관계 데이타베이스에서의 View의 설계 및 구현

Abstract

This thesis studies the design and implementation of the view mechanism on the relational database. There are two basic methods of implementing the views - the actual results method and the potential results method. Considering the efficiency of the response time, the actual results method physically stores each view, and the potential results method does not physically store the view in order to reduce the expense of the storage and the triggered updates at the time when the underlying base table is modified. In this thesis, the view mechanism is designed such that the above-mentioned two methods can be implemented. Besides, for some views this mechanism is designed in order to achieve the updates through the view.;본 논문에서는 관계 데이타 베이스에서의 VIEW의 설계와 구현에 관하여 연구하였다. VIEW의 관리 기법에는 응답시간의 효율성을 고려하여 VIEW를 실제로 저장하는 기법과, 실제 저장하지 않음으로써 저장소의 낭비를 막고 베이스 테이블의 변경시 부수적인 관리를 줄일 수 있는 기법이 있는데, 본 연구에서는 두 기법이 모두 구현될 수 있도록 설계하였다. 또한 몇 개의 VIEW에 대해서는 VIEW를 통한 변경이 가능하게 설계되었다.
