한국 국립종합대학교 교수매체센타의 운영에 관한 연구

Abstract

In a modern society which highly specialized, a role of university education in more importance. In order t o development of university education, university education in Korea should be turned to qualitative development from it's increasement. Through Instructional Media Center that use various instructional media and improve teaching-learning methods, university education can be achieved qualitative development. Today, Instructional Media Center is established in most of the universities in Korea. However, due to a number of reasons, the benefits of such Instructional Media Center are not fully being exploited. The purpose of this study is to survey the current: status of Instructional Media Center in Korea's National Universities and to seek the ways and proposals to improve the operation of Instructional Media Center. The results and proposals of the survey showed the following: 1. Organization of Instructional Media Center turns on admini- strative policy of university, and expansion of organization is needed on operation of Instructional Media Center. Therefore, university should be understood t h e requirement and made plans for the furture of Instructional Media Center. 2. All universities include in the service program production of materials and provision of necessary equipments and use of Audiovisual room but, specialized service for the instructional development and planning is ignored. Therefore, the service should be expanded from teaching oriented method to include assistance to the students for their independent study and activities for the community. 3. Specialist of Educational Technology Major is absolutely lack, and the opportunity of re-education for the personnel. Therefore, competent personnel in the area must be secured in adequate number, and the opportunity of in-service education for the personnel should be performed adequately. 4. The number of materials and equpments are not enough, and facilities for independent study are lack. In order to administer high quality service program various materials and equpments should be secured, and space and materials must be provided for independent study. 5. Budget of Instructional Media Center is absolutely lack, in order to Instructional Media Center is operated effectively financial support should be reinforced.;고도로 전문화된 현대사회에 있어서 대학교육은 필요한 인간자원을 양성하는 그 중요성에서 더욱 그 역할이 부각되고 있다. 급격한 양적 성장을 이룩한 우리나라의 대학교육은 이제 건전한 대학교육의 발전을 위해서 질적 발전으로 그 방향이 전환되어야 하겠다. 대학교육의 질적 향상을 위한 노력은 다양한 교수매체의 활용과 효과적인 교수방법의 개선을 도모해 나가는 교수매체센타를 중심으로 이루어질 수 있는데, 현재 대다수의 대학교에 설치되어 있으나 그 활용은 여러가지 요인으로 인해 활발하지 못한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 대학 교수매체센타의 개념 및 기능과 그 운영에 관해 살펴보고, 우리나라 국립종합대학교 교수매체센타의 운영실태를 조사하여 보다 효과적인 운영방안을 모색해 보는데 그 목적이 있다. 설문지를 통하여 전국의 11개 국립종합대학교에서 설치·운영 되고 있는 교수매체센타를 대상으로 운영실태를 조사하였으며, 그 결과 및 제언은 다음과 같다. 1. 교수매체센타의 조직은 학교의 행정 정책에 의해서 결정되며 운영상 조직의 확충을 필요로 하므로, 학교당국은 교수매체센타의 조직확충에 대한 필요성을 인식하여 학교당국 차원에서 교수매체센타에 대한 발전계획을 수립해야 하겠다. 2. 교수매체센타의 서비스 프로그램은 주로 강의지원을 위한 교재제작, 교구 대출, 시청각실 이용에 대한 지원활동이며 교수개발 및 계획에 대한 전문적인 서비스는 이루어지지 않고 있다. 따라서 교수 위주의 서비스를 확대하여 학생의 개별학습 및 활동 그리고 지역사회를 위한 서비스도 제공되어야 하겠다. 3. 시청각교육(교육공학)을 전공한 전문요원이 절대적으로 부족하며 요원에 대한 재교육이 부족한 실정이므로, 해당 분야에 대한 전문적인 자격과 능력을 갖춘 충분한 수의 요원이 확보되어야 하며 요원의 자질향상을 위한 연수교육의 기회가 충분히 마련되어야 하겠다. 4. 교수매체센타에서 보유하고 있는 교재/교구의 종류와 그 수가 부족하며 학생들의 개별학습을 위한 시설도 부족하다. 따라서 양질의 서비스 프로그램을 제공하기 위해 다양한 교재/교구가 충분히 확보되어야 하며 개별학습을 위한 공간 및 교재도 갖추어 나가야 하겠다. 5. 교수매체센타의 운영을 위한 예산이 절대적으로 부족한 실정이므로, 교수매체센타가 그 기능을 다 할 수 있도록 학교당국의 적극적인 재정적 지원이 뒷받침되어야 하겠다.
