맞벌이 부부의 역할수행과 역할기대에 관한 연구

Abstract

기혼 여성의 취업은 가족원의 기능, 관계, 역할의 변화를 초래하여 이는 결과적으로 역할갈등, 역할과중등의 여러 가지 문제를 야기시키고 있다. 본 연구는 현대가족의 중심이 되는 부부를 대상으로 역할수행, 역할기대 및 그 차이에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하여, 사회사업가가 맞벌이 부부의 역할 기능상의 문제가 개입할 수 있는 근거를 제공하는 것이 목적이다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 기혼여성의 취업으로 인한 문제점, 부부의 역할수행과 역할기대, 맞벌이 부부의 가정내 역할 분담에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 문헌 연구와 맞벌이 부부의 역할수행과 역할기대를 알기 위한 질문지 조사를 병행하였다. 연구대상은 서울시내 탁아소를 이용하는 맞벌이 부부이고, 수집된 자료는 ANOVA와 Pearson's r을 사용하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 조사결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 맞벌이 부부의 역할수행과 역할기대 및 그 차이의 정도 역할수행 정도는 남편보다 부인이 높고, 상대에 대해 기대하는 정도는 부인보다 남편이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나, 수행정도와 상대방이 기대하는 정도간의 차이는 부인이나 남편에게 거의 비슷하게 나타났다. 2. 역할수행과 인구학적 특성과의 관계 부부 각각의 역할수행 정도는 나이, 월수입, 근무시간, 학력, 결혼햇수, 부인의 취업에 대한 남편의 태도와 상관관계를 나타냈다. 특히, 남편보다는 부인의 일반적 특성과 부인의 수행정도가 의미 있는 상관관계를 많이 나타냈는데, 그 중 월수입과 학력은 부인의 가사영역의 수행정도와 높은 상관관계를 나타냈다. 또한, 역할수행은 영역에 따라 부부 각각의 직업형태와 가족형태, 가사조력자 형태간에 차이를 나타냈다. 3. 역할기대와의 인구학적 특성과의 관계 역할기대는 역할수행 보다 부부 각각의 일반적 특성과 의미 있는 상관관계를 더 많이 나타냈다. 특히, 부부 각각의 월수입과 학력과는 正的 관계를 결혼햇수 부부간 근무시간의 차이와는 否的 관계를 나타냈다. 따라서, 부부 각각의 월수입이 높을수록 학력이 높을수록 상대에 대한 기대가 높고, 결혼햇수가 길수록 부부간의 근무시간의 차이가 클수록 상대에 대한 기대가 낮았다. 역할기대 정도는 영역에 따라 부부 각각의 직업형태간에 차이를 나타냈을 뿐 가족형태, 가사조력자형태, 종교형태, 결혼형태 간에는 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 4. 역할수행과 역할기대의 차이와 인구학적 특성과의 관계 부부간 역할수행과 기대의 차이는 역할기대와는 반대로 부부 각각의 월수입·학력이 높을수록 GAP이 적고, 결혼햇수가 길수록 부부간의 근무시간 차이가 클수록 GAP이 크게 나타났다. 5. 부부의 탁아소 이용 유형은 역할수행과 기대 및 그 차이와 거의 의미 있는 상관관계를 나타내지 않았다. 다만, 부인의 탁아소 이용 특성은 부인의 나이, 월수입, 근무시간, 학력, 결혼햇수와 상관관계를 나타냈다. 이상에서 부부 각각의 나이, 월수입, 학력, 결혼햇수, 남편의 부인의 취업에 대한 남편의 태도, 부부간 근무시간의 차이가 맞벌이 부부의 역할수행과 기대 및 그 차이에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인인 것으로 밝혀졌다. 따라서, 사회사업가가 이러한 요인에 대한 사전지식과 이해를 가진다면 맞벌이 부부의 역할기능상의 문제에 개입할 때 보다 전문적인 도움을 줄 수 있으리라 본다.;It is a world's trend that the number of married woman who has job is increasing. Even though it is worth welcomed, it also results in problems such as conflict and excess of role in the function of role of family members. So, the social workers are concentrating on the family and women newly. The purpose of this study is to test difference between the role-expectation and role-performance of working couple who has young children under 7 age. This survey is to test the degree and difference between the role-performance and expectation of each of working couple. Here, the role deals with child care, household care, economic activity, external activity and emotional area in family. Finding from the analysis of the data can be summarized as following. 1. Each of couple showed expectation of high level on the counterpart in whole area-of family role. Generally ,the degree of husband's expectation is higher than wife's, and the degree of wife's performance is higher than husband's. Especially there is a big different degree of performance between each of couple in household care. 2. The role-performance of each of couple has a mutual relation with his age, income, the degree of education, the year of marriage, working time, husband's attitude about wife's working. 3. The role-expectation on the counterpart has mutual relation with average working time per day, income, the degree of education, the year of marriage, a difference of each working time. Especially income and the degree of education have a positive relation with role-expectation, and a difference of each working time and the year of marriage have negative relation with it. 4. In difference between the role-expection and performance, income, the degree of education, the year of marriage are important variables. The higher income and the degree of education one has, the less difference there is ; the longer the year of marriage one has and the older one is, the more difference there is. 5. There is a difference in role-expectation and GAP according to each person's job , family, house helper, but in role-performance there is no difference to them. 6. When housewife uses the children daycare center, the type of use has low relation with her age, working time, income, the degree of education, the year of marriage. And it has difference to the type of job, not to the type of family and house helper. So, when social worker intervenes in a problem on the function of working couple's role, he must help them to have insight about the expectation and performance on the counterpart and to highten the husband's role-performance and to lower the expectation on the wife. In that way, social worker can help the couple to have a harmonious role-performance, and also contribute to a harmonious function of modern family.
