Johannes Brahms의 Horn trio Op.40에 대한 분석 연구

Abstract

Johannes Brahms (1833-1897년)는 고전적인 형식구조 안에 낭만적인 사상을 담아 자신만의 독특한 작품세계를 이룩한 작곡가로 특히, 실내악 작품들에서 그의 내성적이고 서정적인 예술적 정서가 잘어울려 나타나고 있다. Brahms는 1854년부터 1895년까지 41년에 걸쳐 총24개의 실내악을 작곡하였는데, 그의 실내악 작품들은 어느시기에 편중되지않고 고르게 쓰여졌다. 본 논문에서는 Brahms의 실내악에 나타난 일반적 특징들을 고찰한 후에, Horn Trio OP.40 E^(b)장조를 분석함으로써 작품에 나타난 그의 음악적 특징들을 살펴보았다. 그 결과, OP.40은 4악장의 구성을 갖는 곡으로 Brahms의 수많은 다악장형식의 기악곡들중 제1악장에 Sonata형식으로 쓰이지않은 유일한 곡이다. 즉 제1악장은 Rondo형식, 제2악장은 Scherzo와 Trio Da Capo 3부형식, 제3악장은 느린 3부형식, 제4악장은 Sonata형식으로 쓰여졌는데, 이러한 악장의 구성 형태는 고전시대 소나타의 악장구성순서를 뒤집어놓은 것이다. 선율은 민요에서 인용해 오기도하고 선법적 진행도 보이는데, 각 악장의 시작 선율이 4도나 5도의 도약음정으로 시작되어 악장간의 연관성을 지어주고있다. 또, 3도나 6도 옥타브에 의하여 선율이 중복되어 음량을 더욱 풍부하게 해주며, 선율의 전개는 동형진행, 모방, 성부교체등의 대위법적인 기법을 많이 사용하여 발전된다. 리듬은 2:3의 대비된 리듬의 사용이 빈번하고 붙임줄과 당김음의 잦은 사용으로 다양하고 변화있는 리듬의 형태를 갖는다. 조성은 근친조 이외에도 3도관계조, 같은 으뜸음조, 혹은 원격전조와 같은 급격한 전조와 반음계적 전조의 진행도 많다. 화음은 Ⅳ화음의 사용을 즐겨하여 Ⅳ-Ⅰ화음의 변격종지가 자주 나타나고 이명동음화음, 속7화음, 9화음 뿐만아니라 부7화음, 감7화음, 9화음의 다양한 화성진행으로 고전적인 형식위에 혁신적이고 보다 표현적인 낭만주의의 시도를 살펴볼수있다.;Johnnes Brahms, a composer who had achieved his unique work here by filling the classical form structure with the romantic thought, represented his introspective, lyrical, and artistic emotion especially in his works of chamber music with good matching. Brahms had composed the total 24 works of chamber music from 1854 to 1895, and these works were written equally without leaning in any special period. In this study, his musical qualities presented in his works was investigated by analyzing Horn Trio op.40 E^(b) Major after surveying the general qualities indicated by the chamber music in Brahm's works. As the results, op.40 which have a construction of four movement is only work with the first movement unwritten in sonata form among the number of cyclic form of instrumental music by Brahms. Namely the first movement was written in rondo form, the second movement written in the ternary form of scherzo and trio dacapi, the third movement in the slow ternary form, and the fourth, sonata form. This means that such a constructive form of movement came from the reversed order of construction with sonata movements in the classical period. Melody cited in the folksong and in the modal advance was repeated by 3th degree octave, and thus the volume became more abundant. Also the melody development has progressed by using much the counter pointae technique of sequence and imitation. Rhythm has the various and changeable rhythmic form by the frequent use of compared rhythm in a ratio, 2 to 3 and by the frequent use of tie syncopation. tonality showed the sudden modulation and chromatic modulation such as third degree relative key and the same tonic key, or the remote key as well as the immediate key. In the harmony, IV-degree harmony was used frequently and thus presented the plagal cadence of IV-I degree. And the romantic attempt more innovational and expressive above the classical form can be investigated with the variety of harmony-progress of enharmonic and dominant 7th chord and 9th chord.
