韓國現代舞踊의 主題에 대한 考察

Abstract

본 논문은 60-70년대의 한국현대무용을 중심으로 주제를 개괄해 보고자 하는데 목적을 두었다. 현대무용은 발레와는 달리 표현에 중점을 두고 정신적인 것에 대해 관심이 집중되므로, 현대무용에 대한 연구는 무엇보다도 내용에서부터 출발하는 것이 옳은 일일 듯하다. 그러한 내용의 기본이 되는 사상이 주제이므로, 주제의 고찰을 통하여 현대무용에 대한 새로운 시각을 열어 줄 수 있을 것이다. 한국현대무용의 주제사를 개관함으로써 무용작가들의 의식세계가 드러난다. 주제야말로 작가 자신에게 가장 절실한 문제이기 때문이다. 작가의 현실에 대한 대응방식 ,그 작가가 속한 그룹의 집단의식(group consciousness), 현실구조와의 동족성(homologie)까지도 확대시켜서 논할 수가 있을 것이다. 그럼으로써, 무용이 무용 자체만의 영역을 벗어나서, 인간존재의 본질적 문제를 해명할 길이 트이리라 믿는다. 우리 현대무용의 주제는 몇 가지 계열로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 종교적인 긍정적 세계인식, 형이상학적 주제, 실존주의적 관심, 현대문명에 대한 비판, 전통의 재해석 등이 그것이다. 이를 인간의식의 일반적 성향에 비추어 보면, 한국현대무용의 주제는 대체로 초역사적인 것에 대한 개인적인 관심이 지배적이다.;This paper is focused on surveying the theme of Korean Contemporary Dance in the period of 1960's - 1970's. Contemporary Dance has consentrated on expression and spirituality, in contrast with Ballet. Therefore, the study on contemporary dance had better start with its content. As the theme is the basic thought of that content, we can acquire new perspective on modern dance by way of studying it. It would be appeard the choreographers' consciousness by surveying the history of its theme seen in Korean modern dance. Because the theme it self is indispensible to choreographers themselves. It can be discussed to the extent of the choreographers' method of confrontation to reality. Dance can be answered with the essential problem of human being, beyond the boundary of its own category. The theme intended in Korean contemporary dance is gener alized several tendency as follows : positive world - comprehension as a religionist, metaphysical theme, Existential problem, critique on modern civilization, re - examination of our pecuriar tradition. Analizing that in view of the general tendency in human consciousness, we can find out dominant the individual interests about the trans - historical in the theme of Korean modern dance.
