가정과 교육을 통한 예절교육 실태에 대한 일연구

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to get the youth to learn adequate etiquette systematically in this complicated and confusing modern society. and to find out the systemic method of etiquette education with the result which has been revealed by analyzing the reality of etiquette education in middle schools. The study of documentary records and made-up question was used for this research. And the present writer have examined the relation between the features of home economics education and propriety education, the basic theory of etiquette, the direction of propriety education and setting up the content of etiquette education by making inquiries into records. By inquiring of 421 students who are attending four different girls middle schools, their viewpoints about etiquette, the degree of recognition and attitude toward etiquette in every day life has been analyzed. According to the formation of school home economics textbook, the writer has inspected basic etiquette. etiquette at home, in meals, clothing, social life and so forth in everyday life. it is revealed that most of the students have recognized the basic idea about etiquette very well, but in contrast, they haven't been practicing it in their real lives. About the cause of this fact, it can be said that today's small family system, western individualism and liberalism reshly inflowed have caused the relation and sense of common bonds among family members to be weakened, and also the youth to have trouble in being socialized in the early stage, so they become selfish and self-centered, lacking yield or courtesy, endurance and ignoring others. This problems also can be said to be caused by knowledge and technique centered school education system. In order to get over these weaknesses in etiquette education of home and school, first of all, we should follow the aim and contents of home economics education that let the students have good human relations and the abilities to seek better life in their everyday life, And for achivement of this aim, the education should be performed by hone economics education. In order to perform etiquette education effectively through home economics education, not only it must be performed systematically according to the contents order of the system of home economics education objects. but also it must be applied in real life so that they can understand the theory and continue to practice it by using filly the double functions of theory and practice of home economics education.;본 연구의 목적은 오늘날의 급격한 사회구조의 변화와 가치관의 혼란 속에서 빚어진 도덕과 예의 혼란상태에서 청소년들에게 현대생활에 알맞는 생활예절을 체계적으로 습득케하기 위하여, 중등학교 家政科 敎育에 있어서 예절교육의 실태를 분석하므로써 이를 통해 나타난 결과를 통하여 체계적인 예절교육 방안을 모색해 보는데 있다. 연구방법은 문헌연구와 설문지법을 병용하였는데, 문헌연구로는 가정과교육의 성격과 예절교육의 관계, 예절의 기본이론, 예절교육의 방향, 예절교육의 내용설정 등에 관하여 이론적 고찰을 하였고, 설문지를 통한 조사연구로는 서울시의 4개 중학교 2학년 여학생 421명을 대상으로 예절에 대한 가치관, 예절에 대한 구체척인 인식도, 예절 생활태도 등을 분석, 검토하였다. 중학교 가정과목 교과서의 편제에 따라 기본예절, 가정예절, 식사예절, 의생활예절, 사회생활예절 등에 대한 예절 실천태도를 살펴 보았는데, 예절에 대한 근본정신과 가치관에 대한 인식도가 비교적 높게 나타난 것과는 대조적으로 구체적인 경우에 예절이 올바로 실행되고 있지는 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 오늘날 핵가족화와 무분별하게 유입된 서구의 개인주의, 자유주의 등으로 가족간의 연대의식과 결합력이 약화되고 청소년들이 초기 사회화과정부터 장애가 생겨 이기적이고 자기 중심적으로 성장하게 되므로써 양보나 예의를 갖추기 보다는 불편을 참지 못하고 남을 의식치 않는데서 비롯되는 것이며, 또한 지식교육과 기술교육에 치중하고 있는 학교교육도 그 원인이 된다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 가정과 학교에서 예절교육의 한계를 극복하기 위해서는 우선, 예절교육은 무엇보다도 원만한 인간관계와 일상생활의 질적 향상을 도모할 수 있는 능력을 기르게 한다는 가정과 교육의 목적과 내용에 부합되므로 그에 대한 교육도 가정과 교육에서 이루어지는 것이 합리적이라고 생각한다. 가정과 교육에서 예절교육이 효율적으로 이루어지기 위해서는 전통예절을 기초로 하면서 현행 가정과 교육의 목표체계와 내용체계에서 나타나고 있는 관련항목의 순서에 따라 체계적으로 이루어져야 함은 물론, 생활화를 위하여 예절교육의 내용이 직접적으로 실생활에 적용될 수 있도록 가정과 교육의 특성인 이론적 측면과 실천적 측면의 2중적 기능을 충분히 활용하므로써 인지적 차원에서의 이해와 이에 대한 지속적인 실습이 가능토록 하여야 할 것이다.
