의 급속한 변화와 지식의 팽창은 교사의 역할을 변화시키고 있으며 이러한 변화에 대처해야할 교사는 專門性 함양과 자기발전을 위하여 부단히 노력해야 한다. 교직의 전문화와 교사의 자질향상을 위한 現職敎育은 매우 중요함에도 불구하고 현재 실시되고 있는 現職硏修制度는 그 역할을 다하지 못하고 있는 실정이어서 改善이 요구된다. 따라서 본 연구는 현직연수제도의 문제를 分析하고 개선을 위한 방안을 탐색하는데 목적을 두었으며, 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위하여 다음과 같은 내용을 살펴보았다. 1 . 敎職의 專門性과 현직교육의 필요성에 대한 고찰 2 . 專門性 涵養을 위한 현직교사들의 연수 實態 및 문제점 把握 3 . 大學院進學의 동기및 진학에 따르는 문제점 분석 4 . 敎育大學院과 韓國敎員大學校의 設立目的 및 機能 본 연구는 문헌연구와 조사연구를 병행하였다. 분석을 위한 표집대상은 大邱市內에 勤務하는 中等學校敎師 495명을 표집하였고 이 중 資料處理가 가능한 405부를 변인간의 차이를 알아보기 위하여 Chi·Square Test를 하였다. 조사·연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1 . 교직의 專門性에 대한 인식은 여전히 높은 것으로 나타났으나 專門職業人으로서 교사의 자질 향상과 연수활동에는 소극적인 면이 많은 것으로 보인다. 2 . 현직연수의 형태로는 個人硏修가 바람직하다는 反應이 높았으며 기관중심연수의 문제점으로는 敎育現場에 대한 실용성 부족을 가장 큰 문제로 지적하였다. 改善方案으로는 學點制로 바꾸어 실시할 것과 敎育大學院에 교원연수를 위임하는 것에 찬성하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 3 . 많은 교사들이 大學院에 진학할 의사를 가지고 있으나 시간부족, 학비부담 등의 이유로 진학에 어려움이 따르고 있는 것으로 나타났으며 이에 대한 요구사항으로는 재학중 유급휴가를 가장 많이 원하였다. 4 . 韓國敎員大學校에 대한 인식은 " 조금 안다. "는 정도가 대부분 이었으며 敎員硏修機關으로의 위임 여부는 반대하는 교사가 많은 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 연구 결과를 토대로 다음과 같은 結論을 내릴 수 있다. 교사는 보다 적극적이고 자발적으로 現職硏修에 힘써 專門人으로서의 資質과 力量을 고양해 나가야 하며 현행의 機關中心硏修는 敎育大學院에 위임하여 學點制를 통한 硏修制度의 改善을 모색해 나가도록 한다. 또한 韓國敎員大學校의 硏修機能을 보다 확대시켜 많은 교사들에게 문호를 개방하도록 해야할 것이다.
