시적 체험을 통한 일상적 사물의 은유

Abstract

우리들의 시선에 대하여 사물은 사물의 시선으로 응답한다. 내면의 눈으로 어떤 하나의 사물을 응시하면 사물에 이끌리어 내면 깊숙한 곳으로 빠져 들게 되고 예기치않은 경이로움으로 마주하게 된다. 이러한 만남은 내면 깊숙한 곳에 존재하는 신비스러운 친화력에 의하여 현실속으로 꿈의 범람이 일어나 모든 것이 예견할 수 없는 양상을 띠고 환상세계를 떠다니는 몽환상태의 체험을 이끌어낸다. 본 연구의 목적은 일상에서 스쳐버리기 쉬운 평범한 사물과의 교감으로 이루어진 시적 체험을 표현하는데 있다. 그것은 사물의 이면에 내재되어 있는 신비와 꿈을 드러내어, 우리 주변의 사물을 열린 시각으로 바라보게 하는 것이다. 본 연구의 내용은 개인적인 경험, 상상력, 무의식적 공상 활동의 가치를 적극적으로 평가한 초현실주의와 초현실주의 미술에 나타난 시적 표현의 양상을 이론적 근거로 제시하였고, 작품의 표현 내용에 따라 방법을 모색하였고, 주관적 표현 방법으로 제작된 작품 7점을 내용과 방법에 근거하여 해설하였다. 표현의 내용은 일상적 사물에 대한 정감적 인식과 교감으로 이루어진 체험속에서 시적인 의미로 전이된 사물의 모습이다. 이를 표현하기 위하여 주관적인 표현의지에 따라 크기가 변형되는 심리적 원근법을 사용하고, 사물을 자연적인 양상에서 벗어나게하여 시적인 의미를 부여할 수 있는 상황에 놓아 두었으며, 물질적 재료 또한 일상속에서 만나게 되는 재료로 시적 체험을 환기하는 또 하나의 시적 체험에 의해 선택되었다. 그 결과 작품의 형태는 현실적인 비례와 크기에 상관없이 확대되어 지며, 재현적인 요소에 꿈이나 환상같은 심리적인 요소가 공존하는 몽환적인 모습으로 표현된다. 작품은 시적인 의미가 부여되는 공간에 설치되어 시적 체험으로 변모한 사물이 지닌 의미를 부각시키고 낯익어 시선을 끌지 못하는 일상의 물체를 뜻밖의 것이 되게 하여 놀라움을 주게 된다. 또한 일상에서 발견된 친숙한 재료의 사용과 시적인 효과를 북돋아주는 색채의 사용으로 변모된 이미지에서 드러나는 의외로 움에도 불구하고 친밀감을 느끼게 한다. 본 연구의 작품은 환상적인 것, 경이, 유우머가 뒤섞여 있는 시와 같은 이야기로 나타나며 자유롭고 동화적인 환상과 서정적인 감흥을 이끌어낸다.;An object returns our gaze with its own. If one gazes at an object with the inner-sight, one cannot help but get sucked into the object and lose oneself in it and confront unexpected reverence of the object. This meeting protracts the experience of state of fantasy that floats in the imaginable world with the unforseeable aspects that dreams overflow into reality with certain chemical attraction. Expressing the very inner experiences involves observing the objects surrounding one by exposing the inherent fantasy and dreams within the context of the very object. The purpose of this study is to fully express the inner experience by sharing the feeling with the easily overlooked common objects. The contents of this research has been presented with the evidence of theory by illustrating the surrealism in true art-form and honest evaluation of surrealism through the mechanism of personal experience, imagination and unconscious dream-like activities. The contexts of expression is to present the objects' appearance that is being derived from the inner-experience formed by emotional recognition of the objects being transferred to a poetic sense. In order to illustrate this, the objects have been placed out of its real habitats to invoke admiration and interpreations, psychological perspective that alters size in connection to the subjective will of expression, create myusticism by displacement of the objects from its ritual habitats by defying the law of nature and creating inconsistency in spacing of the objects, and further, the material ingredients were chosen out of the ordinary world and inspired awakening of poetic experience out of yet another poetic experience. As a result, the shapes of the work are enlarged-regardless of realistic proportions and illustrated as a dream and phantasm as a derivative of co-existence of elements of revival, psychological elements like dream and fantasy. By locating the work in a place of poetic significance whereby allowing the ordinarily ignored objects face the full exposure by transiguring allowing the ordinarily ignored objects face the full exposure by transfiguring the objects through poetic experience. Moreover, usage of colors that observers are accustomed to, enables the work to be closely related to the realistic world despite its disfigured physical apperances. This research work therefore, has a mixture of fantasy, humor and wonder, the qualities that are only found in a naive and beautiful poems and, moreover, the work draws out the qualities that could also be found in unrestricted dreamlike fairy tale and lyricism.
