가정의 심리적 환경과 여고생의 자아존중감 간의 상관관계

Abstract

This study aims at examing the relationship between Psychological home environment and Self-Esteem of High School Girls. For that, it was to clarify the relationship between Psychological home environment and Self-Esteem of high school girls depending on department, and seeked to the relationship among related variables. The subjects were second grade 463 girls(the academic high school : 226 girls, the commercial high school : 237 girls). As the measurement instruments were used the home environment diagnostic examination by Wom-Sik Jung and the Self-Esteem Questionnaire by Rosenberg. The analysis methods of the data applied were t-test, pearson correlation coefficients and Z-test. The results of the study are as follows. 1. The group of the students in the academic high school showed higher scores in thier psycholgical home environment than that of the students in the commercial high school(p<.05). With respect to material intention out of subvariable of home environment, the group of the commercial high school showed higher scores than that of the academic group(p<.001). And mutural attitude(p<.05), condensing power(p<.001) were shown high scores in the academic high school than that of the commercial high school students. 2. With respect to self- esteem of the high school girls, the group of the students in the academic high school displayed higher level than that of the students in the commercial high school students(p<.0001). 3. It was revealed that there was significant correlation between psycholgical home environment of high school girls and their self-esteem in both the group of the students in the academic high school and the group of the commercial high school students(p<.001). Group character and psycholgical process out of subvariable of the home environment showes significant correlation. Especially, psycholgical proess displayed a higher level of correlation in the the commercial school girls than the academic school girls. Mutural attitude and condensing power are displayed significant correlation in both group (p<.001). Accomplishment power and opening degree were showed significant correlation in the academic high school students(p<.05), self-control and a love of family were showed significant correlation regardless of departments(p<.05, p<.001). Especially the more a love of family, the commercial high school girls displayed a higher level of correlation with self-esteem. 4. It was shown that there was not a significant difference depending on departments in the correlation between psychological home environment of high school girls and their self-esteem. Therefore psycholgical home environment affects to the high school girls' formation of self-esteem in both the group of the students in the academic high school and the group of the commercial students. And among the many factors that influence to self-esteem of high school girls', the significance of psychological home environment is very important. The subjects of this study were some student of the academic high school and the commercial high school in Seoul, so it would be unacceptable to generalize this results. In the study of self-esteem and psychological home environment according to departments, various departments must be taken into consideration including engineearing, ariculture.art.as well as commercial.;본 연구는 인문계와 상업계 여고생을 대상으로 가정의 심리적 환경과 자아존중감의 관계를 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 가정의 심리적 환경과 자아존중감의 계열간 점수 차이를 알아보고, 가정의 심리적 환경과 자아존중감에는 어떠한 관계가 있는지 살펴보았다. 연구의 대상은 인문계와 상업계의 여고 2학년생 463명(인문계:226명, 상업계:237명)이며, 정원식의 가정환경진단검사와 Rosenberg의 자아존중감 검사지를 사용하여 연구하였다. 자료의 분석은 가정의 심리적 환경과 자아존중감의 계열간 차이를 알아보기 위하여 t검증을 하였고, 가정의 심리적 환경과 자아존중감간의 상관관계를 알아보기 위하여 Pearson 단순상관계수를 이용하였으며, 가정의 심리적 환경과 자아존중감의 상관이 계열간에 차이를 보이는지 알아보기 위해 검정 통계량 Z를 구하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 가정의 심리적 환경 점수는 인문계 집단이 상업계 집단보다 높게 나타났다(p<.05). 하위 변인중 가치지향성의 경우는 상업계 집단에서 물질지향적인 가치를 더욱 강조하는 것으로 나타났고(p<.001), 집단성격에 있어서는 상호태도(p<.05)와 응결력(p<.005)에 있어서 인문계 집단이 더 높은 점수를 보였다. 2. 여고생의 자아존중감은 인문계 집단이 상업계 집단보다 높은것으로 나타났다(P<.0001). 3. 가정의 심리적 환경과 자아존중감에는 인문계·상업계 모두 상관관계를 보였다(P<.001). 가정의 심리적 환경 3개의 하위변인 중에서는 집단성격과 가정의 심리적 과정 변인에서만 자아존중감 간의 유의미한 상관을 보였으며, 특히 심리적 과정은 인문계에 비해 상업계와 더 높은 상관을 보였다. 집단성격의 경우는 상호태도와 응결력에 있어서 인문계와 상업계 모두 자아존중감과 상관을 갖는 것으로 나타났다(p<.001). 심리적 과정에서는 성취와 개방변인에서 인문계 집단의 자아존중감 간에 상관이 나타났고(p<.05), 계열에 따른 차이 없이 친애와 자율에 있어서 유의미한 상관관계를 보였는데(p<.05,p<.001), 특히 친애에 있어서 인문계보다 상업계 집단의 자아존중감과 더 높은 상관을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 4. 가정의 심리적 환경과 자아존중감의 상관에서 계열간에 유의미한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 따라서 가정의 심리적 환경은 인문계와 상업계 집단 모두에서 자아존중감의 형성에 영향을 주고있으며, 여고생의 자아존중감에 영향을 끼치는 다양한 요인들 중에서도 가정의 심리적 환경이 갖는 의미는 매우 크다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 서울시의 인문계와 상업계 학생중 일부만을 대상으로 했기 때문에 결과를 일반화시키기에는 한계를 가지며, 계열에 따른 가정의 심리적 환경과 자아존중감에 대한 연구에 있어서는 상업계 뿐만이 아니라 공업계나 농업계, 예술계 등 다양한 계열을 대상으로 하는 폭넓은 연구가 이루어져야 하겠다.
