지하철공간 디자인에 있어서 이용자 중심 접근 방법에 관한 연구

Abstract

지하철은 단기간내에 많은 사람들을 이동시킬 수 있다는 특성과 지하공간의 적극적 활용이라는 이점 때문에 대도시내의 교통수단으로서 일차적기능 이상의 중요성을 갖게 되었다. 그러나 인위적인 공간에서 올 수 있는 구조적 획일성과, 지하라는 심리적 폐쇄감의 잠재의식에서 올 수 있는 압박감이 유발되기 쉬운 문제점을 갖고 있으며, 시설의 부족과 보행체계의 미비등으로 인하여 시민의 요구를 만족시키지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 그러므로 도시인에게 쾌적감을 주는 공간으로서 기능적, 미적 체계구성의 필요성이 대두되게 되었다. 생활 공간의 쾌적성 추구는 인간 모두의 바램이다. 그리고 환경의 이용자들이 쾌적하게 느끼는 공간을 조성하는 것이 환경 디자인의 근본적인 목표이다. 행위 주체인 유기체적 인간의 행태속성을 보다 본질에 가깝게 이해하며 합리적인 이용자 중심 디자인 접근 방법을 적용할 때 개체와 집단을 위해 최선의 환경을 제공해 줄 것이고 사람들에게 미래의 가치 있는 방향으로 그들의 사고와 행동을 관리, 조절할 수 있게 할 것이다. 본 연구는 지하철 공간의 환경에 대한 가치를 인식하여 관련된 디자인 이론을 연구, 검토하여 봄으로서 도시 속에 새로운 공간으로 부각될 지하철 공간이 지녀야 할 특질을 살펴보고 도시환경시설의 질적 향상을 꾀하도록 하는데 그 의의를 두고 있다. 또한 본 연구는 지하철 공간의 물리적 구성과 제공된 지원성을 분석하고 환경과 인간 행태의 본질에 대한 기본적인 이해를 통해 보다 발전적인 지하철 공간과 행태의 관계를 조명해줄 수 있는 틀을 정립함으로서 이를 통해 바람직한 지하철 공간 디자인 접근 방법을 연구하였으며, 행태패턴과 환경은 서로 맞물려서 존재되어야 한다는 사실을 입증하고자 하였다. 본 연구는 다음과 같은 방법과 과정으로 연구를 진행하였다. 1. 지하철 공간의 기능 및 사회적 필요성을 살펴보았다. - 이로써 지하철 공간이 도시의 공간을 확대시키는 새로운 생활공간으로써 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있다는 것을 밝혀 연구의 대상 선정에 대한 타당성을 제시하였다. 2. 디자인에 앞서 전제되어야 하는 지하철 공간의 특성 및 제 조건과 현황을 관찰, 분석하고 진단에 따른 문제점을 도출하여 행태의 패턴에 따른 공간의 지원 범위들을 파악하였다. - 이로써 그 개선과 그에 대한 발전적 대안 제시가 현실적으로 요구됨을 살펴보았다. 3. 환경심리·인간형태의 이론을 고찰하면서 본 연구의 목적 및 디자인의 방향에 대한 배경을 기술하였다. - 환경심리의 과정 즉, 환경적 자극을 지각·인지하고 태도를 형성하는 과정을 살펴보았다. 4. 조사된 기준 문헌 및 자료와 이론적 배경을 토대로 하여 합리적인 디자인 과정에 따라 지하철 공간 디자인을 제안하였다. 단, 디자인 과정 및 제안을 함에 있어 지하철 공간에 대한 시공적 측면은 배제하였으며, 단지 이용자의 쾌적감과 만족감을 높이는 환경구조물의 시각화를 꾀하는데 중심을 두었음을 전제한다. - 디자인 개념 정의와 디자인 문제 해결을 위한 전제 조건 분석 - 환경걱 요구도 파악에 따른 디자인 문제의 이해 - 분석에 따른 디자인 문제 해결의 기본 방향 제시 · 공간 인지가 쉽게 이뤄지도록 전체적으로 지각될 수 있는 공간 자체의 변화 · 다양한 시각적 흥미를 줄 수 있는 공간 창출로 이동의 지루함과 지하라는 심리적 불안감을 완화 - 디자인 문제 해결 과정 [Concepts Sketch → Zoning 및 동선도 → Image Sketch → 이미지 도출을 위한 Concepts Model → Image Sketch → Image Perspective Study Model → 해결안의 시각화 (Plan → Model → Perspective)] 5. 최종안에 대한 종합 및 평가를 실시하여 본 연구 과정의 적합성과 타당성을 검토하였다. 이상의 절차에 의한 방법론의 연구를 통하여 지하철 공간 계획에 있어 이용자 중심의 디자인 접근방법이 인간자신에게 촛점을 맞추고 있음과 이것이 기존의 많은 환경 디자인론 보다 가장 적극적 문제해결이 될 수 있음을 밝히고자 하였다. 그리고 이용자의 인간 본질적 측면인 인간행태, 환경심리적 요인을 고려하여 기본적인 욕구를 충족시켜준다는 입장을 취함으로서 환경디자인에 있어서 합리적이며, 궁극적으로는 인간을 휘한 긍정적인 방향의 변화를 형성하고 학문적 체계화를 도모하는데 연구의 의의가 있다.;Importance of subway-space has positioned over the first function, namely a means of transportation in a large city, as it can transport the large people in a short time and also has advantage that is a positive application of underground space. But the subway has problems which artificial spaces can bring about the structural uniformity and simplicity and cause the subconscious pressure. And then, insufficiency of equipment and defective system of walking can't satisfy needs of citizens. So it is gathered strength necessities of systematical structure of functional, esthetic that all citizens feel comfortable. All human beings pursue the pleasantness of living space. And the ultimate goal of environmental design is to make a agreeable space for user. Fortunately, in approaching from a recent city-environmental design, it is inclined to user-oriented approach which is concentrated to human-natural needs and values. So as we recognize more essentially human behavior that is the subject of behavior, and use the approach method user-oriented, we also can provide the best environment for indivisuals and a mass. And then people will make their thoughts & behavior manage and regulate in worthy direction, This thesis analized the physical sturcture and affordance of subway space, And hoped to illuminate the relationship which explains space and behavior of subway in development. With this, this study approached the method of valuable subways' space design and intended to prove the fact that the behavior pattern and environment must be coexist by means of understanding to the nature of environment and behavior. The following methods and processes were done. 1. The function and social necessity of subway space were studied with this study, it suggests the validity of selecting object of study clalifing that subway space have a position the new-life stage to expand city space. 2. With obserbing and analizing the characters, conditions and situations that are p- remised to design, and grasping the problems according to a diagnosis, this study catched hold of supporting areas with behavior's pattern. 3. Considering the theory of environmental psychology and human behavior, it is described to the goal of this study and direction of designing. *The process of environmental psychology, namely, percepting and recognizing of st- imulations and forming attitudes, is considered. 4. In base of the investigated documents, datum and theoritical background, through rational processing, the design of subway-space was suggested. But the view to construction was eliminated, and it was focused on visualizing the environmental structures which increase satisfaction and pleasantness for user. *The definition of design concept and analysis of a precondition for solving design problems. *Understanding of design problem in accordance with environmental needs. *The suggestion of primary direction for solving design problems through analysis. ·The variations of space itself in behalf of perception of space easily. ·To relieve the tedium of moving and psychological anxiety through various visible interests, *The process of solving design problems. [Concept sketch → Zoning & the mapping the moving line → Image sketch → Concepts model for making a image → Image sketch → Image Perspective → Study model → Visualize the plan. (Plan→Model→Perspective)] 5. This study examined the agreement and validity of design process with synthesizing and evaluating of the final plan. Through the study of method according to prementioned process, in planning of planning of subway-space, it is proved that the User-Oriented design approach is focused on human himself and this is the more active solution than any other existing environmental design method. And according to stand a posetion that the basic needs should be satisfied in consideration of human behavior and environmental-psychological elements of subway's user, this study makes a significance that environmental design produces the rational and ultimate goal for human being to the positive directions and changes, and builds up the system of environmental science.
