누드를 모티브로 한 造形的 實驗硏究

Abstract

Painting replaced the area of langauage in the prehistory when there existed no languge. In other words, they were closely related to human life as the communication method and the record of outer world. However, these arts became to change into the individual anguage of each artist. Various styled painting as the individualities of various people have gradually been passed down with continuous changes in their style. This style means a modeling language of artists which searches for something new and fresh. Art comes along with its time and social change. The change of human life with the development of science is an example, and all the records, which had to be treated by artists in the past, now are replaced by visual media like photos or TV. For this reason, the definition and the future role of painting once was reconsidered, but it has lasted so far, and the vision of artists have been broadened. The role of the past's arts has changed from 'the realization of an object', to the emphasis on the experience, performande and concept of artists. Artist tried to grasp the essence of an object rather than the function of delivering the image of an object, and abstract painting appeared. However, abstract painting made more difficult for artists and people to communicate with each other. Therefore, in these days the image is recovered as the past, and various experiments, which have traditional modeling techniques and modern tastes fused in, often appear. I wanted to harmonize the concrete with the abstract, which was the contrasting modeling concept, as the goal of my work. In this study, I first analyzed the concept, and endless repetition and replacement of the concrete and the abstract appeared in western arts history. In addition an analysis of the current trend which shows a mutual relationship between the concrete and the abstract is needed. And I examined the traditional abstract beauty of the East by comparing it with the former one. On the basis of this theory, I'd like to achieve my goal through the experimental modeling process with the motive of the human body.;언어가 존재하지 않았던 선사시대부터 그림은 시각적 소통의 수단으로서 언어의 영역을 대신했다. 다시 말해서 인간이 자신과 외부 세계에 대한 지식을 기록하고 타인과의 의사소통 수단으로써 인간의 삶과는 분리시켜 생각할 수 없을 정도로 밀접한 관계를 맺어왔다. 그러나 이러한 미술이 현재로 내려오면서 미술가 개개인의 개별적 언어로 바뀌게 된다. 인류역사가 이어지면서 각 사람들의 개성만큼이나 다양한 스타일의 그림들이 끊임없는 양식의 변화를 겪으면서 꾸준히 내려오고 있다. 이 스타일이라는 것은 화가들만의 언어, 즉 무엇인가 새롭고 신선한 것을 추구하고자 고민하는 조형언어를 말한다. 예술은 시대와 사회의 변화와 맥락을 같이 한다. 과학의 발달로 인한 인간생활의 변화가 그 한 예로, 과거에는 화가의 손을 거쳐야만 했던 기록들이 사진, 텔레비젼과 같은 영상매체가 그 위치를 대신하고 있다. 이로 인하여 한 때 회화의 역할이 가지는 의미와 나가야할 길이 재고되었던 시기도 있었지만, 회화의 명맥은 계속 유지되고 있으며 오히려 미술가들의 시야는 더 넓어지고 사회의 변화에 따라 민감히 변화되어옴은 회화사를 통해 명백히 알 수 있다. '대상의 재현'이라는 것이 화가의 의무로 여겨졌던 과거 미술의 역할이 현대에 와서는 화가의 경험과 행위, 개념이 중시되는 방향으로 변해왔다. 구체적인 대상의 이미지 전달으로서의 기능보다 대상이 가지는 본질을 파악하려 애썼고 그로인해 자연히 추상화의 길이 열려졌다. 하지만 구체적인 형상을 잃어버린 추상화는 점점 더 미술가와 대중의 소통의 길을 멀어지게 했다. 그래서 근래에 들어서는 다시 과거와 같이 이미지가 회복되고 전통적 조형기법과 현대적 취미가 용해된 다양한 조형실험이 빈번히 나타난다. 본인은 이러한 새로운 조형실험의 일환으로 상호 대립적인 조형이념이었던 구상과 추상의 조화를 작업의 목표로 삼고자 하였다. 이에 대하여 본고에서는 우선 서구미술사 속에 나타난 구상과 추상의 개념과 그 끊임없는 반복과 교체의 흐름, 이어서 상호 보완관계로 바뀐 이 시대의 경향을 분석해보고 그와 비교해서 동양에서 보는 전통의 추상미를 알아보고자 한다. 다음으로는 이와 같은 이론을 바탕으로 해서 본인이 목표한 바를 인체를 모티브 한 조형실험과정을 통해 밝히고자 한다.
