실내공간 조명 디자인 방법에 관한 연구

Abstract

과거 건축/환경디자인 분야에서 모더니즘 운동이 추구했던 '기능'위주의 물질적/기계적 건축양식은 인간을 하나의 기계로 간주한데서 비롯되는 인간소외현상, 획일화, 가치관의 혼란 등 현대의 여러 위기현상이 지적되게 되었다. 이를 통해 인간은 정신과 물질이 일치된 유기체적 존재로 디자인 과정에서 다루어져야 한다는 인식이 대두하게 되었다. 이를 위해서는 인간과학, 생리학 및 사회학 등 환경행위에 적절한 정보를 체계화함으로서 디자인에서의 효과적인 의사결정을 만드는 환경행태 지식을 계획과정에 적합화시키는 것이 필요하다. 즉 우리의 환경을 개념하는 가치관과 의도에 그 행위의 주체인 전인적, 유기체적 인간의 형태속성을 보다 본질에 가깝게 이해하고, 합리적인 행태과정이 추출된다면, 이러한 디자인은 개체와 집단을 위해 최선의 환경을 제공 해줄 수 있으리라는 확신인 것이다. 본 연구는 이러한 이해를 바탕으로 바람직한 환경디자인 접근방법을 통해 현 시대를 살아가고 있는 사람들에게 미래의 가치있는 방향으로 그들의 사고와 행동을 관리, 조절할 수 있다는 신념아래 출발한다. 환경-인간행태 이해의 맥락에서 본 연구의 중심은 여러 환경 요인 중에서 환경이 대한 자극 흡입의 87%를 담당하는 시각을 가능케하는 '빛'으로 한다. 여기에서 빛의 '자극'이라는 개념을 발전시켜, 인간이 어떠한 빛·환경에 대응하는 행태-이성적, 감성적 행위를 통칭한-가 일어난다면, 역으로 어떠한 범주의 행위를 유발시키기 위해서는 그 행위에 대응하는 빛환경을 조성시켜 주면 된다는 가정을 설정하였다. 즉 인간의 행위는 커다란 범주에서 빛의 조작에 의해 유도시키는 작업이 가능하다는 것이 이 연구의 전제가 된다. 이리한 논지하에 다음과 같은 방법과 과정으로 연구를 진행하였다. 1. 빛에 의해 형성되는 공간의 상대적 개념 및 물리적 빛의 성질, 인간에게 느껴지는 심리적 빛에 대해 포괄적으로 연구하였다. 2. 조명요소를 조명의양(조도), 조명의 질(휘도 Brightness, 현휘 glare)조명의 색으로 나누어 위와 같은 요소들이 공간내에서 어떠한 특질들을 가지고 있으며, 여러가지 조명기법과 그 공간연출 효과에 대해 살펴 보았다. 3. 조명의 방향, 양과 거리, 조명방식 등의 여러 요소하에서 유발되는 인간행태에 관한 선행 연구물을 추출하여 나타난 윤곽들을 토대로하여, 실내 조명 디자인 과정에서의 분석적/객관적 틀을 제시하였다. - 빛의 방향, 빛의 양과 거리, 빛의 색, 조명방식 등의 각 요소들은 인간행태에 영향을 주는 요소임이 확인 되었다. - 인간행태는 크게 이성적 작용, 감성적 작용으로 나누어 고찰하였으며, 각 조명요소들이 어떻게 공간내의 주관적인 시간적 인상을 좌우하는 가를 살펴보았다. - 이 결과를 역으로 적용하여, 의도하고자 하는 공간 개념을 실정하고, 그 공간내 사용자의 사고와 행동을 조절하기 위한 최선의 환경을 제공할 수 있는 분석적 틀을 제시하여 보았다. 4. 빛-인간행태를 중심으로 앞서 제시된 정보들을 기본으로 하여 디자인 과정에서 이를 창조적으로 수용, 시각화하는 실내 디자인안을 제안하였다. - 조명디자인 접근방법은 전체의 디자인 목표와 통합되어 이루어져야 하며 어떻게 그것을 강화하는가에 관심이 주어진다. - 프로그래밍 :모든 정보를 채집, 정리, 분석하여 계획상의 기초적인 기준을 설정하는 과정 - 디자인 단계 :활동의 우선순위 결정과 활동내역 배분, 이를 통한 공간 이미지 창출, 형태화 - 조명기법의 구성 :시각적으로 논리적 체계를 유도하여 적절한 밝기를 창출하는 빛을 유기적으로 구성 - Feed -Back 본 연구의 결과로서 나타나는 행태디자인에의한 실내조명디자인 접근방법의 한계와 극복방안, 의의를 제시해보면 다음과 같다. 행태디자인 과정에서의 한계점은 크게 다음과 같은 문제에서 기인하고 있다. 이는 인간행태의 추상적 속성과, 인간의 한가지 자극에 단순하게 반응하는 것이 아니라 전체적 사건에 반응한다는 점이며, 또 행태해석에 따른 합목적성이 예술적 자율성, 창조성을 잠식하리라는 우려를 낳게한다. 그러나 이러한 우려에도 불구하고, 유기체적 인간인식을 바탕으로한 인간과학, 심리학, 사회학 등의 입장에서의 통합적 인식 역시 디자인 결정과정에서 매우 중요한 정보임은 분명하다. 문제는 이러한 분석적 틀을 바탕으로 이를 창조적으로 수용하여 의도하고자 하는 공간의 성격에 맞게 재해석하고 디자이너의 예술 차원에서 미적공간언어로서 표출하여 공간에 적용하는 일이야 말로 가장 바람직한 디자인 접근방법일 것이다. 그간 우리의 형이상학 체계에 머무르고 있던 인간의 제문제들이 어느정도 계량화 됨으로서, 건축/실내디자인과의 간접적 접속이 아닌 보다 적극적인 기본지침이 되어야 한다. 본 연구는 과거 공학적 측면에서의 빛의 양 문제에만 치우쳐져 있던 빛환경의 문제를 유기체적/시스템적 존재로서의 인간이해를 중심으로 인간 환경행위 서로간의 관계속에서 파악해 보았다. 이를 통해 나타나는 행위패턴을 토대로 틀을 제시하였으며, 이 합목적성을 디자인 전개과정에서 어떻게 접근시켜야 할 것인가를 제시한 것으로 그 의의가 있다 하겠다. 이러한 바람직한 환경디자인 접근방법을 통해 미래의 가치있는 방향으로 인간의 사고와 행동을 관리, 조절할 수 있다는 디자이너의 신념을 확인하며, 이러한 환경디자인 접근방법에 대한 필요성과 그 가치가 인정되야 한다.;"Function" -oriented material/mechanical architecture style which was pursued by modernism on the field of the past architecture/environmental design brought about modem emergency phenomena -human estrangement, uniformity, confusion of the sense of value and so on-caused by considering man as only machine. Through theses crises, it has been raised the recognition that human being must be treated as organism reconciled mind with matter during design process. Therefore, for this object we should make it suitable for a plan process the knowledge of environmental behavior which make effective decision on design, with systematizing suitable informations of environmental ad-human science, physiology, sociology, etc In other word if we understand properly behavior attributes of human being-the subject of the act, his whole personality and organism, and if we abstract rational behavior process, I am sure that design provide the best environment for the individual and aroup. Based on the prementioned understanding, the study begins with its purpose and confidence that through some desirable approach to environmental design, the idea and behavior of human kind at the present age can be controlled and adjusted. In the view of understanding of environment-human behavior, the essence of this study is "light", one of the various environment factors, which enables vision that takes charge of 87% -imported stimuli of environment In tlus study, with developing the concept of "stimulus" of light, I established the hypothesis-" If human behavior which is the combined concept of emotional and rational action is occurred by responding to a certain light environment, we may make reversely light environment in order to induce the action in a certain range" That is, it is the basis of this study that human behavior can be induced by controlling light with wide range. On the basis of these thoughts, I progressed this study as following process. 1. I studied generally the realative concept of space formed by light, physical properties of light and psychological light which human feels. 2. I divided lighting factors into three categories- quantity(illumination), quality(brightness, glare), and color of lighting. And then, I inspected characteristic in space, various lighting techniques, and the space coordination effect 3. On the basis of the outline abstracted by pre-studied matters about human behavior occurred under various factors-direction, quantity, distance, and method of lighting, I suggested analytic/objective framework of interior lighting design process. - confirmed that direction, quantity, distance, color, method of lighting - each factor affects on human behavior. - looked on human behavior by dividing into rational action and emotional action. and inspected how each of lighting factors effects on subjective visual impression of interior space. - appling these results reversely, I established space concept which can purposed. and suggested analytic framework which can produce the best environment in order to control user's thinking and action in interior space 4. Imade a visualized interior design proposal, accepting creatively pre-suggested imformtion concentrating on light-human behavior during design process. - approach method of lighting design sould by unified with global design object. and it is focused how we strengthen that. - Programmin: the process that establishes basic criterion of plan through collecting, arrangement, and analysis of all the imformation - Design step: creation and formation of spatial image through decision the order of working and sharing of working items. - Composition of lighting technique: compositing light organically that creates proper brightness by guiding logical system visually. - Feed - bak I cna show the results of this study in the following paragraphy-the limitation of interior design approach method by behavior design, overcoming method of the limitation, and significance of this study. The limitation of behavior design process results broadly from following problems. Those are abstract attributes of human behavior, and that man does not simply respond to one stimulus but whole event, and also there is anxiety that rational objectivity of behavior analysis overwhelmes art freedom and creativity. But, for all that anxiety, it is clear that integrative recognition from a standpoint of human science, psychology, sociology which are based on understanding of organic human being is also very important imfornation at design decision process. So, appling them to the space, with accepting creatively them on the basis of analytic framework and reanalyzing characteristic of the space to be purposed, and expressing as art spatial language in artistic level, may be the most prospectable design approach method. As human's problems which have been stayed within metaphysical structure have been quantified, it must be basic criterion of more active plan, not indirect contact with architecture and interion design. In this study, taking the point of understanding human being as organic/systematic existence, I grasped the light-environment problem, in the mutual relationship of human with environment behavior, which has been partial to quantity of light from the aspect of engineering. I suggested the analytic framework on the basis of behavior pattern appeared through that and showed how we should approach the rational objectivity to design process. That is the significance of this study. I am sure of designer's belief that the thinking and action of man can be controlled and managed toward the valuable direction of the future through prospectable approach method of environmental design. And the necessity and value of the approach method of environmental design should be admitted.
