Abstract

This thesis is a study of a author's Recital program, of which, J.S. Bach's Toccata BWV. 912, L.V. Beethoven's Sonata Op. 57, F. Chopin's Ballade Op. 52, C. Debussy's L'Isle joyeuse, and S . prokofiev's sonata Op. 38. J.S. Bach's toccata is one of musicel style of keyboard instrument in the late Baroque. The toccata is consist of imitative counterpoint and fantasia style. L.V. Beethoven's Sonata Op. 57 in Fminor was written in the second period. The sonata use of cyclic motive which was chracteristic of the Sonata in his second period. F. Chopin's Ballade Op. 52, as a sonata form is influenced from Romantic sonata form. The Ballade use of improvised ornamentation. chromaticism. and melodic imitation. C. Debussy's L,'Isle joyeuse use of nonfunctional-harmony, modal scales, whole-tone scale, ostinato pattern, pedal point, irregular rhythem and beat. Such factors are The chracteristic of Impressionism. S. Prokofiev's Sonata Op. 38 in C major is similar to the classical three-movement sonatas in its musical form, tempo. and tonality. Added to this is his innovational use of sudden modulations, bitonality. seventh chords, ninth chords, dissonant effects and frequent changes in the beat.;본 논문은 1987년 11월 6일 연구자의 졸업 연주회 (석사과정) 곡목이었던, J. S. Bach의 토카타, BWV. 912, L. V. Beethoven의 피아노 소나타 Op. 57, F. Chopin의 Ballade, Op. 52, C. Debussy의 「L'Isle joyeuse」, S. Prokofiev의 피아노 소나타 Op. 38을 분석하고 그들 의 음악 양식을 살펴본 것이다. J.S. Bach의 토카타 BWV. 912는 후기 바로크 시대의 중요한 건반악기 양식의 하나로서 자유스러운 환상곡풍의 부분과 대위법적 부분의 적절한 조화를 잘 나타내고 있다. L.V. Beethoven의 피아노 소나타 Op. 57은 그의 제 2기 소나타의 최고의 걸작으로서 제 1악장의 주제요소들을 전악장에 걸쳐 사용하는 방법으로 전체 악장의 통일감을 부여하는 기법적 특성이 잘 나타나 있다. F. Chopin의 발라드 Op. 52는 자유로운 소나타 형식으로 낭만주의 소나타 형식의 영향을 받았으며, 즉흥적인 장식음의 사용과 선율의 모방기법, 반음계적 진행 풍부한 화성등, Chopin의 음악적 특징들을 충분히 나타낸 작품이다. C. Debussy의 「L'Isle joyeuse」는 인상주의 음악의 특징인 비기능적 화음, 선법음계, 온음음계, Ostinato 음형, Pedal Point, 불규칙한 리듬과 박자등이 사용되었다. S. Prokofiev의 피아노 소나타 Op. 38은 악장의 형식 빠르기 및 조성에서는 고전주의 소나타와 유사하지만 갑작스런 전조, 복조적 구성, 7화음, 9화음등의 사용, 박자와 리듬의 잦은 변화등은 현대적 감각을 충분히 표현한 작품이다.
