노년층 집합주거 환경의 지원성 강화를 위한 디자인 방법과 그 과정에 관한 연구

Abstract

도시화 ·산업화에 의한 개인주의적 가치관 및 핵가족화 현상은 노년층을 환경의 부적응적 집단으로 인식하게 하였으며, 노인들의 소외 문제를 발생시켰다. 또한, 노인 세대의 새로운 생활 방식에 적합한 주거 형태의 노년층 집합주거가 증가하고 있으며, 집합 주거의 합리적 계획에 치중하여 기능적 요구에만 편중되어 노인들의 고립을 가속화시키고 있다. 인간성 회복을 바탕으로 삶에 의미를 부여하는 환경 디자인은 사회적으로나 문화적으로 행동적 활동과 인공 환경(Built Environment)에서의 개인 또는 조직의 선호도에 책임감을 가지고 적응시키는 것이다. 또한, 환경 디자인은 결정론적인 것이 아니며, 인공 환경의 변수(Variable)를 조절하여 인간 행위와 미적 경험을 지원해 주는 것이므로, 연구자는 위와 같은 환경적 부적응의 해결과 현 생활 환경의 활성화를 위한 디자인 방법의 틀을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 노년층 집합주거의 상호 교류의 場으로서 공용 공간인 아트리움에 지원성을 강화하도록 디자인하고자 하며, 다음과 같은 방법과 과정으로 연구를 진행하였다. 첫째, 노인들의 이해를 돕기 위해 개념 및 특성을 살펴보았다. 둘째, 노년층 집합주거 환경의 현황을 관찰 분석하여 공용 공간의 중요성을 재입증하였다. 셋째, 디자인 제시를 위하여 환경 심리적, 행태학적, 환경 미학적 접근에 의한 디자인 방법론을 채택하였다. 넷째, 노인-환경의 상호 교류를 위한 지원성을 사고의 축으로 하고, 앞서 제시된 정보를 수용하는 공용 공간인 아트리움을 디자인 사례로써 제시하였다. 그리고, 디자인의 전 과정은 제시된 디자인 방법론을 기준으로 하며 다음과 같은 단계를 밟았다. ○ 디자인 개요 ○ 디자인 문제 해결 과정 및 공간 이미지의 창출 ○ 디자인 적용 단계 ○ 디자인의 시각화 이와 같은 합목적적 디자인 전개 과정은 문제 해결을 위한 방법적 틀을 제공하며, 궁극적으로 「인간을 위한」 디자인임을 재인식함으로써 바람직한 노인 환경을 디자인하는 것이다. 또한 미래 노인 생활 환경의 새로운 문화와 가치를 정립하기 위한 연구 방법의 필요성을 강조함에 연구의 의의를 둔다.;The Interior Environmental Design of supplying people with comfortable circumstances on the basis of of humanization apply individuality or group socially or culturally for movable activity and built environment. But the aged are considered that they are unable to adopt modem social life under the environment of individual sense of value and organization of devided family, therefore the estrangement of the aged is being increased in our community. As a result, the community suitable for the aged is developed in these days. They emphasize only any consideration of the aged so that the aged become isolated in our community. The Interior Environmental Design is not deterministic, but its designer adjusts the variable of artificial environment in order to favor people with behaviour and aesthetic experience. I'd like to suggest how to make human to adopt modern environment and concept of design so as to develop living environment. This is a study of the design method on the ATRIUM of elderly community for developing Affordance, and is performed with the following method and procedure. 1. For better understanding of the aged, concepts and characteristics of the aged are considered. 2. The elderly community is reflected and analyzed. 3. The design methodology by means of environment psychology, behavioral science and environment aesthetic approaches is applied so as to provide design. 4. The affordance for the mutual relationship between the aged and environment is considered as a core of this research. The ATRIUM adopting the previous mentioned informations is provided as a example of design. This design is proceeded on the basis of the above design methodology, as follows; ○ The abstract of design ○ The procedure to solve the problem about design and the creation of space image ○ The step of applying newly-developed design ○ The visualization of design The multi-purpose design favor us with the method to solve the problem and this study provides us with recognition that the ultimate object is to design for human, especially for the aged. Eventually, the purpose of this treatise is to emphasize on the necessity of research method in order to create the new culture and value concerning the aged's living environment in the future.
