Abstract
자료처리는 상담의 효율성에 대한 평가를 종속변인으로 하여 2x2x2(성 역할태도x문제의 심각성x상담자의 귀인 유형)의 요인 변량 분석을 하였다. This research is to study the women's perceptions of two counselor according to the traditionality of sex role attitude and severity of disturbance in the initial stags of female counseling. The most noticible point of this research is to apply "attribution match hypothesis" to female counseling. Subjects of this research were 160 female students at E University. The study was conducted with small groups of students in the language laboratory of E University. First, the questionnaires (sex role attitude questionnaire and SCL-90-R) were distributed, and then subjects listened to two counseling interventions. One of the interventions portrayed the counslor as attributing the weight issues to external, sociocultural causes (i.e., society's unrealistic expectations of women), whereas the other intervention showed the counselor as attributing weight issues to personal causes (i.e., poor eating habits related to a negative self-image). Then, they evaluated the counselor's effectiveness through CRF-S and counselor preference scale. The data, were analyzed by 2×2×2 (traditionality of sex role attitude × severity of disturbance × two counseling interventions) ANOVA. The results of this research are summarized as follows; 1. More disturbed women with nontraditional sex role attitudes evaluated the counselor with sociocultural attribution more attractive than pychological healthy women. 2. More disturbed women with traditional sex role attitudes evaluated the counselor with personal attribution more attractive than the counselor with sociocultural attribution. 3. More disturbed women with nontraditional sex role attitudes evaluated counselor more attractive than pychological heal thy women. 4. Women with nontraditional sex role attitudes preferred the counselor with sociocultural attribution. 5. Subject's sex role attitude differences did not have any impact on evaluating the counselor's effectiveness. 6. In female counseling regarding to women's weight and body-image, women preferred the counselor with sociocultural attribution than personal attribution.
