사회과 경제영역의 내용변천에 관한 연구

Abstract

Today in this country, critical economic problems such as unbalance of industrial structure, redistribution of wealth and environmental pollution have raised their heads according to the rapid ecocomic growth, and more recently another problems like interchange with the Communist camp and economic interchange with North Korea have emerged as important issues of economy. Therefore, knowledge and thinking ability related with these economic problems are most urgently required at this stage of time. The economic education for the students in elementary and middle school who will lead the future is most important for this country to solve various problems due to her rapid economic growth, and tlo accomplish the continous economic growth in the coming society of the 21th century. The economic education in school as one realm of social studies must cultivate students' determinant ability and necessary economic understanding to make them to be a demorcratic citizen who could do his best in the future society of solve problems rationally and logically confronting economic phenomena in everyday life. This study is to see the actual condition of economic education in this countuy and suggest available directions for future economic education by analyzing the economic contents in the economic contents in the text of social studies, which has played a leading role in the economic education of this land, mainly on the amendment of the curriculum of social studies at the present point of time. To accomplish this purpose, reference to literature and positive research through text analysis have been paralleled. In this syudy, the relationship between the education in social studies and economic situation under each period of amendment has been examined in outline through literature. In addition to this, the educational contents of economic realism have been analyzed by goal, unit and concept based on the texts of social studies selected one per each periok of curriculum. Through this research, it has been revealed that the important policy and subjects af each period were treated also importantly in the text.;오늘날 우리나라는 비약적인 경제성장과 더불어 산업구조의 불균형, 부의 재분배 문제, 환경오염등이 중요한 경제 문제로 대두되었고 최근에는 공산권과의 교류 문제, 북한과의 경제 교류 문제등이 중요한 경제 문제로 등장하고 있다. 따라서 그 어느때보다도 경제문제에 대한 지식과 사고능력이 요구된다고 볼 수 있다. 우리사회가 다가오는 2000년대 사회에서 비약적인 경제성장과 더불어 발생된 여러 문제를 해결하고 계속적인 경제성장을 이룩하기 위해서는 이 나라의 미래를 이끌어나갈 초·중고생을 대상으로한 경제교육이 가장 중요하다고 할 것이다. 학교 경제 교육은 사회과의 한 영역으로써 학생들에게 일상생활에서 접하는 경제현상에 대해 합리적, 논리적으로 해결할 수 있는 의사 결정 능력 즉, 오늘날의 사회에서 자기 책임을 다 할 수 있는 시민이 되는데 필요한 경제적 이해력을 가진 민주시민을 양성해야 할 것이다. 본 연구는 현 시점에서 사회과 교육과정 개정을 중심으로 경제교육의 주도적 역할을 한사회과 교과서의 경제 내용을 분석함으로써 우리나라 경제교육의 실상을 알아보고, 앞으로의 경제교육에 대한 방향을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위한 연구 방법으로 문헌연구와 교과서 분석을 통한 실증적 연구를 병행하였다. 본 연구는 먼저 사회과교육과 경제교육과의 관계를 알아보고, 각 개정 시기마다 경제적상황을 문헌을 통하여 대략적으로 파악하였으며 이와함께 각 교육과정 시기에 사용되었던 중학교 사회과 교과서 1권씩을 선정하여 경제영역의 교육내용을 목표별, 단원별, 개념별로 분석하였다. 이상과 같은 연구 방법을 통하여 각 개정시기마다 중요시되었던 정책이나 사항들이 교과서에서도 역시 비중있게 다루어지고 있음을 볼 수 있었다.
