- This study of randomly selected office ladies aims at the comparative analysis of their occupation roles, a particularly important one of the noticed social roles which they have, and its influence on their clothing interest. As for the measuring instrument of clothing interest, the Clothing Interest Questionnaire completed by Susumu Koyama on the basis of the terms used for the Importance of Clothing Questionnaire by Creekmore was used. And as for the measuring instrument of work environment in workplace, the terms used by Susumu Koyama were applied after amending and supplementing them to make fit for the social environment of Korea and the subjects. The questionnaire of Lorsch-morse was used for the measurement of individual personality by individual variable and the N.S.Q (Need Satisfaction Questionnaire) of Porter was used for the measurement of individual need and then the data obtained were evaluated with amendment and supplement to make suitable for the social environment of Korea and the subjects.
Five hundred subjects were randomly chosen from a officelady population which engaged in four kinds of occupation, that is, professional and technical and administrative positions, business position, selling position and service position, and this classification by occupation was based upon the Annual Report on the Economically Active Population Survey. The data analysis was performed with frequency distribution, mean, standard deviation, Pearson's coefficient of correlation, Anova stepwise method regression analysis and these all were in use of SAS package.
The results obtained from data analysis are as follows:
1. In the characteristic of duty, the complexity of duty shows a correlation with the enhancement of awareness of clothes and the certainty of duty also shows a correlation with the pursuit of wear comfort.
2. The specialization of structure in organization shows a correlation not only with the enhancement of awareness of clothes but with the enhancement of individuality, in addition, with the behavior which the moo it comes near to the bureaucratic structure in workplace the more workers seek a modesty.
3. Both the strong unification of feelings and the participation in decision-makings of workplace show a correlation with seeking the good match of clothings and also with the behavior which the more the communication within their workplace is lively the more they pursue the conformity with the society and approval of social status.
4. In the characteristic of personality, a correlation is shown in the relation between the altitude toward individualism and the enhancement of individuality and the neatness of personal appearance.
as for the need, the need for the promotion shows a correlation with seeking the good match of clothings, the enhancement of individuality and the enhancement of psychological stability. The need for increase in salary shows a correlation with seeking the good match of clothings.
5. The subjects who are contented with different conditions around duties and with their own duties show a correlation with the neatness of personal appearance and the office ladies who feel a sense of alienation from their workplace and duties show lower interest even in the clothings.
6. In the demographic attribute, income, occuption and academic career have a great influence on the clothing interest.;本 硏究의 目的은 職場女性을 對象으로 社會的 役割에 主目하고 特히 그중에서도 重要한 職業的 役割이 個人의 衣服關心에 미치는 影響의 側面을 中心으로 밝히고자 한다.
衣服關心度의 測定道具는 Creekmore "Importance of clothing" Questionaire에서 妥當性과 信賴性이 인정된 項目을 基礎로 하여 神山 進이 被服關心度質間表를 完成한 것을 使用하였다.
職務環境의 測定道具는 神山 進의 被服關心と職務環境에서 信賴性이 인정된 項目이며, 個人의 Personality는 Lorsch=morse의 質間表로 測定하고 個人이 갖는 欲求는 Porter의 N.S.Q로 測定하고 이것을 우리 社會와 調査對象者에 맞게 修正 補完하여 使用하였다.
標集對象은 經濟活動人口年報에 의해 전문직, 기술직, 행정 관리직 종사자, 사무직 종사자, 판매직 종사자, 서어비스직 종사자등 4개의 職種에 종사하는 職場女性 500명을 選定하였고, 資料分析은 S.A.S Package를 使用하여 도수분포, 平均, 標準偏差, 積率相關係數, 分散分析, 遂次法(Stepwise) 回歸分析등을 實施하였다.
本 硏究의 資料分析 結果는 다음과 같다.
1. 職場에서 自己가 하고 있는 일이 確實한 女性일수록, 便安하고 活動的인 快適한 衣服에 關心을 나타냈다.
2. 官僚的이고 보수적인 職場분위기에서 일하는 女性은 禮儀를 갖춘, 점잖은 衣服에 關心을 나타냈다.
3. 職場에 강한 一體感을 가진 女性일수록 自己에게 잘 어울리는 衣服에 關心을 나타냈고, 職場에서 對人關係가 원만한 女性은 同僚集團에 同調할 수 있는 衣服에 關心을 나타냈다.
4. 集團作業보다도 혼자서 作業하는 것을 좋아하는 性格을 가전 女性일수록 他人에게 自身의 모습이 단정하게 보이는 衣服과, 自己 個性을 向上시킬 수 있는 衣服에 關心을 나타냈다.
昇進에의 欲求가 강한 女性일수록 自己에게 잘 어울리는 衣服과, 自己 個性을 向上시킬 수 있는 衣服과, 自身의 心理的 安定感을 向上시킬 수 있는 衣服에 關心을 나타냈다.
5. 自己의 職務에 滿足하는 女性일수록 合理的이고, 自身의 心理的 安定感을 向上시킬 수 있는 衣服에 關心을 나타냈고, 職場과 職務에서 疎外感을 느끼는 女性은 衣服에도 關心을 나타내지 않았다.
6. 外的基準인 人口學(Demographic) 屬性 중에서 衣服關心度와 待히 깊은 關係가 있는 屬性은 月收入 職業 學歷등으로 나타났다.
