韓國畵에 있어서의 새로운 方法의 摸索

Abstract

繪畵가 시각현실을 造形語法으로 담아내지 못할 때 그것은 생명력이 결여된 자위행위나 자가당착이다. 즉 전래의 고루한 樣式主義는 더 이상 시대감각의 결여등으로 공감을 느끼기가 힘들다는 것이다. 오늘날 韓國畵에는 전통적인 東洋精神을 살려 현대적인 表現技法을 추출해 나간다는 경향과 종래의 韓國畵라는 觀念을 떠나 새로운 內容과 形式을 가진 것을 창조해 나갈려는 두 가지 경향이 있다. 이는 위에서 말한 고루한 전래의 樣式主義와는 다른 現代的 感覺의 도입을 시도하는 새로운 方法들이다. 本人의 作品은 후자에 속하며 전통이 양식적 고정성을 의미하는 것이 아니라 하나의 정신적 소산이며 따라서 정신적 요구와 당위에 따라 양식은 오히려 변형되고 오늘날의 전통이 또다시 생성된다는 순환논리의 관점에서 계속적인 새로운 방법의 시도로 전통의 확대 작업에 동참하고자 한다. 硏究의 目的은 本人 作品의 분석과 이론적 연구 기반을 연구함으써 本人 作品이 머무르고 있는 현 위치를 정확히 把握하고 앞으로 나아갈 방향을 가늠해 보는 데 있다. 먼저 本人 作品의 形式的인 面의 分析을 위해 韓國畵에 나타나고 있는 造形的 實驗에 관해 알아 보았다. 다음에 內容的인 面에 있어 本人의 作品이 사실적 形象을 추구하면서 빛의 Image를 나타내고자 했으므로, 사실적 形像을 추구하면서 어떤 Image를 환기시키는 작업을 한 作家를 예로 들어 분석해 봄으로써 本人 作品과 比較해 보고자 한다.;If picture can not express the visual reality in formative language, it is a mere self-consolation and seef-contradiction lacking in liveliness. It means that it is difficult to arouse sympathy with the conventional style which lacks in modern sense. Two kinds of trends are seen in today's Korean Painting One intends to generate new techniques for expressing the reflected modern senses while inheriting the traditional Oriental spirit, and the other attempts to create new qualities and style apart from the unventional concept of Korean painting. Both the trends tends to introduce modern senses different from the above mentioned conservative style. My work belongs to the latter case in the sense that I wish to participate in the expansioning of the tradition as new tradition evolves with the mental request and natural cause upon the basic principle that tradition is a mental asset rather than a fixed style. It is the purpose of this study to determine the present situation as well as the prospects of Korean at by interpretating my work and looking into supporting ideas which is now being tested. First, to interpretate my work, I have discussed the formative experiments which we can fined in modern Korean paintings. Next 1 selected some artist's works who attempted to seek image while trying to show realistic formation. And then, my ideas of image and formation will be discussed and examined by comparing with the trends which appeared by above mentioned artists.
