葛藤構造를 중심으로 본 劇本 敎材의 特性

Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to seek the characteristics of drama text as a field of literature education through the analysis of the conflict structure and to suggest a better direction of text selection for effective drama education. First of all, the educational effectiveness was investigated based on the significance of literature education and conflict structure in the elementary school, and above it, drama text of the elementary school was analized to figure out the general tendency and its problems. The summary of the results in this study and the solution of it is as following : 1. Useful drama text for the effective literature education have to be enlarged in numbers, and the appropriate placement of juvenile and life story should be followed according to the characteristics of school grades. 2. In the intellectual development of children, their reasonable thoughts and independence is possible from the middle period of children. Therefore, the selection of life story which is made with children's experiences and impression have to be extended. 3. In the selection of juvenile story, imaginative world based on the child's reality and experience is to be included, and in case of life story, it is to be concerned with child's reality, such as setting and personification. 4. As for the aspect of children's moral development the later period of children is on the process of independent morality, so that aesthetic and literary factors as well as educational and ethic factors have to be considered. And furthermore, it is desirable that the physical and mental conflicts as well as the conflicts in human relations society and nature is to be included.;戱曲은 실제 人生場面과 가장 가까운 문학으로 구조에 있어서 葛藤을 주어 劇的 緊張感을 고조시켜야 한다는 조건이 따른다. 아동들은 이러한 희곡작품의 감상을 통해 想像力을 확대시킬 수 있으며, 人生의 조건이나 보편적 갈등, 이상 등을 이해하는 기반을 형성하게 될 것이다. 본 연구의 목적은 戱曲敎材의 특성을 갈등구조의 분석을 통해 알아보고, 효율적인 희곡 교육을 위한 교재 선정의 올바른 방향을 제시하는 데 있다. 먼저 국민학교에 있어서의 文學敎育의 의의와 희곡교재의 敎育的效果를 고찰하였고, 이를 토대로 교과서에 수록된 희곡교재를 갈등을 중심으로 分析하고 일반적인 경향과 문제점을 추출하였다. 위의 연구 결과를 간단히 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 희곡의 類型을 童話劇과 生活劇으로 나눌 때 동화극이 희곡교재의 主流를 이루고 있다. 2. 葛藤類型에 있어서는 한 인물내에서 일어나는 내부적 갈등이 1편이고, 나머지는 주인공을 둘러싼 외적 요소와 대립을 일으키는 외부적 갈등이다. 그중에서도 인물 대 인물의 갈등이 주류를 이룬다. 3. 사건이 전개되는 背景은 현재 아동들이 처한 삶의 공간과는 동떨어져 있으며, 갈등의 素材에 있어서도 상상적이거나 抽想的인 것들이 많이 다루어지고 있다. 4. 갈등구조를 통해 나타나는 登場人物의 성격은 대부분 단순하고 변화가 별로 없는 靜的 人物이 많았고 선인/악인으로 구별되는 경향을 보인다. 또 인물들의 행위는 倫理性에 치중되고 있다. 5. 갈등의 提示는 교재들 거의가 현실에서 쉽게 볼 수 있는 인물들 사이에서 발생하는 사건이므로 바람직하다고 본다. 그러나 갈등의 解消過程에 있어서는 誇張된 행동, 사건의 因果關係 부족, 偶然性의 개입 등이 작품의 자연스러운 전개를 방해하고 現實感을 약화시키고 있다. 이상과 같은 硏究를 바탕으로 제언을 하면 다음과 같다. 1. 효과적인 文學敎育을 위해 큰 역할을 할 수 있는 희곡교재는 갈등의 提示와 解消를 지극히 자연스럽게 처리함으로써 現實性이 높고 文學性이 풍부한 작품으로 선정되어야 하며, 이러한 면에서 현재교과서에 실린 교재의 수록을 再考해야 한다. 2. 아동의 知的 發達 수준으로 볼 때, 兒童中期(3, 4학년 시기)부터 독립성이나 합리적 사고 등이 가능하므로, 상상일변도인 동화극 보다는 아동이 경험하고 느껴보았던 일로 꾸며진 生活劇의 선정이 확대되어 학년별 특성에 맞게 적절히 배치시켜야 한다. 3. 교재를 통해 나타나는 葛藤類型은 도덕성에 치우친 인물 대 인물의 유형에서 탈피하여, 학년별 수준에 맞게 生活과 밀접한 인간관계의 갈등에서 사회, 자연, 나아가 物質과 精神의 갈등 요소들까지 다양하게 선택하는 것이 바람직하겠다.
