기하학적 문양으로 design한 자수작품에 관한 연구

Abstract

조선조 말기 이후 외세의 탄압과 세계 정세에 의한 역사적 단절, 산업화에 따른 생활구조의 변화, 서구문화의 도입에 의한 전통성 해체 등의 현상으로 우리 민족 고유의 기본심성이 혼란에 빠져있는 이때에 전통을 찾는 다는 것은 우리 자신을 되찾는 것이라 할 수 있으며, 앞으로 우리가 계승 발전하여야 할 전통의 초석이 될 수 있는 일이라 여겨진다. 본 연구는 이러한 관점에서 우리의 민족적 정서와 미의식을 반영해 온 전통 문양을 작품에 응용하여, 한국적 이미지를 내재하고 있는 독창적인 작품으로 제작하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위한 이론적 배경으로 전통문양의 개념, 한국 문양의 발전과정, 기하학적 떡살문양, 단청의 문양과 색채를 참고문헌을 통해 고찰하고, 수집된 문양을 변형 재구성하여 자수의 다양하고 새로운 기법으로 섬세하고 부드럽게 작품을 제작하고자 노력하였다. 작품제작을 동하여 기하학적 떡살문양이 한국의 조형미를 창조하는데 기초가 되는 소재로써 현대적인 감각을 느끼게 하며, 대부분의 우리 문양이 갖는 벽사(壁邪) 수복을 기원하는 사상을 내포하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.;At this distance of time when the basic natures of our own nation are in disorder due to dissolution of conventionality, by the instruction of the Western culture, change of life structure attend- ant on the industrialization and the historical discontinuation by political and economical pressure from foreign powers since the end of Yi-dynasty, the efforts to resume the traditional character are equal to take ourselves back, which will lead to lay the foundation stone of tradition that is to be succeeded and developed. From the stand-point, the purpose of the study is to apply the traditional pattern of Korea to the works of arts of today that have reflected the national sentiments and aesthetic consciousness, and to create an original works in which Korean images are inherent. For that purpose, the concept of traditional pattern, development process of Korean patterns wooden-rice-cake pattern of geometrical type and patterns and colors of Korean paintings have theoretically studied through reference to the related literature and I have tried to produce the works delicately and softly by the use of the diverse and fresh technique of embroidery through the reconstruction and transformation of the collected patterns. Through the production of works, I realized that the wooden-rice-cake pattern make us sense the modernistic feeling as fundamental materials in the creation of the formative beauty of Korea and also, it involves the thought of longevity and happiness as most of Korean patterns did.
