섬유작품의 형태를 통한 표현대상의 이미지

Abstract

Art begins with understanding all aspect of nature. The pursuit on beauty of nature in expressing as an Art form is not just copying nature itself but reconstructing it originally by the artist's subject. I studied the relationship of nature and art, forms and images on the basis of the theoretical background for this thesis "Image of the object through forms of fiber works. I arranged some works of fiber artists who's creativity influenced the Contemporary fiber art greatly. The purpose of this research is to find the aesthetic experience and expression possibility through image of the object in the process of the production of the work. Through these studies I come to a conclusion as follows : 1. The human being's desire for creativity has accomplished through consistent study on the nature and artists is not describe nature itself but express image through his own imagination. 2. I learned that in the process of expressing the examination of nature due to my opinion selected sea and woods proper to express in materials, quality and forms. 3. I think that the pursuit on image of the object through the relief forms of fiber works have exciting possibilities. 4. Tough fiber works required long time and efforts, I found it is possible to express in various ways through the study on the materials and the expression techniques.;예술은 자연의 모든 면을 이해하면서 시작된다. 따라서 자연에 대한 미적 추구가 현대에 와서는 자연을 그대로 재현하는 것이 아닌 작가의 주관에 의해서 독창적으로 표현하는 것이 오늘의 추세이다. 따라서 본인은 "섬유작품의 형태를 통한 표현대상의 이미지" 라는 주제를 설정하고 이를 위한 이론적 배경을 토대로 자연과 예술, 형태와 이미지에 대하여 고찰해 보고 이러한 이론적 배경을 바탕으로 현대 섬유예술가들의 작품세계를 표현대상의 이미지와 연관시켜 분석해 보았다. 작품제작과정에서 대상의 이미지를 통한 미적 체험과 표현 가능성을 찾는 것이 본 연구의 목적이다. 작품을 제작하는 과정에서 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 인간의 조형의지는 자연을 향한 끊임없는 연구를 통해 이루어 졌으며 작가들은 자연을 그대로 묘사하는 것이 아니라 작가의 주관에 의해 자연을 변형하여 표현하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 자연의 이미지를 본인의 주관에 따라 섬유작품으로 표현하는 과정에서 표현대상으로 선정한 바닷가와 나무는 재료와 질감 그리고 부조적 형태에 있어서 표현하기에 적절한 소재였다고 생각된다. 셋째, 섬유작품의 부조적 형태를 통한 표현대상의 이미지 추구는 앞으로도 많은 변화 가능성이 있을 것이라고 생각된다. 넷째, 섬유작품을 재작하는 데에는 많은 시간과 노력이 소요되지만 재료와 기법의 특성을 연구 개발함으로써 다양한 표현능력이 가능함을 알 수 있었다.
