복식조형의 초현실적 표현에 관한 연구

Abstract

The surrealistic idea and its expressional style, which aim to explore human innermost world of deep-consciousness and unconsciousness escaping daringly from traditional artical modes and expressional concepts, have had a wide and incessant influence on the fashion of dress and its ornament, and, also are being continuously pursued by general deep concerns and interests, now being verified in its modes. Here comes a necessity to investigate into some characteristics of the surrealistic expressional style appeared in the fashion, That is, the purpose of this study lies in seeking a possibility of surrealistic expression in fashion modeling and also in analyzing its formative characteristics. For this, first, the arisement and general idea of surrealism were searched for, second, the expressional mode of Automatism and Depaysement as the required methodological principles for realizing the idea were examined in detail, and then, finally, how this surrealistic idea and its expressional mode have been correlated with the fashion trends of dress and its ornament, and also in what forms, especially, the principle of Depaysement have been applied to fashion modeling were explored. For the methodology of the study, literary research, some processes of working, and analyzing of them were employed together in parallel; total eight pieces of works were presented as the objects for analysis; and, there, the visual characteristics emerged by subjective expressional attitude were mainly focused on for the analysis. The results can be summed up as follows: First, The application of surrealistic idea and its expressional mode into the fashion modeling have made an access to a formative-artistic expression of the fashion possible. Second, the expressional method of Depaysement was identified as a successful way by which surrealistic image can be concretly represented in fashion modeling. Third, it was confirmed that the introduction and suggestion of various surrealistic objects have us abandon habitual attachment to certain concepts of objects, and, that, at the same time, all the objects can become equal subjects of formation. Like these, incidentally, some surrealistic expressions in fashion modeling have become shaped into various forms and diverse materials according to their employed expressional modes; and, through actual working processes, some potential availability of the expression of surrealistic image has become to be expected.;기존의 예술양식과 표현관념으로부터 과감히 탈피하여 인간의 내면세계인 잠재의식과 무의식의 세계를 탐구하는 것을 목적으로 한 초현실적 사고와 그 표현양식은 복식에 광범위하고도 영속적인 영향을 주었다. 따라서 현대에 이르기까지 그 양상을 달리하면서 깊은 관심 속에서 계속 추구되고 있는 복식조형에 있어서의 초현실적 표현양식의 특징을 연구해 볼 필요가 있다고 본다. 본 연구의 목적은 초현실적 표현양식의 조형적인 특성을 분석하고 그것을 바탕으로 복식조형에 있어서 초현실적 표현의 가능성을 시도하여 조형예술로서의 복식의 발전과 그 표현영역의 확대를 모색하려는 데 있다. 본 연구의 내용은 이론적 배경으로서, 초현실주의의 형성과 이념을 살펴보고, 특히 그 이념을 실현하기 위한 방법적 원리로서의 오토마티즘과 데뻬이즈망의 표현양상을 구체적으로 검토하였다. 또한 이러한 초현실적 사고와 표현양식이 복식에 미친 영향과, 초현실적 표현양식 중 특히 데뻬이즈망에 의한 표현방법이 복식조형에 있어서 어떠한 형태로 적용되어져 왔는가를 고찰하였으며, 그것을 토대로 복식조형의 초현실적 이미지를 표현하였다. 본 연구의 방법은 이론적 배경의 연구를 위한 문헌조사와 참고작품을 표집하여 그 조형적인 특성을 분석한 후, 그것을 토대로 작품제작을 하였다. 작품은 데뻬이즈망의 표현방법을 다양한 각도로 응용하여 전체적으로 기이하고 불가사의한 초현실적 이미지를 연출하는 데 중점을 두어 총8점 제작하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 종합하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 복식조형에 있어서 초현실적 사고와 표현양식의 적용은 복식의 조형예술적 표현으로서의 접근을 가능케함과 동시에 복식의 일반적인 미적개념에 새로운 경험과 의미를 부여하였다. 둘째, 데뻬이즈망적 표현방법은 복식조형에 있어서 초현실적 이미지를 다양한 각도로 구체화할 수 있는 한 방법임을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 복식조형에 있어서 데뻬이즈망에 의한 오브제의 다양한 도입과 제시는 사물에 대한 습관적인 관념을 버리게 함과 동시에 모든 사물이 동격으로 조형적 대상이 될 수 있다는 확신을 주었다. 이상의 결과로 복식조형의 초현실적 표현은 그 표현양식에 따라 다양한 형태와 여러가지 재료로 형상화되었고, 실제 작품제작을 통하여 앞으로 초현실적 이미지 표현의 응용에 대한 가능성을 제시하였다.
