象徵性을 中心으로 한 人物畵硏究

Abstract

과거부터 현재에 이르기 까지 많은 예술가들은 상징적 표현을 통해서 내면을 전달하고자 하였는데 상징적 표현은 그들이 표현 불가능한 정신적 현실과 대면하게 될때 이를 나타내주는 중요한 표현 수단이 되었다. 왜냐하면 상징은 자신의 의미를 부여받은 감각적 대상속에 정신적 내용이 살아 있는 사실로 남아 있게 되므로 상징적 형상을 통해 관념뿐 아니라 각 요소들이 상호작용하여 감정, 기분 등을 암시할수도 있기 때문이다. 이러한 의미에서 본인은 자신의 삶속에서 고민해왔던 문제, 불확실한 상황에서 겪어야 했던 갈등에서 느낀 내적 감정을 인물과 상징이라는 표현 방법을 통해 나타내고자 하였다. 자신의 내면을 가장 잘 반영해 줄수 있는 표현 대상으로써 사실적인 인물을 주제로 삼았으며 이러한 사실적인 인물은 내면의 감정, 심리상태의 표현을 가능하게 해준다. 그러나 내면의 갈등요소나 구체적인 상황을 나타내는 데는 무리가 있다고 보고 내면표현을 돕고자 상징이라는 표현방법을 이용하였다. 이에 본인은 인물과 함께 상징적 요소를 통해 내면을 전달하고자 했으며 상징적 요소를 이용한 배경을 단순한 인물의 무대역할 로서가 아닌 상호 보완적인 역할로 보고자 하였고 상징의 기능과 역할에 중점을 두어 본인 작품에 나타난 형상들이 지닌 상징적 의미를 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 논문에서는 우선 상징의 의미와 상징적 표현이 회화에 나타나게 된 근본적 동기에 대해 간략하게 설명한후 이러한 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 내면을 나타내기 위해 주제로 선택한 인물이 외적인 형상으로서의 인간상이 아닌 내적인 심리 상태의 반영으로서의 사실적 인물이라는 것에 대해 설명하였고 이러한 내면성을 강조하는 본인의 의도를 효과적으로 전달하기 위해 이용된 상 (이후원문누락);From the past to the present, many artists have tried to convey the inside through symbolic expression, and the symbolic expression became one of the major expression methods which present the unexpressionable emotional reality. As a symbol remains the fact that spiritual contents stay alive in a sensitive object, each factor as well as an idea interacts with each other, and can imply emotions or feelings through a symbolic figure. In this sense, I tried to express the inner emotions which I had in my life and unsure situations through a character and a symbol. I employed a realistic character as the inner emotions object which can show the inside of oneself, and this realistic character and state of mind possible. however, I thought to present the inside conflict factors or concrete stituations was difficult, so used the expression of symbolism to help the inner expression instead. I tried to convey the inside through symbolic factor with a character, and also attempted to consider a background not just as the stage of a character, but also as a cooperative role. In this study, I described the basic motive and the meaning of a symbol, and under this theoretical background, I explained as realistic character not as a external figure but as the reflection of inner state of mind. To deliver my intention effectively, I described symbolic expressions, too. After describing the symbolic figures in my work, I'll examine how characters and symbolic factors were expression through the process of production. Finally, I'll study on the contents, composition and expression methods of each work through an analysis in order to help future productions by pointing out problems in each expression.
