自然과 人間을 素材로 한 作品硏究

Abstract

예술이란 自我를 둘러싼 外界自然과, 現實의 生에 대한 內的 행동의 美的表現이라 할 수 있다. 다시 말하면, 예술은 作家의 世界觀내지 內面意識을 反映함과 동시에, 그 민족의 기질, 환경의 특성, 시대의 정신등을 나타낸다고 볼 수 있다. 한국의 繪畵는 時代마다의 特性을 키우며 변천해왔고, 朝鮮時代에 접어들면서 더욱 활발하게 展開되었다. 조선시대에는 王公貴族들과 士大夫들의 영향을 받으며 畵員들이 활동하였다. 따라서 이 시기의 회화는 畵風이 다양화 되고 복잡한 양상을 띠게 되었으며 이시대 特有의 畵風을 形成하였다. 그 중에서도 무엇보다도 특기할 점은, 종래의 中國畵風에서 탈피하여 한국의 自然과 現實生活에 눈을 돌려 시대에 부응하는 韓國的 畵風의 繪畵를 수립하려는 운동이 전개된 점이라고 볼 수 있다. 즉 조선후기 畵家인 鄭 敾의 眞景山水畵, 金 弘道, 申 潤福등의 風俗畵에서 가장 顯著하게 나타난다고 하겠다. 이들은 한국의 實景을 보고 그 아름다운 자연의 모습을 그렸고, 庶民生活의 모습과 풍속을 그려서 당시의 時代意識과 美意識을 反映하였다. 이에 本人은 위와같은 조선후기 회화의 精神을 올바르게 認識하고, 現代에 사는 우리自身과 그 주변의 현실을 깊이 把握하고자 하였다. 따라서 우리의 自然環境이나, 주위의 人物, 즉 현실에서 살아가는 人間의 모습을 素材로 하여 이를 畵面에 자연스럽게 끌어들이도록 努力하였다. 이는 곧 우리민족의 傳統的인 繪畵로 부터 오늘날의 시대의식에 적절하게 附合할 수 있는 探求精神과, 이를 土臺로 하여 좀더 自己化된 作品世界로 昇華시킬 수 있는 表現方法을 摸索해 보고자 하였다.;Art could be considered as an expression of inner behavior of a self on the surrounding nature and reality. In short, pictures reflects painter's world view and conscience, as well as the characteristic of the nation, environment and the time he belongs to. Korean painting added distinctive qualities with change of time especially during Choson Dynasty. During Chosen Dynasty, painter's activity was influenced by the royal family and the nobleman. Due to such fact, painting style diversified and became complicated to achieve a unique stance. The most noteworthy progress during this time was the effort to establish a Korean unique style apart from that of the conventional Chinese by emphasizing Korean natural beauty and realistic life style. In latter part of Choson Dynasty, Chong Sun was a famous painter of truthful and realistic natural sceneries while Kim Hong-do and Shin Yun-bok were noted for Genre painter. They tried to relflect the contemporary thought and beauty in pictures by capturing the realistic beauty of Korean nature, and the public life styles and customs. Here, I intend to deeply interpret myself and the surrounding by understanding the true nature of the latter Choson Dynasty painting In such sense, I have tried to introduce naturally the characters that we see everyday. I have also tried to explore the tie between the traditional and the contemporary thoughts upon which I have endeavored to seek an inspiration of a more self-based pictures.
