인간형상을 통한 새로운 형상성 추구

Abstract

Man receives Influences from outer environment in all his demand and interest. Therefore, he is closely connected with his surrounding world, nd the surrounding realities act as a mirror of such a human existence. Since, like this, any human existence that departed from a social situation cannot be recognized, the artist has to have a firm will upon the historical situation life the society. Therefore, any artwork as product of the times also must be expressed with priority given to man and his life, and has to be so made as to have man recognize his reality jutly. The theory of realism which sees art as a method of recognition from a perspective of a concept of 'reality reflection' has a common context with my artistic orientation, and says htat art is not 'immitation' or 'coping' but a way of recognition of man and the objective real world. This orientation that defined the object of artwork as 'man and life' made me understand the man who lives the modern times as an existential portrait and express the true state or truth of life through the appearance of man. Also, the value of existence that is to be given to man was contained in the shape of man in order to describe, through the shape, the inner conflice and mental wandering that man is to suffer in the situation of the times of the society. As for the theoretical base for the work, the relation between the state of the times and man in the sapect of art's reality-reflecting and tendencies of the works where this standpoint is reflected were explained by means of examples: and, the meaning that 'human figure' as a realistic existence has was illuminated by grasping the state of man and the will of man that is to be held in the state. In work-analysis, the continuous correlationship of content and form that sppeared in the process of production was analyzed in such a manner that the both were connected to the work as concepts respectively devided between each other: and, some technique swhich added effects to the work were mentioned about. Resultantly, through the study, the view upon life were reilluminated by analyzing work upon the theoretical basis and the view of value for future creative actities could be reestablished in a triangular position. And that this may contribute to future development.;인간은 자신의 모든 요구와 관삼에 있어서 외부 환경의 영향을 받는다. 따라서 그를 둘러싸고 있는 세계와 밀접하게 연관되어 있으며, 주변의 현실은 그러한 인간의 존재를 보여 준다. 이렇듯 사회적 상황을 떠난 인간의 존재는 인식될 수 없으며, 작가는 그 사회의 시대적 상황에 대해 확고한 의지를 가져야 한다. 그러므로 시대의 산물인 예술작품 역시 인간과 그의 삶을 중심으로 표현되어져야 하며 인간에게 자신의 현실을 올바르게 인식할 수 있도록 해야 한다. 예술을 이러한 '현실반영'의 개념에 입각해서 인식의 한 방법으로 보고 있는 리얼리즘 이론은 본인의 작품의도와 일맥을 같이 하는 논리로써, 예술이 '모방' 혹은 '모사'가 아닌 인간과 객관적 실제 세계에 대한 인식의 한 방법임을 말해 준다. 작품의 대상을 인간과 삶으로 규정한 본인은 현대를 살아가는 인간을 실존적 인간상으로 파악하고, 인간의 모습을 통해 삶의 진상과 진실을 표현하고자 하였다. 또한 인간에게 주어지는 현존의 가치를 인간 형상에 담아 그 모습을 통해 사회의 시대상황 속에서 겪게 되는 내적 갈등, 정신적 방황을 묘사 하고자 하였다. 이러한 작품의 이론적 기반을 마련하기 위해 예술의 현실반영 입장에서 시대상황과 인간과의 관계 또한 이러한 입장이 반영된 작품 경향을 예로서 설명하였으며, 현실적 존재로서 '인간형상'이 갖는 의미를 인간의 상황과 상황속에서 갖게 되는 인간의 의지를 파악함으로써 조명해 보았다. 작품 분석에서는 제작과정상 나타나게 되는 내용과 형식의 계속되는 상관관계에 대해 내용과 형식을 각각 양분한 개념을 가지고 작품에 연결시켜 분석해 보았으며 작품의 효과를 더해 주는 기법에 대해 언급 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 이론적 기반을 바탕으로 작품을 분석해 봄으로써 삶에 대한 시각을 재조명하고, 앞으로의 창작활동에 대한 가치관을 재정립함으로써 보다 발전적인 방향제시를 갖고자 한다.
