Johannes Brahms의 "대학축전서곡" Op.80에 대한 분석

Abstract

본 논문은 브라암스가 1880년에 작곡한 교향곡적 작품인 『대학 축전 서곡』에 관한 분석 연구이다. 연구 방법으로는 『대학 축전 서곡』의 이론적 배경을 위하여 브라암스 교향곡과 관현악곡에 관한 작품의 성격과 특징, 음악적인 내용을 종합해 보았으며 본론에서는 형식 및 악장 구성, 선율적 특징, 화성, 리듬, 조성등의 내용을 분석해 보았다. 『대학 축전 서곡』은 4곡의 학생가, 즉『우리는 훌륭한 교사를 세웠다』 『나라의 어버이』 『신입생의 노래』 『환희의 노래』로 구성된 자유로운 소나타 형식으로 되어 있으며, 각 주제부는 다부분적 혹은 론도적 구성을 보여준다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 선율은 반복 진행, 동형 진행, 변형 확대된 동형 진행과 함께 대위법적인 모방 진행도 효과있게 사용되었다. 둘째, 조성은 각 부분이 장조, 단조가 교차되는 경우가 많으며 3화음, 7화음이 주요 화음을 이루면서 감 7화음과 속 7화음이 특징적으로 나타난다. 셋째, 리듬은 여러 형의 잇단음표, 점음표, 장식적 리듬, 당김음, 교차 리듬등이 보여지면서 셈여림, 빠르기 박자의 변화와 액센트에 의해 리듬의 대비를 이루고 있다. 또한 레가토와 스타카토, 피치카토와 아르코 등의 교차가 많이 나타나고, 아티큐레이션의 변화를 통해 곡의 구성미를 한층 높이며 각 부분의 주요 선율들이 목관, 금관, 현악기 군에 골고루 배분되면서 각 악기군의 음색이 충분히 고려되어 있다. 이상의 특징을 지닌 브라암스의 『대학 축전 서곡』을 전통적인 고전 기법에 낭만주의의 표현성을 불어 넣은 그의 작곡기법을 충분히 드러내주고 있는 작품이다.;This thesis is aimed at analyzing .and studying Brahs's Orchestral piece, the "Academic Festival Overture:"(1880). As the theoretical background of this study, a thorough research has been carried out regarding the characteristics, the musical expressions and the nature of his Symphonic and Orchestral works. In the main part of the thesis, analysis has been made of the form, organization of movements, characteristics of melody, harmony, rhythm and tone, of the "Academic Festival Overture". The "Academic Festival Overture" composed of four Das Fuchslied, which are <We have made a new school>, <the Father of the Country>. <Fresh Song>, and <Song of Happiness>, has a free style of Sonata form and also has as its themes the multisection or rondo structure. The study results are as follows: First, the melody makes the best of repeat, sequence, sequencial progression, and contrapuntal imitation. Second, the tone of majors with minor, and the major chords are triads and the 7th chords with the diminished and secondary 7th chords. Third, the rhythm includes many kinds of triples, dotted notes, rhythmic ornamentation, syncopation, cross rhythm, and the effective rhythmic contrasts can be made by dynamics and tempo matter and accents. Finally, the characteristic combinations of legato and staccato, and of pizziccatto and arco frequently appear in the work and its structure is heightened through the changes of articulation. The major melodies of each section are adequately distributed among the woodwind, brass and string instruments, and the tonic expressions of each instrument are sufficiently considered. Brahms's Symphony, the "Academic Festival Overture", therefore, is a work that demonstrates his technical innovations which added Romantic expression to the traditional Classical technique.
