'원형(原型)'에 의한 표현적 이미지 연구

Abstract

본인의 논문은 칼 융 (C.G.Jung)의 심리학적 입장과 의식과 무의식이라는 논제에서 출발하고 있다. 이 이론을 종합해 볼 때 인간의 내면심리 상황은 모든 활동의 근원이라 할 수 있겠다. 그러므로 예술은 인간의 한 정신적 활동이고 인간의 경험을 토대로 이루어 지는 것이며 그 근원 역시 인간 정신구조 어디엔가 자리잡고 있는 것이다. 인간 정신에는 이러한 세계를 지각하는 의식의 영역만이 있는것이 아니라 그것을 근본에서 구축해주고 원동력이 되는 무의식의 영역이 있다. 예술창조는 이러한 세계가 형식에 의해 더욱 구체적이고 개별화된 형태로 표출된 현상으로서의 자기 표현이다. 예술작품이 기술이 아닌 정서 (情緖) 의 표현이라고 한다면, 예술가는 마음의 동요나 감흥과 같은 심리적 과정은 느낄 수 있으나 그 구체적 성질을 알 수 없는, 표현이라고 부르는 어떤것을 표출하게 되는 것이다. 이렇듯 우리가 예술 작품을 표현한다는 사실은 '내적 필연'에 의해 나타나는 무의식의 표출이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 본인이 느끼고 체험하는 동안 만난, 그리고 선재적 (先在的) 인 근원인 '원형 (原型 ; Archetype)' 에 의한 수많은 내용들이 잠재적으로 작용하는 무의식의 세계를 표현하고자 하였다. 본 논문은 크게 내용적 측면과 방법적 측면으로 나뉘는데, 먼저 내용적 측면에 있어서 무의식 세계에 대한 접근을 C.G.융의 학설을 중심으로 의식과 무의식 에 대해 살펴보고, 창작에 관여하는 무의식에 대하여 연구하였다. 다음으로 본 연구의 작품제작에 있어서, 무의식의 자유로운 표현을 추구한 예로 작가들을 살펴 봄으로써 본인의 작품 이해를 돕고자 하였다. 이에, 작가의 내면세계와 행위 자체를 함께 화면에 객관화시킨 추상 표현주의 작가를 폴록(Jackson Pollock)을 중심으로 잠재적 무의식에 의한 자기표현의 과정을 살펴 보았으며, 또한 누보 레알리즘의 벽보파를 통하여 "주관적인 찢는 행위"를 포함한 신문지, 잡지, 포스터등을 화면에 붙여 구성하는 기법상의 정당성을 고찰하였다. 이는 방법적인 면에 있어서 본인 작품의 기본이 된다. 또한 신문지, 잡지, 포스터등의 다양한 기능을 가진 종이이면서도 예술의 매재로서만이 아닌 자체적으로 예술표현의 가능성을 갖고 있음을 알아보았다. 위의 내용을 토대로 본인의 작품을 제시, 분석해 봄으로서 데콜라주(De´collage)와 판화를 이용한 반복적 행위를 통해 창작의 과정에서 발생하는 형상들을 흡수시키고, 기법의 변화의 가능성을 모색하면서 본인의 새로운 회화관을 성립해 나가고자 하는 것이다.;Man's inner psychological condition is the source of all the activities. Therefore, art is a part of human being's mental activities and it comes from the experience. its origin is somewhere in the man's mind. In human mind, there is not only perceptional area but also subconscious ness which builds up and generates consciousness. An artistic creation is an artist's self- expression as a revealed phenomenon more concretely individualized by forms. As we say that a work of art is not a technique but an expression of emotion , an artist presents something that we can feel but can't find out itsnature like psychological agitation or but can't find out its nature like psychological agition or excitement. Lake this , expressing through a work of art is revealing somthing subconscious through intrinsic necessity. The purpose of this study is to express the world of subconsciousness in which infinite substances potentially act on each other on the basis of archetype, the prior origin the author of this study met through experience. So the world of consciousness and subconsciousness was investigated mainly around the theory of subconsciousness by C.G. Jung , and next subconscious area related to creation was looked at. In the actual a creation of a work , the author examined artistic currents pursued free expression of subconsciousness to help understanding of her work.. In this regard , abstract expressionalism which objectified artists' inner world on canvas together with behavior itself was investigated mainly around Jackson Pollock and the technical justice of composing a picture through attaching newspaper , magazine or poster and tearing subjectively was examined mainly around nouveau-realistic affichisties. All of these consist the methodological foundation of the author's work. The paper as a material of art has many function and it is not merely a medium of art but has a possibility of expressing for itself. Based on the above elements the author tried to absorbe images , which occur in the process of creation , through repetive behavior of using De'collage and woodcut print to establish a new view of pictures.
