Metamorphose에 의한 환상적 표현연구

Abstract

이카루스의 욕망처럼 자신의 파멸을 알면서도 그 흐름에 맡겨 버리는 인간은 변화에 대한 강렬한 욕구를 가지고 있다. 인간의 이러한 욕망은 현실을 확대시켜 신비의 세계, 꿈의 세계에 이르게 한다. 이는 가시적 현실이외의 신비, 환상, 꿈 등 눈에 보이지 않는 것들을 가시화하여 현실을 새롭게 해석하고 삶을 윤택하고 풍요하게 만든다. 본 연구는 일상의 평범한 사물들에서 신비의 두께를 읽으며 감성이 부재된 현실세계의 시.공간 속에서 꿈꾸는 일 그리고 그 꿈을 표현하여 사물이 갖는 이미지가 시적 환상으로 드러나도록 하는데 주력하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 Metamorphose에 의해 일상적 사물을 환상적으로 표현 하는데 있다. 연구의 내용은 이론적 배경에서 환상성의 근원과 여러 양상 그리고 Metamorphose의 의미와 회화와 조각 작품에 나타난 여러 양상을 살펴보았다. 작품의 표현내용에 따라 방법을 제시하였고 내용과 방법에 근거하여 주관적 표현방법에 따라 제작된 작품 7점을 해설하였다. 연구의 방법은 문헌조사와 작품제작을 기본 도구로 하였다. 표현 내용은 일상에서 경험하는 사물을 모티브로 하여 시각적 연상작용을 통해 사물을 시적이미지로 변화시켜 사물에 대한 새로운 비젼을 제시하는 것이며 사물이 지닌 또다른 이미지들의 무한한 잠재력을 작품에 투영하여 시적 환상을 표현하는 것이다. 환상성을 표현하기 위해 본 연구에 사용된 Metamorphose의 특징은 첫째, 한 공간에서 두개 이상의 이미지가 동시성을 갖는 이중영상 둘째, 현실적 사물에 시적 변용을 가하여 친근하고 평범한 사물들이 변모되는 현실적 모티브 변용 세째, 사물이 주는 시각적 인상을 그대로 받아 들이는 것이 아니고 주관적 표현의지에 따라 크기가 변형되는 심리적 원근법이다. 그러므로 본 연구의 결과는 현실적 사물이 연상작용을 통해 복합적 표정을 갖는 중층화된 이미지로 지각되었다. 그리고 주관적 표현의지에 따른 사물의 크기 변형은 현실적 사물에 대한 이미지를 변화시켜 심리적 충격을 주었으며 또한 서로 융합할 수 없는 요소들이 본래의 의미를 잃고 한 공간에서 조화와 화합을 통해 시적이미지로 드러났다.;Human beings, who trust themselves to the inclination in spite of knowing their destruction, have strong desire for change. This desire of human beings expands the reality and reaches the God's world, dream world. That makes invisible things like mistery, fantasy, dream, visible, translates life nowly, and makes our life rich and prosperous. This study focused on presemting the poetic fantasy of the image of materials reading the dept of mystery from usual materials, and dreaming in realistic space lack of emotion. The purpose of this study lies in fantastic expression through visual association effect of realistic material by Metamorphose. As the ideological background, I examined the base and various phases of fantasy, the meaning of Metamorphose, and the various aspects shown in paintings and sculptures. I also presented ways following the expression of each work, and explained seven works which were produced subjectively based on the contents and the way. I choose book study and production as a basic method. This study presented a new vision about materials by changing materials into poetic image through visual association with the motive of usual experienced materials, and expressed the poetic fantacy by reflecting the infinit potential of different images of materials on the works. The characteristics of Metamorphose, which is used to express fantasy, are firstly, double image which has the concurrence of two images in one space, secondly, the realistic transformation of motive which makes familiar objects change, thirdly, psycholigical perspective, which dosen’t accept the visual image of objects, but transform the size by subjective expression. The result of the study is as follows. Realistic objects are perceived as a double image which has complex expressions through associating action, gives us psychological shock by transforming the size of objects by subjective expression, and infusible factors lose their original meaning and expose private images thourgh harmony and combination.
