M. Ravel의<Le Tombeau De Couperin>과 S. Rachmaninoff의<Variations on a Theme by Corelli, Op. 42>에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 필자의 석사과정 이수를 위한 졸업연주회의 곡목중 M.Ravel의 <Le Tombeau de Couperin>과 S.Rachmaninoff의 <Variations on a Theme by Corelli, Op.42>에 대한 분석이다. M.Ravel은 20세기초 프랑스 인상주의 음악을 대표하며 고전적 형식에 기초를 두고 인상주의 기법을 적용시켜 독특한 음악어법을 확립한 작곡가이다. 그의 마지막 피아노 작품인 <Le Tombeau de Couperin>은 바로크 시대의 고전모음곡 양식에 따라 쓰여진 신 고전주의적 작품이다. Prelude, Fugue, Forlane, Rigaudon. Menuet, Toccata의 6곡으로 구성되어 있으며 각 곡들은 분명한 형식, 정돈된 리듬, 균형잡힌 악구구조 등의 고전주의적인 요소와 9도, 11도, 13도 화음의 사용, 반음계적인 진행, 병행화음, 페달음 등의 인상주의 기법이 조화를 이루고 있다. S.Rachmaninoff는 러시아 후기낭만파 음악을 대표하며 당시의 현대음악적 경향을 따르지 않고 낭만주의 음악 양식을 고수한 작곡가이다. 그의 마지막 피아노 작품인 <Variations on a Theme by Corelli, Op.42>는 전체 세부분으로 나뉘며 각 변주들은 서로 유기적인 관계를 맺고 있다. 투명한 구조, 서정적이고 우울한 선율, 날카로운 리듬, 반음계적 화성기법 등 작곡가의 풍부한 상상력이 잘 나타나 있다.;This study is the analysis on <Le Tombeau de Couperin> and <Variations on a Theme by Corelli, Op.42> of S.Rachmaninoff among the musical program of graduation concert for the completion of the master's course of author. M.Ravel is a composer who represented the impressionism music of France at the early 20th century and established the peculiar musical expression by applying the impressionistic style on the basis of the classical form. <Le Tombeau de Couperin> which is his last piano work is the neo-classical work written in accordance with the typical style of Baroque period. It is composed of 6 pieces such as prelude, Fugue, Forlane, Rigaudon, Menuet and Toccata, and in each piece, the classical elements such as distinct form, organized rhythm, and balanced phrase structure, and the impressionistic style such as the use of 9th, 11th and 13th chords, chromatic progression, parallel chord and-pedal notes etc. are harmonizing. S. Rachmaninoff is the conservative composer who represented the late romantic music of Russia and didn't follow then modern musical tendency and adhered to romantic style. <Variations on a Theme by Corelli, Op.42> which is his last piano work is classified into 3 parts, and each variation has the systematic relation mutually. The abundant imagination such as clear structure, lyric and gloomy melody, sharp rhythm, and chromatic harmony etc. is appearing well.
