중학교 전 교과서에 나오는 생물명에 관한 연구

Abstract

In order to obtain helpful materials for class-teaching in the middle school biology education, the kinds of organisms appearing in the Korean Middle School textbooks were surveyed and the results are as follows: 1. Total of 206 families, 91 orders, 34 classes and 10 phyla of animals, 94 families, 35 orders, 5 classes and 2 phyla of and 27 families, 21 orders, 14 classes and 6 phyla of protist-sappear in the Korean Middle School textbooks. 2. Total of 374 animal species, 329 plant species and 59 protist species appear 2862 times, 3032 times and 343 times, respectively. 3. The order of numbers of kinds appearing in the textbooks is animal most frequent, plant and protist least freguent. 4. There are many problems to be solved in terminology of biological names of the living organisms appearing in the Korean Middle School Textbooks.;현행 교육과정하에서 다루어지고 있는 초·중·고등학교 전 교과서에 나오는 생물의 종류와 그 빈도를 조사하는 것이 생물교육의 현장학습에 활용할 수 있는 소중한 자료가 될 수 있다. 그런뜻에서 현행 한국 중학교 전 과목의 교과서에 나오는 동·식물 및 원생생물의 출현 종류와 그 빈도를 조사·분석·검토한 결과는 아래와 같다. 1. 중학교 전과목 교과성에 나오는 생물은 동물이 10문, 34강, 91목, 206과이고, 식물은 2문, 5강, 35목, 94과이며, 원생생물은 6문, 14강, 21목, 27과로서 총 18문, 53강, 147목, 327과로 나타났다. 2. 각 교과서에 나타나는 생물의 종과 출현 빈도수는 동물이 374종 2862회, 식물이 329종· 3032회, 그리고 원생생물은 59종·343회로서 총762종·6237회로 나타났다. 3. 출현하는 생물의 종과 빈도수를 비교한 결과 동물이 가장 많으며 다음에 식물 그리고 원생생물의 순으로 나타나며 과학교과서에서 다루어지지 않은 생물 종류가 다른 교과목에서 다루어지고 있음이 적지않다는 것은 주목할 일이다. 4. 중학교 교과성에서 생물명을 다루는데 적지않은 문제점(생물명의 통일, 외래어 생물명 표기법등)이 발견되었는데 시급히 해결해야할 것이다.
