꼴라쥬기법을 이용한 화면 구성

Abstract

현대미술에 있어서 꼴라쥬의 최초의 도입은 종합적 입체주의 시대로, 손으로만 그리던 전통적 방법을 벗어나 표현재료에 대변환을 가져오게된 계기가 되었으며, 또한 현대미술이 전진하는 방법속에서 적극적인 수용으로 새롭게 대두되고, 그에 대한 사고 또한 폭넓게 확장되고 있다. 이는 단순한 '붙인다'는 것에 대한 호기심이나, 현대미술의 발전을 위한 돌파구 이상의 의미를 갖는다. 근대회화에서 중요한 상황으로 항상 존재하였던 평면상의 질서의 문제는 꼴라쥬가 등장함으로써 크게 바뀌게 된 것이다. 평범하고 일상적인 체험이 꼴라쥬에 의해 충격적으로 돌연변이를 일으킴으로써 새로운 시각적 체험이 이루어진다. 대상과 시점이 대등하게 평행선을 달리던 궤도가 갑자기 충격을 받게 되는 이치와 같다. 급변적인 변화의 물결은 언제부터이며 당시의 상황은 어떠하였는가, 또한 그렇게 발생한 꼴라쥬의 발전과정과 그 영향이 얼만큼 현대회화에 변화를 가져왔으며, 현대회화가 꼴라쥬의 형식을 표현매체로 등장시킨 것을 연구하였다. 그리하여 본 연구를 통하여 표현의 방법으로서, 이미지 표현의 실체로서의 꼴라쥬가 본인의 작품에 많은 영향을 주었다고 생각하며, 앞으로 적극적인 꼴라쥬의 수용으로 더 많은 실험과 작품 분석을 통해 가치관을 정립하고 정진하는데 도움이 되고자 하였다.;In retrospective view, modern artists have long striven to expand and explore newer dimensions beyond that of traditional canvas. In their endeavor, many techniques were developed and employed to extrapolate their work from dimension of plane to dimension of space but none has had impact or following rivaling that of the Collage. In its most basic form, one can simply view Collage as a technique by which various materials are "adhered" to underlying canvas. But conceptually, Collage has served as an essential gateway for artists to break free from the "fundamentals" of the conventional art (namely the harmony of lines, patterns, and colors) and experiment with multidimensional art form. Since its inception, Collage, along with the movement of the modern art, has gone under many transformations. Many artists have exploited it to expressed complex abstract visions of the visible world, thus attempting to breach the gap that separates the parallel universe of matter and idea. In this thesis, I will deal with the history and overall impact of Collage on the modern art. It will focus specifically on the evolutionary forces that prompted the inception of Collage as well as how it is versatily used today as material, method, and medium of artistic expression. Lastly, I will reflect on how Collage has influenced the composition of my past creations to set foundations for future exploration of this technique.
