반성적 자아표현을 위한 섬유조형연구

Abstract

현대는 사회, 경제, 문화 등 모든 체계가 전문화 되어있고, 다양하고 복잡한 세계의 흐름을 따라 빠르게 변화, 발전되어가고 있다. 이러한 고도화된 사회에서 현대인들은 그 무엇으로도 채워지지 않는 무력감과 불안감으로 인하여 자아를 상실하고 있다. 보다 전통적 환경에 의해 제공되었던 심리적 지주와 안정감이 결여된 세계에서 현대인들은 자아 성찰을 통해 획득해야할 정체성을 위협받고 불안에 빠지게 된 것이다. 현대에 살고 있는 본 연구자는 자신의 위치에 대한 정착된 안정감을 찾지 못하고, 또한 사회에 자신의 의사를 반영하지 못한 채 변화에 순응하면서 살아가고 있다. 그리고 현대의 혼란스럽고 복잡한 사회 속에서 심리적인 불안감과 불평, 안도감 등 여러 생각들이 정리되지 않은 채 부유하고 있다. 이러한 상태에서 본 연구자는 자신 이외의 그 어떤 것에도 관심을 가질 여유가 없었고, ‘내가 왜 이 자리에 있는가?’, ‘내가 현재 미술을 통해 무엇을 하고 있는가?’, ‘결국 나는 누구인가?’와 같은 자신에 대한 질문들을 계속하게 되었다. 이러한 질문들은 점점 더 커져 갔고, 그 질문에 대한 대답을 명쾌하게 얻어내지 못하는 애매모호한 상태에 있었다. 본 연구자는 이러한 본인 자신에 대한 질문의 답을 얻고자 하는 목표와 함께 자아 정체성을 찾아가는 불확정적인 상황과 그 과정을 조형작품을 통해서 표현해 보고자 한다. 본 연구에서는 다양하고 복잡한 현대사회 속에서 자아 정체성 위기를 직시한 본 연구자를 마르샤(Marcia.)의 아이덴티티에 따라서 자아 정체성 상태를 살펴보고, 자아 정체성의 의미와 자아 정체성 확립이 왜 필요한지 그 중요성에 대해 문헌을 통해 고찰한다. 그리고 자아 정체성을 형성하는 방법으로서의 듀이(Dewey, John.)의 반성적 사고를 살펴본다. 자아 정체성을 형성하기 위해서 ‘반성적 사고의 조형 작업’을 통해서 자기 고백적 상황을 유도하고, 그로 인해 섬유 조형 활동이 자아 정체성을 형성하는 데에 효과적인 방법임을 입증하고자 한다. 또한 본 연구자가 현대 사회에서 느끼는 사회적 심리와, 동시에 자아 정체성 위기에 따른 애매모호한 상태를 뜻하는 ‘불확정성’의 개념에 대해 고찰하고, 그 개념이 본 연구자 작품의 내용·형식면에서 포괄적으로 표현되기를 유도한다. 그리고 작품의 전체적 이미지는 원 형태들의 집단화로 표현된다. 집단화 된 화면의 요소인 원의 상징적 의미를 살펴봄으로써 자아를 형성시키는 과정을 조형 표현으로 언어화, 의미화 시켜보고자 한다. 이와 같은 자아의 주관적이며 내면적인 심리상태를 객관적인 조형 형태로 전환시키는 섬유 조형 표현을 통해 본 연구자 자신에 대한 자아 정체성 형성의 실질적이며 구체적인 접근을 시도해 보고자 한다. 본 연구자의 작품 8점은 상황마다 달라지는 얼굴표정 이미지로 자신의 고백적인 내면심리를 표현하고 있으며, 각각의 얼굴 이미지는 성숙해가는 허물을 의미하기도 한다. 얼굴의 표정과 변화는 자신의 내적 심리상황을 가장 간결하며 정확하게 전달하는 수단이라 여겼다. 이와 같이 자아의 내적접근 양상을 불확정적인 표현을 통해 조형언어 방법으로 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구는 내면적 자아성찰의 상황과 과정을 불확정성의 개념과 함께 섬유예술의 조형 활동을 통해 나타내고자 하였고, 이러한 연구과정을 통해 자아정체성 형성에 스스로 도움을 얻고자 하였다. 또한 본 연구를 통해 앞으로 더욱 효과적인 방법의 자아 내면심리를 표현할 수 있는 길을 모색하고자 하였다.;Modern society is specialized circle, economy, culture with all systems, changes fast and develops along various and complex world stream. modern persons are losing self from feeling of helplessness and fear which do not fill by anything on modern society that become height. In the world that psychological holding and sense of stability offered by more traditional environment are lacked modern persons threatened identity that should acquire through self-reflection, and were fallen in uncertainty. As the researcher who living in modern adapt in change with not finding stabile sense of security about the researcher's position, and reflecting own idea in this society. And the researcher in modern confused and complex circle was wandering with several thinkings which were not arranged such as psychological fear and discontent, relief. in this situation the researcher can not continue showering 'Why am I here?', 'What am I doing through art now?', and questions on myself, 'Finally, who am I?' etc. these questions had grown gradually bigger, and the researcher have could not get answer about those questions explicitly. The researcher wishes to express the indeterminable circumstance and process which visit self identity with target that wish to get solution of question about this principal through modeling work. In this study, the researcher who face identity crisis within the various, complex and mordern society will examine self identity state by following of Marcia's identity, and investigate about the importance what self identity is and why establishment is needed through literature. And the researcher will examine Dewey's method that form self identity, reflecting thinking. The researcher leads own confessing circumstance through intermediate formative work of the self-reflect thought to form self identity, and proves that fiber formative activity is effective method to form self identity. Also, the researcher investigates about social mind that the researcher feels on modern society and concept of 'Indeterminacy' that mean vague condition by self identity crisis at the same time, and lead that the concept is expressed comprehensively in contents and form of the resercher's work. Also, whole image of work is expressed by grouping of circle types. The researcher wish to show process that form self by examining original intention symbolism that is element of screen that become grouping language. The researcher wish to attempt real and specific access of self identity formation about researcher through fiber formative expression that change subjective and inside psychology of self into objective formative form. The researcher's eight works are expressing inside psychology condition's that is own confession by brow image changing in circumstance, and each face image means a cast-off skin that ripen. The researcher thought that Facial expression and change are most concise and exactly means which passes own inner psychology condition. Thus, the researcher wishes to present inner access aspect of self by formative language method through uncertain expression. This study wished to represent circumstance and process of self-reflection by formative activity of fiber art with concept of indeterminacy and get oneself help in self identity formation through study process. Also, through this study, the researcher wished to grope path that can express self inside psychology of more effective method forward.
