日常的 삶의 表現으로서 人物畵 硏究

Abstract

예술가의 창작활동은 그 시대의 생활문화와 사상을 반영한다. 예술은 사물을 재생하거나 형식을 조성하여 경험을 표현하는 의도적인 인간의 활동이므로 삶과 예술은 분리될 수 없는 유기적인 관계에 있다(1)). 그러한 예술은 여러 양상으로 대중에게 의미를 전달한다. 본인은 그 중 현대인의 삶의 양식을 현대적 미감에 맞게 표현하여 대중과의 공감대를 형성한다는 의미로서의 예술을 택하여 본 논문의 입장을 제시하였다. 과거에는 시대적으로 소재 선택에 있어 제한적 한계가 있었으나 지금에 와서는 문명의 발달로 인한 소재 선택에서부터 표현에까지 매우 다양해졌다. 또한 작가는 현실 속에 산재해 있는 많은 사물들로부터 어떤 의미를 발견하여 소재를 선택하게 된다. 본인은 일상생활에서 익숙해진 심상을 바탕으로 가장 쉽게 접할 수 있으며 삶의 체험과 밀착된 인물을 선택하여 평범한 일상생활을 묘사하면서 반면 그대로 복사하는 재현이 아니라, 소재와 표현의 관념적 굴레를 탈피하여 주관에 의해 재창출되는 작품을 제작하고자 하였다. 인물표현에 있어 그 형사에 치우치지 않고 대상의 내면적 심상표현에 주력하였으며 특히 수묵을 통하여 먹이 갖고 있는 의미에 중점을 두었다. 이러한 소재 선택에 있어서 변화와 그 의미 그리고 무한히 추구될 수 있는 가능성을 인간의 심상표현에서 찾고자 했으며 이러한 현대적 표현을 위해 수묵의 특성을 살펴 보았다. 이것을 토대로 본인 작품에 대한 새로운 방향과 현대미술이 대중과 함께 나아갈 새로운 방법을 모색하고자 하는 것이 본인의 입장이다. 본 연구에서는 본인의 작품을 분석하여 어떠한 자세로 대상에 임하였으며 어떻게 대상을 표현하였는가를 검토, 분석함으로써 보완할 점을 파악하여 앞으로의 작업에 도움이 되고자 하였다.;Artists ' creative activities reflect the living culture and thoughts of the time. If we define art as "human being's intentional activities to reproduce objects or formalize shapes to express his or her experiences", life and art must be insepaable or correlated in organistic ways with each other. Such an art conveys some implications to the people in various ways. With this basic conception in mind, this study was aimed at re-illuminating the art in the light that art is designed to express modern men's modus vivendi with modern aesthetics and thereby serve to form a common belt of sympathy for people. In the past, the selection of sources was limited depending on the historical conditions, but today not only the selection of sources but also the expressions have become very diverse owing to the development. of civilization. Meanwhile, artists endeavor to find some meaning from the numerous objects dispersed in the real world and thereupon, select a source for their art. For this study, such figures as cross-encounter us in our every day life and thus are familar to us and closely connected with our experience of life were selected as source for the production of portraits. However, the figures were not simply reproduced but re-created using a subjective view of art. In short, it was attempted that the conceptual bond of source and expression would be sublated. On the other hand, the emphasis was put on the inside heart of the objects, not the expression forms. In particular, the meaning of the Indian ink was emphasized. In other words, the changes and meaning in the selection of sources as well as the unlimited possibility were searched in the expression of human hearts, while the characteristics of the ink painting were researched into for their modem expressions. Based on such a basic framework, it was attempted to explore not only a new direction for researcher's works but a new method whereby the modem art can proceed with the peoples also. Lastly, researcher's works were analyzed to review how they had been created in what attitude to express the objects and thereby get some useful insights for future works.
