초·중·고등학교 생물교과서에 나오는 생물명에 관한 연구

Abstract

국민학교의 「슬기로운 생활」, 「자연」교과서, 중학교의 「과학」교과서, 고등학교의 「생물」교과서를 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 1. 국민학교, 중학교, 고등학교 교과서에서 출현한 생물은 국민학교인 경우 6문(Phylum), 13강(Class), 37목(Order), 52과(Family), 63속(Genus)이며, 중학교인 경우 14문(Phylum), 40강(Class), 99목(Order), 135과(Family), 171속(Genus)이며, 고등학교인 경우 23문(Phylum), 58강(Class), 125목(Order), 168과(Family), 216속(Genus)으로 나타났다. 2. 각 교과서에서 나타나는 종(Species)과 출현 빈도수를 조사한 결과, 국민학교인 경우 73종 478회이며, 중학교인 경우 203종, 907회이며, 고등학교인 경우 703종 1595회 출현함을 알 수 있었다. 3. 고등학교, 중학교, 국민학교순으로 출현 종(Species)과 출현빈도수가 많으며, 특히 고등학교인 경우 5종의 교과서에 따라 그 차이가 큰 편이라 교과서 선택에 유의해야 할 것이다.;An analysis of the biology textbook for primary, junior and senior high schools indicates findings, as follows: 1. The animals carried in the biology textbook for the primary school consist of 6 phylums, 13 classes, 37 orders, 52 families and 63 genuses; that for junior high schools, of 14 phylums, 40 classes, 99 orders, 135 families, and 171 genuses; that for senior high schools, on the average, of 23 phylums, 58 classes, 125 orders, 168 families, and 216 genuses. 2. An investigation of number of species and their frequency of appearance reveals that the textbook for the primary school consists of 73 species and 478 times; that for junior high schools, of 203 species, 907 times; that for senior high schools, of 703 species, 1595 times. 3. Number of species and their frequency of sppearance are, from high to 1low, in order of senior, junior high and primary schools. Inasmuch as there is a sharp contrast among five different textbooks for the senior high school, discretion is needed for the choice of the textbooks.
