부모교육에 따른 부모의 자녀교육관에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문에서는 부모의 성, 연령, 교육정도, 사회계층과 같은 사회인구학적인 변인과 부모교육 참여여부 및 참여형태에 따라, 학년기 자녀를 둔 부모의 자녀교육관이 어떤 차이를 나타내는 지를 밝히고, 나아가 부모교육 참여여부 및 참여형태가 배우자의 자녀교육관에 영향을 미치는 지를 파악하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울시에 거주하는 국민학교 자녀를 둔 학부모 324명(162쌍)으로, 그 중에는 전문적인 부모교육 즉 부모역할 훈련(P.E.T.)을 받은 어머니 32명과 아버지 1명, 그리고 학교, 기관에서 실시하는 일반적인 부모교육 강의를 받은 어머니 36명과 아버지 10명이 포함되어 있다. 측정도구는 부모의 자녀교육관을 측정하기 위하여 이원영(1983 a)의 자녀교육관 측정척도를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료의 분석을 위하여 paired-t검증,t 검증,일원변량분석과 추후검증으로 Multiple Range Test,G L M검증,적률상관계수 산출,그리고 중다회귀분석을 실시하였고 신뢰도 검증을 위해 Cronbach's α 를 산출하였다. 주요 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 부모의 자녀교육관은 전체적으로 성인중심적인 것으로 나타났으며, 부모의 성 및 연령에 따른 자녀교육관의 유의한 차이는 발견되지 않았다. 그러나 교육정도와 사회계층에 따라서는 유의한 차이가 나타나 교육정도와 사회계층이 높을수록 아동 중심적인 경향의 교육관을 갖고있었다. 2. 어머니의 부모교육 참여여부 및 참여형태에 따른 어머니의 자녀교육관에 있서 어머니가 전문적인 부모교육(P.E.T.)을 받을수록 아동중심적인 경향의 교육관을 갖고 있었다. 3. 부모교육 참여여부 및 참여형태가 배우자의 자녀교육관에 영향을 미치는 지의 여부에서 어머니가 부모교육을 받을수록 그리고 좀더 전문적인 부모교육을 받을수록 아버지의 자녀교육관은 아동중심적인 경향의 교육관을 나타내었다. 4. 부모의 자녀교육관에 미치는 연령,교육정도,사회계층,부모교육 참여여부 및 참여형태의 상대적인 영향력을 알아본 결과, 아버지의 자녀교육관에 유의한 영향을 미치는 변인은 사회계층, 어머니의 부모교육 참여여부 및 참여형태 의 순으로 나타났으며, 아버지의 자녀교육관에 대한 이들 2개 변인의 설명력은 41%로 높게 나타났다. 어머니의 자녀교육관에 유의한 영향을 미치는 변인은 어머니의 부모교육 참여여부 및 참여형태, 어머니의 교육정도의 순으로 나타났으며, 어머니의 자녀교육관에 대한 이들 2개 변인의 설명력은 46%로 매우 높게 나타났다. 위와같은 결과를 통해 볼때, 부모교육에의 참여가 어머니나 그 배우자인 아버지의 자녀교육관에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다고 할 수 있다.;The purpose of this study was to investigate the parent's educational views according to sex of parent,age,levels of parental educations, social class,participation of parent and the types of parent education. And this study was also intended to examine parent's educational views resulting from participation of parent education and the types of parent education of partner. The subject of this study was concisted of 162 couples(324 persons) who have their child attending to elementary school. The parent's education1 views were evaluated by an instrumen,"A tools of Parent's Education1 Views Measurement", developted by Ie, Won-Yong(1983). For the statistical analysis of data, paired t-test,one way avova analysis and duncan's multiple range test, G L M,pearson's r,and regression were utilized and Cronbach's α was a verification of reliability of it. The results were summarized as follows: 1.parent educational views has shown a tendency to be adult-oriented rather than child centered, and there were no differences in parent's educational views according to parent's sex and age. But,significant diffrences were appeared in parent's educatinal views according to levels of parental educations and social class. 2. Mothers who had participated the specialized parent education have shown child oriented educational views. 3. When the Mothers had participated the specilized parent education, the more fathers have shown the child oriented educational views. 4. The variables which influenced fathers educatuonal views were social clss and the participation of parent education of mothers. The variables which influenced mother's educational views were the levels of mother's educations and the mother's participation in parent education.
