兒童의 集團演奏活動과 音樂才能 및 社會性과의 關係에 관한 一硏究

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effects o f group musical performance activity on children's musical talents and sociability and to find the correlation between musical talent s and sociability by empirical study. Modern society is composed of more and more complicated social organizations and its members realize the importance of interdependence and cooperation one another. Hence, it is of great concern to develop good personality and sociability at children's age. To achieve this, it is necessary for children to participate in group activities and to expose themselves to frequent interactions with peer group. Given such basic tasks of present society, children can have access to creative culture and artistic accomplishment through extracurricular activities suitable for individual character. Above all, group musical performance activity provides children with a sense of conformity and cooperation as well as emotional development. According to this assumption it is worth investigating whether group musical performance activity really cultivates children's personality, sociability and musical talents. Two kinds of tests are used for study : answersheet to measure the sociability and standardized musical talent test produced by professor U-Y. Hwang and professor R.H. Ryu. The tests are implemented toward 345 5th and 6th grade students of national and public elementary school located in Seoul by forming experimental group which participates in group musical performance activity and comparative group which doesn't. M. SD. t-test.r analysis is used and the result is as follows. 1. Musical talents of experimental group are higher at p<.01 level than those of comparative group in terms of length, rhythm, period, pitch, memory, score selection tests. Girls are more influenced than boys and 5th grade students are more influenced than 6th grade students by group musical performance activity. The result shows that musical talent is innate but also possible to be developed by musical experence. 2. Sociability of experimental group is higher than that of comparative group and it is also found that boys are more influenced than girls by group musical performance activity, whereas little difference between 5th and 6th grade students. 3. There is little correlation between sociability and musical talents in comparative group and experimental group, boys and girls. as a result, we have come to know that group musical performance activity which prevents children from studying has great influence on their musical talents and sociability and there is little correlation between musical talents and sociability.;本 硏究는 集團演奏活動이 兒童들의 音樂才能 및 社會性에 影響을 미치고 있는 가의 與否와, 또한 音樂才能과 社會性 間의 關係를 實證的으로 究明하고저 함이다. 現代社會는 더욱 複雜한 社會組織을 갖게 되고 社會成員들은 相互依存 및 協力關係를 더 하지 않을 수 없는 실정에 있게 되었다. 그러므로 참다운 人間性, 社會性을 키워 주어야 하는데, 兒童期에 들어서면서 人間關係는 한층 더 活潑하게 形成되며, 특히 主體的으로 參加하고 있는 同僚와 더불어 풍족한 生活을 해 나가는 속에서야 말로, 참다운 人間性, 社會性이 키워 질 수 있을 것이다. 그러므로 오늘날 社會가 지닌 基本的 課題에 호응하여, 자기의 個性에 적합한 文化 및 예능 活動을 적극적으로 推進 하므로써 全人的인 人間形成에 도움을 주는 特別活動, 그중에서도 協同的인 性格을 함양시켜주며 秩序와 變化를 주는 집단연주활동에 兒童들이 참여 하므로써, 과연 참다운 協同性, 調和性, 音樂性이 키워질 수 있는가를 調査해 보아야 될 줄 안다. 그러므로 이에 本 硏究者는 集團演奏活動에 참여하는 硏究集團과 참여 하지 않는 比較集團을 形成하여, 황 응연, 류 덕희 교수가 製作한 標準化 音樂才能 檢査와 社會性 測定을 위한 質問紙를 서울시내 국립, 공립 國民學校 5, 6學年 兒童 345名에게 實施하였다. 그 結果 處理는 M, SD, t-test, r로 處理하였으며, 그 結果는 다음과 같다. 1. 音樂才能 面에서, 集團演奏活動을 하는 硏究集團이 比較集團보다 길이, 리듬, 음마침, 높낮이, 음외우기, 악보가리기 檢査에서 P<.01 水準에서 퍽 有意한 差가 있음이 나타났다. 즉 集團演奏活動이 音樂才能에 影響을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었고, 女子가 男子보다 5學年이 6學年보다 集團演奏活動을 통해 더 많은 影響을 받고 있음이 나타났다. 이 結果 音樂才能이 先天的인 面도 있으나, 音樂的 經驗을 통하여 發展할 수 있는 可能性이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 2. 社會性 面에서, 集團演奏活動을 하는 硏究集團이 比較集團보다 사회성이 높게 나타났다. 즉 集團演奏活動이 社會性에 影響을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었고, 男子가 女子보다 集團演奏活動을 통해 社會性에 더 많은 影響을 받고 있으나, 5·6學年 間의 社會性에 影響받고 있는 狀態는 차이가 없음을 알 수 있었다. 3. 音樂才能과 社會性 間의 相關關係에서, 硏究集團 및 比較集團에서도, 性別 間에서도, 모두 별 相關이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 結論的으로 時間을 뺏겨 공부에 지장을 준다는 이유로 회피하려고 하는 集團演奏活動이 兒童들의 音樂才能과 社會性에 많은 影響을 준다는 점을 알 수 있었으며, 音樂才能과 社會性 間의 關係는 거의 없는 것으로 밝혀졌다.
