순환적 의미로의 윤회에 대한 표현 연구

Abstract

과학의 발전과 문명의 끊임없는 발전은 문명의 이기와 물질만능주의라는 정신적 불안성을 지닌 병적인 현대사회를 만들었다. 도시의 발달과 각박해져가는 현대사회에서 현대인들은 인간성을 상실해 가고 육체와 정신 모두 황폐해져 가고 있다. 이렇게 황폐해져가는 인간성은 타인을 돌아보지 않는 이기심과 배타적 성격, 그리고 끊임없는 욕망으로 타인에게 해(害)를 끼침은 물론이거니와 스스로의 삶의 모습 또한 어둡고 부정적인 모습으로 채워 나가고 있다. 이러한, 삶은 단순한 일회적인 삶으로 받아들여져 그 이기심이 극에 달하게 된다. 그러나 여기서 우리는 삶 즉, 인생이 일회적이고 단편적인 모습이 아닌, 반복적이고 순환적인 모습이라는 것을 알아야 한다. 외관적으로 인생은 단순히 생로병사의 끊임없는 반복 순환으로 보이나, 그 이면에는 인과응보에 의한 긴밀한 연결에 의해 지배받는 것이다. 종교적인 관점에서 볼 때, 이러한 끊임없는 반복과 순환을 윤회라고 한다. 본 연구에서는 인생은 윤회한다는 관점에서 보고, 순환되는 윤회로의 인생을 살아가는 현대인들의 삶의 지표를 찾고자 하였다. 현재의 자신은 과거의 타인이었을 수도 있으며, 미래의 타인으로 태어날 수도 있다는 윤회사상을 현대인들에게 타인을 이해하는데 도움을 줄 수 있다고 보며, 원인에 대한 결과가 있고 인과에 대한 응보가 존재한다는 것을 전제로 살아가는 삶은 인간 관계에 있어서 보다 더 책임감 있고, 긍정적인 삶을 살아가기 위한 방향을 마련해 줄 것이라고 본다. 이러한 윤회적 삶은 크게 보아 인간대 인간, 사물, 동물 등과의 관계에서 얻어지는 모습으로 볼 수 있고 작게는 한 개인 내면의 심적 상태의 끊임없는 갈등 극복의 모습이라 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 삶의 윤회를 통해 타인을 이해하고 현대인의 무책임하고 무분별한 행동에 대해 새로운 지표를 제시하여 궁극적으로는 인간성 회복을 꾀하자는데 있다. 이론적 연구 방법으로는 국내외의 문헌자료를 중심으로 삶의 순환에 대한 윤회의 철학적 배경과 윤회적 삶을 상징할 수 있는 원과 태극의 기원과 개념에 대해 연구해 보았다. 또한, 삶의 상대적 개념은 동양적인 윤회의 사상에 입각하여 상대적 색채를 사용하였던 Escher의 판화작품을 제시 분석함으로써 연구내용에 대한 이해를 돕고자하였다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서는 시각적으로 지각될 수 없는 철학적 의미의 윤회의 순환성이라는 관념을 주관적으로 해석하여 색채와 형태를 통해 상징적으로 표현하여 시각적으로 나타내고자 하였다.;The evolution of civilization and the development of science have ma de modern society materialistic and psychologically unstable. Due to today's progressing big cities and cold hearted society, people and losing touch with humanity and are decaying physically and mentally. This deterioration of humanity not only inflicts harm on other thru egoism, exclusivism and endless greed but also makes one's life dark and pessimistic. This kind of life is understood as a transitory life in which egoism reaches its peak. But we should know that our lives are not transitory or just a tiny fragment but are repetitive and circulatory. Life forms itself through endless revolution of life and death. Life simple seems to be an endless repetitive cycle of life and death from the outside but internally it is governed by the close connection of retribution. This study views life as transmigration and aims to find the direction of life of the modern man who live the revolutionary transmigrating life. The belief of transmigration that who I am today could have been someone else in the past and can be born another in the future helps modern man understand other and based on the fact that there's a cause to every happening, leads to a more responsible and optimistic view on life. This kind of transmigratory life can be seen as what is acquired through the relationships of man versus man, matter, animal, etc. on the whole, to an individual's endless resolution of conflicts of the inner psychological state. Thus the purpose of this thesis is to understand others through the transmigration of life and offer new direction to the irresponsible and thoughtless actions and ultimately recover humanity. Based on national and foreign publishments the writer researched on the philosophical back ground of transmigrationism of circulatory life and origin of the circle and the yinyang which symbolize transmigratory life. Also by showing and analyzing Escher's print works which used relative colors based on the oriental transmigration of life, the researcher aims to help understand the relative concept of life. This study aimed to show visually and express symbolically the philosophical significance of the notion of revolutionary transmigration through color and from based on subjective interpretation.
