색동을 응용한 복식디자인 연구

Abstract

색동은 복식디자인 분야에서 한국패션 시장이 세계화됨에 따라 한국적 이미지를 알리기 위한 디자인으로 자주 사용되어 왔으며, 최근에 색동에 대한 변형이 시도되고 있는데 현대패션으로 재창조하기위해서는 먼저 색동을 체계적으로 분석, 파악하고 이를 현대화하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 색동과 관련된 문헌자료와 실물자료를 중심으로 색동을 고찰하여 음양오행설에 부합된 색배열을 바탕으로 색동의 조형적 특징을 응용하여 전통적 모티브를 현대복식에 접목시키는 동시에 다양한 디자인 개발의 가능성을 제시하는데 있다. 본 연구의 내용은 이론적 배경으로서 색동의 역사적 고찰과 색동과 음양오행설, 색동의 미적인 특성과 조형적 특징을 고찰하고, 색동을 응용한 복식 사례를 살펴본 후 음양오행설에 부합되는 색배열을 바탕으로 전통색동색상의 색조변화와 구성상 특징을 응용하여 작품을 제작하였다. 본 연구의 방법은 이론적 배경으로서 문헌자료와 실물자료를 중심으로 정리, 분석하였고, 색동을 응용한 복식 사례를 조사하기 위해서는 잡지의 사진을 중심으로 고찰한 후 이를 토대로 작품을 제작하였다. 본 연구의 작품제작은 실용성에 목적을 두고 색동을 응용하였다. 작품제작방법은 음양오행설에 부합되는 색배열을 바탕으로하여 전통색동색상의 색조변화와 색동의 구성상 특징을 응용해 색간격의 변화와 색주기의 반복을 시도하고 패치워크 기법을 통하여 실물 8점을 제작하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 색동은 아무렇게나 색을 이어 배열한 것이 아니라 음양오행설의 원리에 입각하여 배열한 것으로 색동의 본질을 규명한 후에 디자인으로 접근하는 체계적인 방법을 제시하였으며, 이는 색동을 응용한 디자인 창조작업의 기반이 되었다. 둘째, 색동을 현대의상에 도입하는데 융합되지 않는 감각의 우려가 있지만 색상의 색조변화와 색간격의 조절을 통해 현대복식에 부합될 수 있다는 가능성을 확인하였다. 세째, 색간격의 다양한 변화를 통해서, 색너비를 다양하게 조절해 독특한 감각을 연출하고 동시에 다양한 디자인 개발의 가능성이 확인되었다. 이상의 결과로 현대복식 디자인에 있어서 색동의 도입은 국제무대에서 주체성을 잃지않는 고유미를 가질 수 있게 한다. 그러나 색동의 현대화는 그 표현에 있어서 많은 어려움이 있는 것이므로 학제간의 다각적인 접근을 통하여 우리 것에 대한 공통적 요소를 이끌어 내어 현대화시키는 방향으로 나아가야 할 것이다.;The Saekdong has often been used to design material to show the image of Korea corresponding the trend, and globalization of the Korean fashion market in modern fashion design field. Recently there are trials transformation of the Saekdong in fashion design field, but in my view there needs to be systematical approaches and knowledges of the Saekdong to modernized it. The purpose of this study is contemplating the Saekdong from the Saekdong-related documentary and real materials, applied its formative characteristics based on color array corresponding 'the cosmic dual forces and the five elements' and then shows the possibility of design development variously as transplanting of its traditional motive to the modern fashion design. The contents of this study, as a theoretical background, considering the Saekdong's history, it's relation with 'the cosmic dual forces and the five elements', it's aesthetic and formative characteristics, and contemplated the cases of the Saekdong-applied fashion design. I then did my work using the color varying of the traditional he Saekdong's color basically from the color array corresponding 'the cosmic dual forces and the ave elements', and its organic character. The procedure of this study is arrangement and analyzing the documentary material and original sample theoretically, and for survey the cases of the Saekdong-applied fashion design, contemplated photos from the magazine mainly and did my work from them. The real work of this study focused on practical use by appling the Saekdong. I did make eight pieces of work with a patchwork method which tried to vary the color width, repeat the coloric order, apply the color varying and organic character of the Saekdong basically from the color array corresponding 'the cosmic dual forces and the five elements'. Followings show the consequence of this study. First, I approached to the Saekdong systematically after illuminating the core of the Saekdong which by no means isn't random array of the color but the array based on 'the cosmic dual forces and the five elements', and represented the systematic way to design it, and this became the basement of creative work of design by appling the Saekdong. Second, though it has concern to be discrepant, to introduce of the Saekdong to the modern fashion design, I confirmed the possibility of good to the modern fashion design by color varying and regulating of the color width. Third, it presents unique sensibility by diversifing the color interval and regulating the color width, and it shows possibility of various advance of fashion design. As a result of my research the introduction of the Saekdong may get unique beauty, which won't deprived our own identity, as a modern fashion design in the international stage. But in my opinion the modernization of the Saekdong has much difficulties when it is represented so should it be modernized by abstracting the common factors from our own things through diversified approaches of the academics.
