유아의 욕구충족 지연행동에 관한 연구

Abstract

본 연구는 유아의 욕구충족 지연행동이 가정의 사회경제적 배경에 따라 어떤 차이가 나타나는가를 조사하였다. 본 연구에서 검토해 보고자 하는 문제는 다음과 같다. 1.유아의 욕구충족 지연정동은 가정의 사회경제적 배경에 따라서 어떠한 차이를 보이는가? 2. 사회 경제적 배경의 변인과 지연행동간에는 관계가 있는가? 3. 사회 경제적 배경에 따른 유아의 지연행동은 성별에 따라 차이가 있는가? 4. 지연행동의 척도인 가상적선택과 행동적선택간에는 관계가 있는가? 5. 실제적인 행동적선택에 있어서 즉각적인 보상과 지연된 보상의 네 항목간의 선택은 일관성이 있는가? 연구대상은 서울시내 두 군데의 유아교육기관 아동 201명이었다. 욕구충족 지연행동의 측정은 아동과의 개별적인 면접을 통해 두가지 방법으로 행하여졌다. 즉 가상적인 상황과 실제적인 상황에서 아동에게 주어지는 즉각적인 더 작은 보상과 지연에 따른 더 큰 보상간의 선택을 하게 하므로써 측정하였다. 결과 처리는 모두 x^(2) 검증을 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 가정의 사회경제적 배경은 유아의 지연행동과 매우 밀접한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 관계는 사회경제적 배경과 지연행동의 두 가지 척도를 각각 분리시켜 보았을 때에도 같이 나타났는데 가정의 사회경제적 수준이 높은 아동일수록 지연행동을 더 많이 보이는 경향이 있었다. 2. 사회경제적 배경의 변인인 부모의 학력과 부의 직업은 지연행동과 유의한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 3. 가정의 사회경제적 배경별로 본 남,녀아동의 지연행동에는 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났으며, 전체적인 남,녀아동의 지연행동 역시 유의한 차이가 없었다. 4. 지연행동 척도의 가성적선택과 행동적선택간에는 매우 유의한 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 지연행동의 두 가지 척도에서 반응하는 행동경향이 일관성이 있음을 알 수 있다. 5. 지연행동 척도의 행동적선택에서 아동들이 직접 선택한 네 가지 보상간에는 일관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 보상의 각 항목은 나머지 항목과 의미있게 관련되었다.;The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the delay of gratification of preschool children and socioeconomic background of their family. The main issues to be examined are as follows: 1. What difference does the delay of gratification of preschool children show according to socioeconomic background of their family? 2. is there any relationship between the variables of socioeconomic background and children's delay behavior? 3. Is there any sex difference in children's delay behavior according to their socioeconomic background? 4. As the measures of delay behavior, is the assumed choice related to the behavioral choice? 5. In the actual behavioral choice, is there consistency in four choices between immediate and delayed rewards? Subjects of study consist of 201 five or six year old children in eduational institution for preschool children at Seoul. To see children Is behavior on delay of gratification, the interview method was used in two ways. That is, interviews were to ask children to make a choice between an immediate smaller reward and a delayed but larger one in the assumed situation and the real. For data analysis , x^(2)-tests are applied. The major findings of the thesis are summarized as follows: 1. Socioeconomic background appears to be closely related to children's delay behavior. This relation is true to each scale of delay behavior when two scales of delay behavior are seperated. Children from the upper-middle class family are more likely than the lower-middle class to choose a delayed than immediate gratification. 2. Parentis education and father's occupation as variables of socioeconomic background show significant relations with children's delay behavior. 3. No sex defference is found in delay behavior of children as a whole. 4. The relation between the assumed choice and the behavioral choice appears to be significant , suggesting the consistence in behavioral trend responding to two scales of delay behavior 5. In the behavioral scale of delay behavior, consistency is founded among four rewards chosen by children directly. That is, the choice of each item of rewards is related of that of the other items.
