舞踊 테크놀로지의 效率性에 對한 硏究

Abstract

연구의 목적은 현대 기술 문명의 발달과 함께 그 중요성이 부각되고 있는 무용 테크놀로지에 대한 이해를 넓히고 그 가능성을 제시하여 이 분야에 대한 무용인들의 관심을 촉구하고자 하는데 있다. 그러기 위해서는 무용 테크놀로지의 효율성을 밝히고 그 연구 가치를 증명하여야 하였다. 본 연구에서는 무용 테크놀로지의 효율성을 추론하는데 있어서 무용 테크놀로지의 여러 분야 중 가장 활발히 연구가 진행되고 있는 컴퓨터 무용 기보 분야를 그 예로써 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 제 2장에서는 먼저 무용 테크놀로지의 현대적 정의를 규명하였고, 생성 및 발전하게 된 과정에 대한 역사적 배경 소개를 통해 무용 테크놀로지 전반에 관한 이해를 돕고자 하였다. 또한 각 연구 영역별로 연구 현황을 소개함으로써 무용 테크놀로지가 무엇이며 현재까지 어떻게 연구가 진행되어 왔는가에 대하여 서술하였다. 무용 테크놀로지의 효율성 검증을 위한 분석 부분에서는 오하이오 주립대학에서 연구한 라바노테이션 프로그램인 라반 라이터(Laban Writer)라는 소프트 웨어를 직접 사용해 봄으로써 경험을 통한 사용 소견을 밝히고 그 장점과 단점을 분류하였다. 이 프로그램의 분석에 들어가기에 앞서 제 3장에서는 라반 라이터의 기초가 되는 라바노테이션의 특징과 효율성 및 그 구성을 다루고, 제 4장에서는 라바노테이션의 단점 및 이의 보완책으로서의 컴퓨터의 이용에 대하여 서술함으로써 컴퓨터 라바노테이션 프로그램인 라반 라이터가 연구되게 된 경위를 먼저 밝혔다. 제 5장에서는 라반 라이터의 사용법을 화면 그림과 함께 제시하여 실제 라반 라이터를 사용하는 과정을 묘사함으로써 실용성을 직접 확인할 수 있도록 하였고, 이를 통하여 효율성을 분석하였다. 또한, 라반 라이터 프로그램을 사용하여 발레의 땅뒤 동작을 기록, 그 사용 소견을 기술하였다. 그 결과로 나타난 라반 라이터 프로그램 사용시의 장점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시간이 절약된다. 둘째, 책을 찾는 번거로움이 줄어든다. 셋째, 수정이 간편하다. 넷째, 정확하고 깨끗하다. 다섯째, 보존이 용이하다. 여섯째, 흥미를 유발시켜 준다. 일곱째, 반복되는 동작 기록에 편리하다. 여덟째, 원하는 수만큼 출력해 낼 수 있다. 라반 라이터 프로그램 사용시의 단점은 라반 라이터 프로그램에 사용하는 매킨토시 컴퓨터가 가진 단점과, 컴퓨터 사용 자체의 제한점으로 다음과 같이 나타났다. 첫째, 한번에 하나의 메뉴에서 하나의 명령밖에 줄 수 없다. 둘째, 고가의 장비를 필요로 한다. 셋째, 기본적인 컴퓨터 교육 배경이 있어야 한다. 넷째, 장소에 제한을 받는다. 이 검증을 통해서 밝히고자 하는 바는 이러한 단점에도 불구하고 무용 테크놀로지는 그 실용에 있어 효율적이며, 무용 테크놀로지의 발전은 무용이 발전하는데 큰 힘이 될 수 있으리라는 것이다. 본 연구는 무용 테크놀로지의 효율성을 밝히는 동시에 무용 테크놀로지의 무한한 잠재력과 가능성을 밝히고 앞으로의 발전상을 제시하였다. 앞으로 무용 테크놀로지는 더욱더 많은 관심과 연구 속에 계속적인 발전이 이루어질 것이라 사려된다.;This thesis is aimed at presenting the concept of dance technology and its availability thus finally attracting the awareness and interests in it from the field of dance. Dance technology is being regarded as an important field with the technological development of the modern times. To reach the goal of this thesis, it was necessary to focus on the efficiency of the dance technology and value of studying it. For this, present study analyzed the field of computer dance notation, which is the most actively researched area of the dance technology. In chapter 2, by giving a modern definition of dance technology and introducing a historical backgrounds regarding its origin and development, this thesis tried to help the general understanding of dance technology. Also, by introducing the academic achievement in this area, present study tried to illuminate the answer to the most common question, what is dance technology and what research has been done in this field. In the area of proving the effectiveness of dance technology, a Labanotation processing program ( Laban Writer) developed by Ohio State University has been analyzed and the pros and cons of the program has been stated. Before going into the detail discussion of the program analysis, in chapter 3, this study has dealt with the characteristics, efficiency and structure of Labanotation, which is the basis of the Laban Writer. Furthermore, in Chapter 4, through stating the shortcomings of Labanotation and its remedies, the circumstance that led to the research and development of a computer program, Laban Writer, has been presented. In chapter 5 , in analyzing the effectiveness of Laban Writer program, this study presented the method of use along with the graphics displayed on the computer screen in order to give an opportunity to experience the effectiveness of the Laban Writer. Using this method, Ten du movement of ballet was recorded and the opinion of using this program was stated. In brief, strong points of the program are 1) save time 2) Eliminate the process of searching for the appropriate notation in the book 3) Simple editing process 4) Accurate and definite 5) Easy to preserve 6) Illicit interests 7) Easy to record a repeating movement 8) Easy printing On the other hand, the weak points are related to the use of Macintosh computer and they are 1) Only one command can be executed from a given menu 2) The use is limited to the environment where the computer is available 3) The high cost of the equipment 4) The basic computer education is needed to use the program In spite of all the above stated shortcomings, the dance technology, in its application, is very useful and cost effective. Therefore, the development of dance technology will be a great assets to the improvement of dance. Present study has highlighted the unlimited possibility of improvement in dance technology and at the same time forecast its bright future.
