무용 연출을 위한 매체의 특성 연구

Abstract

무용은 동적예술이며 종합예술이다. 무용이 무대에서 공연되어졌을 때 관객이 감상하게 되는 것은 바로 움직임이다. 따라서 무용은 움직임을 일차적 매개체로 하는 동적 예술인 것이다. 또한 무용작품이 감상을 위한 것이 되어졌을 때에는 조명, 장치, 의상 등의 매체들이 무용움직임과의 상호관계를 통해 안무가가 의도하는 바를 효과적으로 나타내어주는 수단으로 사용되기 때문에, 무용예술은 모든 매체의 종합성을 반영한다고 볼 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 무용에 사용되는 매체가 무용 움직임 뿐만 아니라 장치, 조명, 의상, 공간, 음악 등을 포함하는 종합적 매체라 여기고, 이들의 특성을 Harrison의 비언어적 기호(non-verbal codes)-(1) 행동적 기호(performance codes), (2) 인공적 기호(artificial codes), (3) 상황적 기호(contextual codes), (4) 매개적 기호(mediational codes)에 따라 분류하고 알아보았다. 사회가 변천하고 기술이 발전하게 되면서, 무용에 사용되는 이러한 매체들 역시 다각도로 고도화되었다 따라서 움직임의 의미를 획득해 나가는 과정과 안무가의 의도를 관객에게 보다 효과적으로 전달하는 과정에서 안무가는 무용 움직임이외의 이러한 장치, 조명, 의상, 공간, 음악 등 매체들의 특성에 대해 완전히 이해하고 작품을 창작하여야 할 것이다. 무용예술이란 종합적 매체를 통해 작자의 사상을 담고 있는 것이기 때문에 본 논문에서는 기존 작품을 예시하고 안무가들이 작품의 효과를 위해 무용움직임 및 매체들을 어떻게 사용했는지에 대해 알아보았다.;Dance is a dynamic and total art. When dance is performed on the stage, it is the movement that audience appreciates. There dance is a dynamic art that the movement is the primary medium. And also when a work of dance is performed for appreciation, the media such as lighting, equipment, costume and music are related reciprocally with the movement of dance. And also the The media, as means that effectively expresses the intention of the choreographer, present that dance is a total art. In I regarded the media used in dance as a total media consisting of not only the movement but also lighting, equipment, costume, music, and space. I classified and investigated the characteristics of these factors according to the non-verbal codes of Harrison ; performance codes(3), and artificial codes(4), contextual codes mediational codes. As society has changed and technology has developed, these media used in dance are also highly develoing in various ways. Therefore, in order to transmit to the andience more effectively the intention of choreographer and the procesure that the movement o f dance is obtaining the meaning, the (원문누락)
