졸업 연주회 프로그램을 중심으로 한 G. F. Handel, W. A. Mozart, R. Schumann, M. Ravel, L. Bernstein의 성악작품에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 논문은 연구자의 졸업연주곡인 바로크시대부터 20세기 초까지의 성악곡에 나타난 특징과 구조를 살펴봄으로써, 실제 연주에 도움이 되고자 한다. 바로크 시대 G.F.Ha¨ndel(1685~1759)의 음악에는 많은 종교적인 작품들이 있는데 본 논문에서 다루는 "Neun Deutsche Arien" 역시 종교적 주제를 다룬 작품으로 다 카포 아리아 형식으로 되어있다. 특히 이 작품은 Violin, Klavier와 함께 연주된다. W.A.Mozart(1756∼1791)는 많은 콘서트 아리아를 남겼다. 그의 작품들 중 K.578 "Alma grande e nobil core"는 Domenico Cimarosa의 오페라 "I due Baroni"에 삽입된 곡으로 론도 형식으로 작곡 되었다. 이 곡에서는 긴 scale과 장식음의 많은 사용으로 성악가의 기교가 요구되는 곡이다. R. Sc′humann(1810~1856)은 낭만주의 시대의 특징인 시의 서정성을 잘 표현하여 시와 노래와 반주의 3위 일체를 이루었다. "미뇽의 노래" 역시 그러한 특징이 잘 나타난 작품으로 특히 시의 분위기를 음악에 충실히 표현하였다. M.Ravel(1875~1937)의 음악은 인상주의적인 색채, 민속적 요소를 사용함과 동시에 보다 자제적이고 형식적이며 고전주의적 특징을 갖추고 있다. "Cinq me′lodies Populaire Greques"는 민속 음악적 특징이 잘 결합된 곡으로 그리이스 민요를 수집하여 편곡한 곡이다. L.Bernstein (1918~ )은 20세기 미국의 지휘자요, 작곡가이며 피아니스트로서 활약 하였다. 본 논문에서는 그의 Song cycle "I hate music"의 분석으로 그의 성악작품 이해에 도움이 되고자 한다.;The writer gave a graduation recital on Sep. 20. 1989 for the Master of Music degree in voice performance. This thesis aimes to investigate the backgrounds and characteristics of the performed songs. G.F. Handel (1685-1759) was the representative of the Baroque period. He wrote dozens of secular operas, choral works, cantatas, and vocal chamber music. "Ku"nftger zeiter eitler Kumer" and "Das Zitternde Glanzer der Spielender Wellen" from Neun Deutsche Arien are both Da Capo arias, played with voiline and Klavier The theme of these songs is to show the greatfulness to God. W.A. Mozart(1756-1791) was the greatest master of the Classical Period. Although Mozart did not create the form of the Concert area, he contributed to the development of the Concert aria. "Alma grandee nobil core" K.578 is composed with rondo form. The meaning of the text and the structure of this aria reminds us of the dramatic and pictorial elements of opera. R. Schumann(1810-1856) composed five song cycles and several sets of songs which are related to texts by a single poet. The most important of these is op.98a, settings of 'Wilhelm Meister' by Goethe. Schumann's passion literature was almost as great as his love for music. In addition, he displayed a wonderful sense of balance between voice and piano. M. Ravel(1875-1937) emphasized classical line, folk elements, and dry wit in his vocal works. In "Cinq Melodies Populaires Gregues" there are some characteristics of folk elements. For example, Ravel uses narrow range, mode, and materials of ordinary life style. L. Bernstein (1918- ) had been persuing a parallel career as a pianist, conductor, and a composer of concert pieces, and works for the musical theatre. "I hate music" is a cycle of five kid songs for soprano. It shows many changes in tempo, meter, tonality and expressions.
