제6차 고등학교 교육 과정에 따른 바람직한 가정과 교과서 개발을 위한 내용 구성 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 제6차 고등학교 교육 과정에 맞추어 가정과 교과서의 일부 내용을 실제로 구성한 것으로, 가정과 교육의 성격과 목표를 실현시키기에 적합한 다양한 구성 형식과 내용 선정을 시도해 봄으로써, 바람직한 가정과 교과서의 개발을 목적으로 한 기초 연구이다. 제6차 고등학교 가정과 교육 과정 개정은 사회 상황 및 가정 생활의 변화에 대응하고 가정과 교육 현실의 문제점을 개선하여 가정과 교육의 유용성과 효율성을 높이는 데 목표를 두고 추진되고 있는데, 교육 현실의 문제점 중 특히 수업 현장의 질을 좌우하는 교과서의 개선은 가장 시급하게 해결되어야 할 문제이다. 교과서 개선의 문제는 각계의 협력적인 연구의 결실로 이루어져야 하겠지만, 현장 교사들의 실제적인 경험을 토대로 한 기초적 연구가 장기간에 걸쳐 축적되는 것도 요구되고 있다. 본 논문은 제6차 고등학교 가정과 교육 과정의 분석 결과와 바람직한 교과서의 모습과 조건에 대한 선행 연구의 고찰 내용을 이론적 기초로 삼아, 교과서 내용 구성의 주안점을 다음과 같이 개발하였다. 첫째, 가정과 교육의 성격과 목표가 명확히 부각되는 내용 구성 둘째, 흥미를 가지고 학습할 수 있는 내용 구성 셋째, 지식의 습득보다는 사고력 배양에 초점을 맞춘 실천적인 내용 구성 넷째, 중학교 교육 내용과의 차별성과 연계성이 고려된 내용 구성 다섯째, 남녀 학생 모두를 대상으로 성의 균형이 잡힌 내용 구성 여섯째, 학생들의 수준과 요구에 맞는 성교육이 강화된 내용 구성 일곱째, 대중 매체가 주는 정보와의 차별화를 고려한 내용 구성 여덟째, 학습 내용의 성격에 따른 다양한 전개 방식을 채택한 내용 구성 본 논문의 구체적 연구 대상 내용은 고등학교 가정과 교육 과정 내용 체계상의 '인간 발달과 가족 관계' 영역 중 '아동 발달과 부모 역할'의 하위 내용인 <부모됨의 의미>, <임신과 출산>, <모자 건강>이다. 교과서 내용 구성의 실제에서는 연구 대상 내용의 궁극적인 학습 목표가 학생들에게 정확히 인식될 수 있도록 하기 위해 '부모가 되기 위한 준비'로 대단원명을 정하였다. 소단원은 본 연구의 주안점에 맞추어 부모됨이 선택되는 이유와 부모 역할을 다룬 '부모됨의 의미', 성에 관련된 지식과 가족 계획, 임신, 피임을 다룬 '부모가 되는 시작 과정', 태아의 발육 과정과 태교, 출산을 다룬 '건강한 태아'로 내용을 재구성하였다.;This study was to develop curriculum content of high school home economics as a form of textbook according to the Sixth Curriculum Revision. The purpose of study was to carry out basic research for upcoming of desirable home economics textbook by employing various forms and selecting curriculum contents appropriate to achieve the goal of home economics education. The Sixth Home Economics Curriculum Revision sets the goal which hopes to enabling students to act rationally under certain conditions of society, home, and family life. The most urgent educational problem here is to improve the quality of textbook which has great influences on teaching in classroom. Although this problem can be solved through collective efforts of researchers in various settings, teachers' active participation in basic research over periods of times based on their classroom experiences is mostly needed. The specific content of this study was about subunits of "Child Development and Role of Parent" in the unit of "Human Development and Family Relationship". The theoretical framework used for this study was developed through the analysis of the Sixth Home Economics Curriculum Revision, literature review on the quality of textbook, and the nature of home economics education. Based on the theoretical framework, the author used followings as standards for developing curriculum content. 1. The characteristics and goals of home economics should be represented clearly. 2. The textbook should provide interest and motive to students. 3. It consists of practical content s emphasizing on development of thinking ability rather than mere know ledge aquirement. 4. The distiction and continuity with the middle school curriculum content should be considered. 5. The unbiased sex education should be included for both male and female students. 6. The sex education should be strengthened to fit for the developemental level and demands of students. 7. The content should b e differenciated from information given by mass media. 8. It should employ various way of content developing methods in accordance with nature the contents. The contents of textbook developed for this study include "Meaning of Being Parent", "Pregnancy and Giving Birth" and "Mother and Baby's Health". The title of unit and subunit developed for this study was revised by the author. Under the unit title of "The Preparation for Being Parent", following subunits were developed : (1) "The Meaning of Being Parent" dealt with motives of choice for being parent and role of parent, (2) "The Process of Becoming Parent" dealt with know ledge about sex, family planning, pregnancy, and contraception, and (3) "Healthy Unborn Child" dealt with development process of fetus, prenatal care, and delivery.
