고교생의 영어학습에 나타난 오류분석

Abstract

오류는 언어습득과 학습에 있어서 필연적인 것으로서 오류의 발생 원인과 그의 처리는 언어교육 현장에서 중요한 문제가 된다. 이 연구는 제2 언어학습을 하는 데 있어서 불가피하게 나타나는 오류를 실험연구를 통하여 체계적으로 분류하고 서술하는 것을 그 목적으로 하여 다음 3가지 문제를 중점적으로 조사하였다. 첫째, 한국 고교생의 중간언어에 나타나는 오류의 구조는 어떤 것인가? 둘째, 그러한 오류의 주요한 근원이 무엇인가? 세째, 학습수준에 따라 학습의존도는 어떻게 나타날 것인가? 위의 문제를 해결하기 위해 고교생 150명을 대상으로 오류분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 유형별 오류 발생 빈도에서 어순 및 전치사의 오류가 가장 높고, 명사의 오류가 가장 낮다. 2) 오류의 주요한 근원으로는 언어전이와 규칙확대적용을 들 수 있으며, 주로 언어전이 보다 규칙확대적용에 의해 오류가 발생한다. 3) 학습수준이 낮을수록 언어전이에 많이 의존하나, 학습이 향상되면서 언어전이에 의한 오류는 감소하고 규칙확대적용에 의한 오류가 증가한다.;In recent years, there has been a stowing interest in errors made by learners learning an L_(1) or L_(2). A leerner's error is very important in the understanding of the learning process. This paper aims to classify and describe the errors high school students make while learning English as a second language, and to provide both students and teachers with effective ways of dealing with these errors. To get these goals, the following questions were dealt through the experiment. 1. What are the error structures in Interlanguage made by Korean high school students? 2. What is the principal source of the errors? 3. Which do the Learners depend upon more, language transfer or overgeneralization? The results is that the students make the most errors in order of words, the least in Noun. Such errors are caused by language transfer and overgeneralization. The results also indicate that most errors are dependent upon overgeneralization than transfer. This paper suggests to teachers that they should be generously interested in students' errors and try to decrease them.
