경기농악의 춤사위에 관한 연구

Abstract

이 논문은 경기농악을 조사하고 그 중에서도 평택지방 판굿에서 벌어지는 법고춤과 무동춤의 춤사위를 분석하여 민속무용으로서 춤사위가 갖는 구성상의 특징을 조사하여 그 가치와 특성을 규명하고자 하는데 주안점을 둔 것이다. 웃다리가락의 정수로 알려져 있는 경기도 평택농악은 중부지방의 전통적 특징인 '째 '와 '진풀이 ' 즉 '진법'을 이어오는 것으로 비교적 그 지방적 특성의 원형을 유지하고 있었으며 또한 호남농악이나 경상농악의 연구는 많이 보고된 바 있었으나 경기농악은 개황조사는 되었으나 무용학적 연구는 이루어지지 않았으므로 경기농악 중 판굿에서 무용적 특성이 강하게 나타나는 법고춤과 무동춤을 중심으로 심층 분석하고자 하였으며 경기농악의 名人으로 알려진 상벅구 李川씨와 상쇠 崔殷昌씨를 만나 개인적인 면담을 통하여 법고춤과 무동춤의 원형을 살펴보고 종합하여 정리하였다. 법고춤에서 사용되는 춤사위들은 삼채벅구, 말벅구, 엎어백이,찍엄상, 앞차고돌기, 않을상, 솟음벅구 등과 같은 것들이 있었다. 이러한 춤사위들은 진법에 전반적으로 추어지며 벅구수 개인의 춤의 기량 보다는 진법의 대형을 만들기 위해 발동작은 걷거나 뛰는 것으로 구성된 것을 볼 수 있으며 solo춤의 다양함보다 마스게임형식을 이루고 있어, 전체적인 군무형태의 조화를 위한 조직적인 구성이 법고춤의 특징이라 할 수 있겠다. 또한 다양하고 변화가 다채로운 꽹과리 장단에 맞추어 힘이 있고 역동적이며 빠르고 느린 동작이 발달되어 있는 것을 발견할 수 있다. 또한 춤사위와 진법을 종합하여 장단과 연관지어 몇가지 특징과 의미를 찾아낸 결과, 돌림벅구에서는 원을 만들어서 소고잽이들이 빠르고 역동적인 말벅구동작으로 힘껏 뛰면서 원의 특성을 살려 대형과 춤사위와 장단이 서로 보안되어 한국춤의 한 특성인 도약의 의미를 더욱 강조시키고자 한 것으로 보이며 또 하나 대표적인 당산벌림대형에서 'ㄷ'자 대형을 만든 후 상쇠의 리드하에 소고잽이들이 태극모양을 그리며 'ㄷ'자형의 직선과 꺽인선에 태극곡선의 대조를 강조하며 서로 상충되는 이미지를 조화시키고자 하여 우리춤의 예술적 특성을 내포하고 있다는 점에서 중요한 의미를 지녔다고 볼 수 있다. 무동춤의 춤사위들은 깨끼춤, 쩍쩍이춤, 쾌자춤, 좌우치기 등과 같은 것으로 이루어져 있으며 이러한 무동춤의 특징은 어린 소년들의 춤인 만큼 귀엽고 아기자기한 멋과 흥겹고 소박한 우리 춤의 한 특성이 내재되어 있음을 알 수 있으며 경기농악의 무동춤은 他지방의 무동춤이 형식에 그치는 것에 비해 춤사위가 많이 발달되어 있고 판굿에서의 활약이 많다는 점이 특징이라 하겠다. 이상에서 밝혀 본 법고춤과 무동춤의 춤사위 연구는 민속춤의 한 종류의 발굴로 볼 수 있으며 그러한 춤사위가 한국무용의 창작과정에 새로운 춤사위의 소재를 제공할 수 있다는 것은 이 논문의 중요한 의의라 하겠다.;The emphasis is the placed on a close examination of the structual values and feautures of the dance environment as a folk dance through analysis of kyunggi farmer's music, especially Bopko Dance and Moodong Dance performed in Pankoot. The Kyunggido Pyungtaek farmer's music known as the purity of Wootdari Garak has been taking over central distracts typical features "Jjae" and "Jinpooli", "Jinbeop", Cemparatively maintaining local original form. Though both Honam and Kyungsang farmer's music have been studied and reported quite often, the study on dance of Kyunggi farmer's music has not been done. Though its outline survey has been pattern rather than the various styles of solo dance. The systematic structure for the harmony of entire group dance pattern is the characteristics of Bopko dance. It also proves very powerful, rapid and slow to the rythem of delicate and yet gay and pleasant metal drum (kkoiggari). The movements of dance environments of Moodong dance consists of kkaekichum, Jjeokjoki chum, koijachum and jwawoochikichum, which have the characteristics of cute, sweet, pleasant, gay and yet naive taste as they are the dance for young boys. The moodong dance of kyunggi farmer's music has much developed with its dance environments when comparing to the patterns done So deep analysis has been made on Bopgo dance and Moodong dance of pankoot among kyunggi farmer's music and overall survey and conclution on Bopko dance and Moodong dance have been made through the private interview with Mr. Sangbaekkoo Lee, Dolchoun and Mr. Sangsoi Choi, Eun Chang. The dance invironments used for Bopko dance consist of Samchebeokkoo, Malbeopkoo, Opebeki, Jtiomsang, Apchakodolki, Anjeulsang, and Sosembeokkoo. Such dance environments are performed entirely through Jinbeop, and to make the pattern of Jinbeop rather than the individual dance techniques of Bopkosoo, the movement of feet would either walk or jump, and would show massgame of Moodong dance of other local areas, and it would play important role in Pankoot. The study on the dance environments of Bopko dance and Moodong dance as revealed foregoing can be considered as the finding of on type of folk dance, and the important meanings of this thesis lies in suggesting the new subject matter of dance environments to the creative course of Korean dance.
