舞踊指導者의 指導類型과 集團凝集力과의 關係

Abstract

The cohesion of the dance troupe is as important as those of any other groups because cooperative group activities are a inescapably critical factor for group performance effectiveness in dance troupe. And leadership style is an important variable which determines group cohesion. So there have been many studies dealing with the relationship between the two variables. But that kind of research attempt is very scarse in the field of dance. The purpose of this study was 1) to identify the leadership style of Korean dance leaders, and on that basis, 2) to investigate the relationship between the leadership style and the group cohesion in professional Korean dance troupes. Specially, research problems posed to solve in this study was: ① What is the leadership style of Korean dance leaders that is perceived by members of the dance troupes? ② What relationship does the perceived leadership styles by the members have with the cohesion of the groups? A survey was carried out. The questionnaires were administered to 118 dancers in seven professional Korean dance troupes. The leadership style perceived by the members was identified according to the Black and Mouton's managerial grid. And the group cohesion was measured in terms of seven aspects by sports Cohesiveness Questionnaire(SCQ). The result of the survey indicated that the style of middle of the road is the pervasive leadership style of professional Korean dance leaders, and the level of group cohesion was generally high. It was also found that leadership style has a positive relationship with the group cohesion even though the statistical significance was, in part, low. The results, in total, suggested the possibility that leader's leadership style is an important determinant of the degree of group cohesion, thus influencing, possibly, group performance.;무용집단에서의 응집력은 무용이라는 집단활동의 필연성 때문에 다른 조직의 응집력처럼 중요한 것이다. 이러한 무용집단 내의 응집력에 지도자 행동이란 중요한 변인으로 작용하게 되고 두 변인간의 관계에 대한 연구는 효과적인 집단무용 수행을 위해 계속적으로 이루어져 왔다. 이 연구는 우리나라 직업무용단 지도자의 지도유형과 집단 응집성과의 관계를 구명하기 위하여 다음과 같은 문제를 제시하였다. ① 직업무용단의 단원들이 지각하는 무용지도자의 지도유형은 어떠한가? ② 파악된 무용지도자의 지도유형과 직업무용단의 응집력과의 관계는 어떠한가? 이러한 문제를 알아내기 위하여 본 연구에서는 서울, 경기, 충남, 부산 등에 소재하고 있는 직업한국무용단체 7곳의 단원 118명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. 지도자의 지도유형을 관리 격자도(Blake & Mouton, 1964)의 5가지 유형으로 구분하여 단원들이 지각하는 각 단체의 지도자 유형을 조사하였고, 스포츠 응집력 질문지(SCQ: MArtens, Landers &Loy, 1972)를 직업무용단에 맞게 재편성하여 각 단체 단원들의 응집력을 7가지 구성요소별로 작성하여 조사하였다. 조사결과 각 단체의 지도자 유형은 5가지 지도유형중 모두 중도형으로 나와 우리나라 직업한국무용단의 실질적인 무용지도자의 유형이 파악되었다. 단원들의 응집력은 9점척도를 사용하여 측정해본 결과 비교적 높은 수준인 것으로 측정되었다. 지도유형과 응집력과의 관계조사에 있어서 지도유형의 과업지향 특성과 성원지향 특성의 결과 수치를 응집력의 7가지 구성요소별 결과수치의 각각에 증다회귀 분석한 결과 응집력에 영향을 주는 많은 변인들 중에서 지도유형은 14.5%에 해당하는 유의한 수준의 관계를 보였다. 이러한 결과를 종합하여 보면, 본 연구는 우리나라 직업한국무용단의 집단응집력은 실질적 무용지도자의 지도유형과 관계가 있다는 것을 지지해 준다.
