형상 복제에 의한 이미지의 표현 연구

Abstract

현대, 이른바 Post-Moderism 시대의 한 시대의 여러 특징들 중 거론할 수 있는 것은 다원화의 경향이다. 수직적이던 사회구조가 수평적으로 변화되면서 진리나 미를 추구하는 고전적인 절대 가치가 붕괴되었다. 이상적인 절대 가치와 사회적인 수직구조의 붕괴는 주변에 대한 관심의 증대와 개개인에 대한 중요성이 강조되는 결과를 초래하였고, 다양성과 가변성 이 수용되면서 상대성을 인정하게 되었다. 사회구조의 변화는 문화와 상호 영향 관계 하에서 변형되었고 문화의 창조자이며 향유자였던 귀족이나 엘리트의 자리는 대중에게 내주게 되었다. 대중은 더 이상 문화를 소비하는 대상이 아니라 문화를 창조하고 이끌어 나가며 향유하는 대상이 되었다. 1960년대 Pop Art의 출현은 시대적 요구에 적절히 부응한 운동으로, 대중문화 자체를 주제로 삼고 대중적 이미지를 등장시킴과 동시 에 이를 표현하기 위해 다양한 대중매체를 적극적으로 사용하였다. 대중적 이미지나 대중적 매체는 역사 속에서는 터부시 되어 오던 것이 지만 다양성을 인정하고 수용하는 현대에는 그 기능이 연구대상으로 받아들여지고 있다. 형상의 부활은 포스트 모더니즘 시대 의 또 다른 특징이다. 형상이 도입되면서 종교·신화 ·역사 등 전통적인 주제가 다시 등장하게 되고, 이러한 주제는 직설적으로 표현되는 게 아니라 은유적 상징으로 나타나게 된다. 미술작품은 단순한 이미지의 시각적 표현이 아니라 하나의 의미 전달체로서 사용되어지고 있다. 기호학적인 해석이 이루어지는 것도 이와 때를 같이한다. 형상들은 하나의 기호로써 해석되어지기 시작하였고, 기호학적 해석이 미술에 적용되면서 작품은 완결된 전달체가 아니라 효과와 영향으로서 제시되고, 관람자의 생활과 사회적 영향 하에서 생성된 개개인의 특정성에 의해 제각기 다의적 해석이 가능하게 된다. 이러한 다의적 해석의 가능성 속에서 작품의 가장 기본적인 형상으로 사슬을 선택하고 있는 본인은 새로운 표현에 있어서 개방적인 태도를 가지며 다각적인 표현기법을 수용함과 동시에 작품에 내재되어 있는 작가의 가치관을 부각시켜 나가고자 한다. 본인의 작품 제작에 있어서 사슬은 의미의 상징체인 동시에 조형적인 요소이며, 사슬의 표현 형식에 따라 나타나는 의미의 변화 과정은 시각적인 다양성과 함께 주요한 연구 대상임을 밝히고자 한다. 이에 복제 미술로서 형상을 도입한 앤디 와흘(Andy Warhol, 1928∼1987)과 레이오 그라프 방식으로 왜곡된 형상을 만들어 낸 만 레이(Man Ray, 1890∼1977), 내면 세계를 추상적으로 표현한 잭슨 폴록(Jackson Pollock, 1912∼1956)을 참고 작가로 선정하여 본인의 작품 분석에 도움을 주고자 한다.;During the course of modern Art, Post-Modernism period can be explained most distinctively by the tendencies of pluralism. Hierarchy of social structure has shifted from a vertical structure to a horizontal one. The means of Classical art in its absolute value is to pursue such attributes to truth and Beauty. After the collapse of Classical era, things such as diversity and variety became important in terms of on setting the balance of relativity. Minority which included colored races and females has been under shadowed by tradition, is now becoming the center of interest in this time. The past culture was geared toward elitism and aristocratism but now it has changed for the masses of common people. In the 60's, Pop Art Artists considered the mass culture as their main subjects in art which brought out mass images and mass media was then used aggressively to express mass images, mass images and media were tabooed in the past. Its function however, became the topic of research in norchen because now we approve of Cliversity. The resurrection of forms in art is another trait of Post-Modernism. Since forms came into consideration again, traditional subjects such as religion, myths, and history came back to subject. Thee subjects however were not described in a direct was but in a way around or in a symbolic way. Art work did not only became a visual expression but it became a method of conveying various meanings. Semiotics comprehension appeared here the same time also. Forms started to be as linguistic works were not only a complete form of expression that transmits meanings but it is the influential and effective being as to be interpretated in various ways by individuals traits and under the circumstances of different life-styles and social influences. My goal of research and work is based on individual relationships and its diverse interpretations of life of a social animal, humans accomplish things by extending one's own involvement. It all stats from a family to a nation. One's social belonging can offer one's happiness under the condition, but on the other hand, it can also make one bound under the power of commitment. My art works which originated from theses they its, gives the viewer a chance to be aware of their situations by presenting transformed images of 'chain' which carries the meaning binding, thesis, I focus the meanings of chain by its method, mode and its meaning as a "copy art'' when compared with Andy Warhol's frame of Pop Art. Also, I compared and analyzed my sensual expression with Man Lay's Layograph. Finally, by analyzing and reconsidering my work step by step, I tried to find a direction for my future art works.
