생태학적 접근에 의한 환경디자인 모형사례 연구 : 도시공원 사례를 중심으로

Abstract

Humans have increased entropy by conquering the nature and used important biological resources for their own needs so far. The conquering of nature, by constructing titles and gravitating people to them, with the name of the industrialization, has brought about the urban environmental problems and ecological crisis. Nature is a whole of life conditions transcendentally given to humans; if this is distroyed, then humans will be distroyed as well. And yet, environment of cities, where more than half of the haman population live, is becomming devastating aesthentically and humanly, therefore, balance of ecology is collapsing and becomming ill by the shortage of the land. This has been a result of the Descartes-Newton's mechanistic world-view and dichotomic thoughts, which has shown the limits of the modern physics. Therefore, the city environment of the modern customary and mechanical aesthetic concepts could not solve the complex city problems, and could not reflect the environmental and social demands. These negative views gave a way to the demands for seeing the world systematically and recognizing the continuously changing dynamism, and for conversion to ecological world-view of seeing the nature and humans as one organism. Therefore, applying ecological world-view in city environment design will give a way for the nature and humans exist together; will give vitality to the desolate and arid city space; and will maintain existence of city ecosystem. Therefore, this paper is written with a purpose to foresee the changes of way of life in the 21st century through recognizing an environment based on a correct ecological world-view, and to create environmental design of seeing the nature and humans as one organism. This paper is focused especially in environmental design of the city exterior, and written generally based on urban ecology, haman ecology, cultural ecology, and plant ecology. With this muli-subject aproach, this paper is progressed as followed. 1. To clarify the origin and meaning of the ecological crisis recognized as a world problem; to appreciate the value of nature by understanding the environmental problem, which is the most fundamental problem, from general comprehendion of entropy, scientific technology, and enomomical view; and to recognize the importance of ecological thoughts by observing several alternate points given as solutions. 2. To recognize the necessity of conversion to ecological world-view and to suggest the necessity of leisure space of cities by investigating urban environment together with the environmental problems and by predicting culture. 3. To understand meaning of ecosystem by considering the theory of ecology for ecological approach of the environmental design, and to grope for possibility of applying environmental design by considering what to analyze and how to differenciate concept fo ecological environmental plan from the mechanical design. 4. To present, with examples, how ecological environmental design's concepts is extracted through theory, how this concepts are applied in actual world. 5. By recognizing that public gardens or parks are the most suitable spaces, though small, for maintaining and improving ecological balance in the urban environment, and by applying the nature-friendly revival method of city parks and ecological park design to actual Seoul city parks, actual applying possibility of ecology to the cities is expanded. 6. A visual language is presented by creating a new spatial language with applying design concepts of objective and general ecological view, which are defined through this paper. 7. Through all the above mentioned processes, it was found that applying ecology to environmental design is possible, that it is economical because it can save more energy and resources than the existing mechnical design, and that spaces superior in diversity and pleasantness can be created by the systematic design with the nature. From the results of this study, it was recognized that the ecological environmental design is the most suitable for the new aesthetic value and to maintain peaceful lives for the humans and organisms of the present and the future. Moreover, through this paper, it was realized that the ecological design starts from the recognistion of seeing the humans and nature as a one and form being aware of significance of all the living things in our surrounding environment.;인류는 지금까지 자연에 있는 모든 것을 정복하면서 엔트로피를 증대시키고 지구상의 주된 생태적 존재를 오직 자신을 위해 이용해 왔다. 자연의 정복은 산업화의 이름으로 도시를 형성시키고 사람들을 집중시키므로 자연요소의 감소를 가져옴으로 해서 도시환경의 문제를 야기시키고 생태의 위기를 가져왔다. 환경은 인간에게 선험적으로 주어진 생존조건의 총화로 이것이 망가지면 인간도 망가지게 된다 그런데 인류의 절반이상이 살고 있는 도시환경이 미적, 인간적 측면에서 점차로 황폐화되어 가고 있어 생태계의 균형이 깨지고 토지의 부족으로 인해 병들어 가고 있다. 이는 데카르트 뉴튼 과학의 기계론적 세계관, 이분법적 사고의 결과로 현대물리학의 한계를 보여준 것이다. 그러므로 현재의 관습적이고 기계적인 미적 관념에 의한 도시환경은 이런 복잡한 도시문제를 해결할 수 없으며 환경적, 사회적 요구를 더 이상 반영 할 수가 없다. 이런 부정적인 측면은 전체를 시스템 적으로 보고 부단히 변화하는 역동성을 인정하고 자연과 인간을 하나의 유기체로 보는 생태학적 세계관으로의 전환이 요구하고 있다. 따라서 도시 환경디자인에 생태학적 세계관의 적용은 자연과 인간이 모두 다 편안히 공생할 수 있으며 삭막하고 건조한 도시공간에 생기를 불어주고 도시 생태계의 지속성이 유지될 것이다. 이에 본 연구는 올바른 생태적 세계관에 입각한 환경에 대한 재인식을 통해 21세기 생활양식의 변화와 자연과 인간이 조화를 이룬 하나의 유기체로서의 환경디자인의 창출을 목적으로 이루어 졌다. 본 연구의 진행은 특히 도시의 외부 환경디자인에 중점을 두어 도시생태학, 인간 생태학, 인문 생태학, 식물 생태학 등에 기본을 두고 총체적으로 이루어졌으며 다학문적 접근으로 다음과 같은 과정으로 진행하였다. 1. 현재 지구 전체의 문제로 대두되는 생태위기의 원인과 의미를 밝히고 가장 근원적인 문제인 환경문제를 엔트로피, 과학기술, 경제적 측면에서의 총체적 이해로부터 환경의 가치를 인식하고 해결점으로 제시되는 여러 가지 대안점을 살펴보아 생태사상의 중요성을 인식한다. 2. 환경문제와 아울러 미래의 도시환경을 고찰하고 문화를 예측함에 있어서도 생태학적 세계관으로의 전환의 필요성을 인식하고 도시의 여가공간의 필요성을 암시한다. 3. 환경디자인의 생태학적 접근을 위해 생태학의 이론을 고찰함으로 생태계의 의미를 이해하고 생태학적 환경계획의 개념은 기계적 디자인과 어떻게 다르고 어떤 점을 분석해야 할 지 고찰하여 환경 디자인의 적용 가능성을 모색한다. 4 이론을 통해 생태학적 환경디자인의 디자인 개념은 어떻게 유추되며 실제 그 개념이 공간에서 어떻게 적용되는지 사례와 더불어 제시하였다. 5 도시환경에서 작지만 생태계의 균형을 유지하고 향상하기 위해 가장 적합한 공간으로 공원임을 인식하여 생태학적 공원디자인으로서의 자연친화적 도시공원 재생방법과 생태공원 디자인을 도입하여 실제 서울시 도시공원에 적용하여 생태학의 실제 적용가능성을 확대시킨다. 6.위의 연구를 통하여 밝혀진 객관적이며 보편적인 생태학적 관점의 디자인 개념을 적용하여 새로운 공간언어를 창출하여 시각적 언어로 제시한다. 7. 위의 모든 과정을 통해 환경디자인에 생태학의 적용은 가능하며 기존의 기계적 디자인보다 더욱 에너지, 자원의 절약을 할 수 있어 경제적이고 자연과의 유기적 디자인으로 쾌적성, 다양성이 뛰어난 공간이 창출됨을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같은 연구결과 생태학적 환경디자인은 현재와 미래의 인류와 생물을 편안한 삶으로 지속시키며 새로운 미적 가치로 가장 적합한 것임을 재인식 할 수 있었다. 또한 본 연구를 통해 인간과 자연을 하나로 보는 총체론적 인식과 주변의 환경의 모든 생명체의 소중함을 느끼는데서 생태학적 디자인은 출발한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 본 연구는 인식의 위기, 생태 위기의 미래의 삶속에서 진정으로 가치있는 디자인이 무엇인지 제시하는데 의의를 둔다.
