한국ㆍ일본ㆍ미국의 중학교 수학교과서 내용 분석비교

Abstract

The junior highschool mathematics textbooks used in Korea, Japan, and America, are analyzed comparatively on the following points; 1. the compilation and editings of those books, 2. the goals of math education and each individual school year, 3. the algebraic contents of each textbooks in the part of Number, Operation, Equation, and Inequality. A major difference found through the study is that a uniform evaluation of the individual's achievement level is possible in Korea, while adequate choices for the textbooks according to the requirements of each schools are possible in Japan and America. On the other hans, concerning the goals of math education and each school year, it is common to three countries cultivating the capability of solving problems. It is also shown that the textbooks of the three countries are much alike in the contents, and that those of Korean ones are edited and written down according to the 4th Education Curriculum.;현재 우리 나라 중학교 1·2·3학년에서 사용하고 있는 수학교과서의 내용과 일본·미국의 중학교 과정에서 사용하고 있는 수학교과서의 내용을 첫째, 교과서의 집필 및 편찬방법 둘째, 각 나라의 수학 교육목표와 학년목표 세째, 교과서 내용 을 분석·비교하고, 교과서 내용분석은 대수분야인 수와 연산 및 방정식·부등식을 학년별로 나누어 비교하였다. 분석·비교해 본 결과, 편찬방법의 차이는 우리 나라인 경우 국정교과서로 학생들의 학업 성취도 평가, 보충 등을 획일적으로 할 수 있고, 일본과 미국은 검인정교과서로 각 학교의 특성에 맞는 교과서를 선택할 수 있다. 수학의 교육목표와 학년목표의 비교에 있어서 현대수학이 추구하는 인본주의에 입각한 문제 해결능력을 배양하는 것이 주된 목적으로 되어 있어 차이가 거의 없었다. 그리고 내용분석에 있어서는 한·일·미, 세 나라의 내용이 거의 비슷하다. 다만 학습내용의 순서가 나라마다 학년별로 약간씩 다를 뿐이다. 우리 나라 수학교과서의 내용은 4차 교육과정에 맞게 편집, 수록되어 있다.
