Spread(번짐) 효과실험에 의한 표현 연구

Abstract

오늘날 현대 미술에서는 기존의 정형화되고 통념적인 표현방식에서 벗어나서 작가의 개성을 바탕으로 하는 실험적인 표현방법들이 이루어지고 있다. 무수히 시도되고 있는 이러한 표현실험에서는 그리는 방법, 바르는 방법, 흘리는 방법, 미는 방법, 태우는 방법, 번지게 하는 방법 등 다양한 기법이 나타나고 있다. 표현이란 한사람의 지각장에 축적되어 있는 경험의 세계가 표출되는 것이며, 이미지의 표현은 자신의 감정을 무작위적으로 나타내는 것이라기 보다는 마음속에 내재된 하나의 감정을 구체화시켜 표현함으로써 미적경험을 하게 되는 것이다. 따라서 표현자의 특성이나 경험에 의해서 각 개인의 표현방식은 다르게 보여질 수밖에 없다. 본 연구에서는 수채화나 묵화의 특성 및 표현방법에 의해서 나타나는 번짐효과를 이용해서 자신의 내면세계를 기존의 형식에 구애받지 않고 표출할 수 있는 가능성을 찾고자 한다. 실험연구의 착수에 앞서 효율적으로 spread 효과를 실험할 수 있는 선험적인 방법들을 찾으려고 노력하였다. 그러나 안타깝게도 염색을 이용한 단 한편의 실험연구 사례만을 발견하였으나 본 연구에는 큰 도움이 되지 못하였다. 이러한 상황에서 연구자는 수채화 물감과 칼라 잉크(drawing ink)를 주재료로 이용한 실험연구를 3단계로 구분하여 반복적으로 시도한 결과를 기록·정리해서 공통적으로 얻어진 표현효과와 기법을 발견하는데 주력하였다. 이렇게 얻어진 표현기법과 spread효과를 이용하여 작품 10점을 제작한 결과, 각 작품마다 재료의 특성에 따라 색다른 표현효과를 나타내므로 종이와 물감의 선택이 중요한 변화요인이 되었다. 또한 수채화 물감과 칼라잉크(drawing ink)는 알콜과 락스에 의해 혼합됨으로써 다양한 spread효과를 나타내었다. 그리고 손놀림에 필요한 도구, 즉 주사기, 스프레이, 붓 등의 사용을 달리함으로써 표현하고자 하는 다른 효과를 얻을 수 있었다. 그러나 spread효과는 그 자연스러움에 비해 자칫 여러 흔적들이 조화를 이루지 못한채 혼란스러움만을 줄 수 있기 때문에 작품이 완성될때까지 반복적인 채색으로 안정감을 찾아야 하는 어려움이 있다. 또한 색채의 혼합과 형태의 조절을 위해서는 작업 시간의 간격과 표현도구의 사용거리까지도 고려해야 된다는 것을 문제점으로 발견할 수 있었다. 이러한 문제점은 향후 더 많은 변형실험과 연구를 통해서 극복되어질 수 있으며 보다 명확한 spread표현 효과를 정립하기 위한 다음 연구의 과제로 삼으려 한다.;Today, in the modern fine art. the experimental experience methods based on the individuality of artist are being made by getting out of the existing standardized and common notional expression method. In this expression experiment which is being tried innumerably. diverse techniques such as drawing method. applying method. spilling method, pushing method. burning method, and the method to make spread etc. are emerging. Expression that the world of experience being accumulated in the sense field of one person, and the expression of image is to get to make aesthetic experience by embodying and expressing one feeling which indwells in heart rather than expressing own feeling randomly. Thus, the expression method of each individual cannot help showing differently. by the feature or experience of the person who expresses. In this study, the researcher tries to find the possibility to be able to express own inner world without regard to the existing form. by using the spread effect to appear by means of the feature and expression method of water-color painting or paintings in Chinese ink. Before the start of experimental study, the researcher made efforts. so as to find the transcendental methods to be able to experiment the spread effect efficiently. However, the researcher found the only one case of experimental study to use dyeing, but it wasn't helpful to this study. In this situation, the research concentrated efforts on finding the expression effect and technique obtained in common by recording and arranging the result to have tried the experimental study to use water-color paints and drawing ink as main materials repeatedly after classifying it into 3 stages. As the result to have manufactured 10 pieces of works by using the expression techniques and spread effect obtained like this, each work shows the novel expression effect in accordance with the feature of material. so, the selection of paper and dye-stuffs became important change factor. In addition, water-color paints and drawing ink showed the diverse spread effect by being with alcohol and lax. And, by majing use of the tools which are necessary for a way of using use of the tools which are necessary for a way of using hand such as injector. spray and brush etc. differently. the different effect to try to express could be obtained. However. spread effect may give confusion, while many marks fails to harmonize in comparison with the naturalness. So, there is difficulty to have to find the sense of security with the repetitive coloring, until the work is completed. In addition, for the mixture of color and the control of form. to have to consider even the interval of working hours and the use distance of expression tool could be found as the points at issue. These points at issue can be surmounted through more transformation experiment and study henceforth. and the researcher treis to make them as the subject of next study for establishing more definite expression effect of spread.
